  • Easy install of the DV8 front inner fender panels for the 2020 JLUR. Very nice, lite and airy. I decided to paint the inserts red after some input.
    I would HIGHLY recommend that you keep the OEM plastic and carefully trim it to fit the exposed portions above. Especially for those of you in the wetter areas of the country.

    That’s awesome, I might get the Artec inner fenders and I don’t want to leave the top part of the fender exposed, I will probably do what you did and trim the stock liner just enough to cover that upper part. Your vid really helped with that idea. Great vid! :)

      I just did the same thing with my rear Metalcloak fenders. Have to upload that video. The passenger rear has components tucked up in there as well. Good luck!

    They look nice, BUT i keep hearing the install is difficult, parts do NOT line up as they should, makes me hesitant to buy them. They do look like they will let more dirt and water into the engine, but could also provide better engine heat dispursion.

      Easy install for me but I am sure there are some who may have trouble. A hole slightly off never bothers me unless it is extremely bad. That said, the dirt and water don't bother me. Water .. I am in AZ so no issues. Dirt ... no more than not having them. Dust gets in no matter what. Cooling ... I will say that these and removing my hood vents when wheeling has my engine 5-10 degrees cooler and I rarely get the "JL fan" on the trail.

    My jackstands are a RUclips star now😂
    I like the look
    And they breathe so that’s gonna help in the summer when it’s 157 degrees ☠️

    I am the main driver of the diesel version, can I install it differently from the ordinary version?

      No idea, the diesel engine has a different config. Give them a call. I cannot imagine it is too much different tho.

    You should of shown how to paint them

      Fair point. TBH I didn't think I wanted to paint them until my kids suggested it. I'd recommend that they be sanded well to scuff them up well so the paint adheres.

      Thanks! Do you feel like you get a lot of rattle from the fender.. I am looking to purchase but am skeptical because of the rattle

      @@210gunz I have ZERO rattle but I put a small dot of locktite on the screws to prevent it. I wheel hard and have had a rub on the paint and no sound at all. Tighten it well but don't strip the screw

    LOL!!! @12:18 I saw your stash of TP and PT. Like the vid. What kind of paint did you use on the screens, and # coats?

    • @AZRubicon1
      @AZRubicon1  3 года назад

      Costco TP/PT's. The inner fenders come powder coated black, the screens I painted with Rust-Oleum Red $6 a can at Lowes. Sanded before I painted, 4 coats, let dry in the AZ sun for a full day.

    Great video but could've done without the obnoxiously loud music
