Same here. The lady who did my exam was out to get me from the get go. Said it wasn’t service related even with my medical report along with the surgical report. Going to dispute it again. Good luck on your claim
husband has been trying to get something done since 2010 & nothing has been done YET the VA has ALL his medical records & the dr's have "SAID" he cant work but won't PUT> unworkable on the report they make out, NOW WHY IS THAT?? that's NOT RIGHT! ! !
@@VAClaimsInsider so I'm HOPING the person we talk to last week will help us get this solved but we'll have to wait till after the holidays are over with to see what happens & go from there.
Nene Grande are you checking your status on ebenefits? Plus you might not hear nothing until they make a decision and send you a determination letter. You might see something in 1-3 months.
@@saleens330 Yes, that's what I did. Just check your status on ebenefits and it will make you go to va.gov. Now all open claims have been moved to va.gov. It says that when you go to ebenefits to check on your claim.
This might be for new claims, which I have, but I can also go to ebenefits. Then click on disabilities. Scroll down and see pending claims and it’ll give her updated info if you click on that disability. But like mentioned, you can click on work In progress and go to the va.gov, login in again and check that status too.
Thank you so much for all the information. I am looking at getting on with the claims insider after listening to your post and the fact that I was denied benefits for active duty combat conditions. By the way, my son suggested that you get a different shirt that shows your website backwards so it shows up in a regular way on the videos. Hope that makes sense. Sorry, I lost my vision so I could not see that myself. That was also caused by the military, but somehow, I was denied. Hard to believe.

Brian, please advise. I have TBI rated at 0%. I'm already seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist. I've been prescribed medications for depression, anxiety, hyper vigilance and insomnia. With that said, Can I be evaluated by your medical staff and be given DBQ to increase my TBI? Would the VA still want me to come in for C & P an exam? Please advise!
Hi I'm Lena and in short. I was denied disability because I was told that there is no medical record for me in the system. Some years back I was told my l records was lost in a fire. I don't want to put my life on this platform for the world too see.

Hey bro my name is Earnest McCray and I had hyperthyroid toxic disease while I was active duty and I had all of the symptoms and everything but the doctors kept saying I had the stomach virus and I had this since 2002 while I was on active duty and I found a DBQ that indicated that it was resolved in 2004 but if you know anything about the disease it is not curable so I will be taking medication for the rest of my life and also the VA diagnosed me with it and 2010 so they gave me radiation medicine for it which reverse the diagnosis and now I have hypothyroid toxic disease so when I filed my claim they denied me for it. How do you think I should proceed this?
I've been out of the navy for 9 years. No one ever told me about what disability really is. My 6 claims just got denied. I know I'm going to appeal. Thank you for the video. Just having a hard time figuring out how to prove that after 9 years I'm supposed to prove it. Even tho it's on my military records.....

Question. I was denied sleep apnea compensation because the board raters determined that it was not service connected based on dates. They claim I was not in military service. I was transitioning into the AGR program. Literally it states because of 3 days in break in service even thou VA determine that I suffer from sleep apnea and CPAP machine was issue from VA.
I Filed a Claim In 2013, I Have Just Recently Heard Back From The VA in December, I Went To A C&P Exam In January they Gave Me 60% and Won’t Back Pay Me from 2013!!
Brian, are the records from military one source available. I know the whole point of military one source is to discreetly get counseling and if I remember correctly they said they do not keep records. Have you ever had anyone be able to get something from them to help with their case?
How come when I was hurt in Vietnam and taken to hospital for lower back injury and it’s on military record why would they denie lower back pain. I understand it’s been 50 years but been to va twice for it also
They shouldn't be. If it's clearly in your service treatment records, it should be service connected. Might be that there isn't a strong history of medical issues AFTER you left the service. You'll need a medical nexus opinion now. You can join our Elite Program here: vaclaimsinsiderelite.com
Thanks again for all the great info and awesome videos, I’m 100% p/t under IU, but have diagnoses for incomplete paraplegia, bowel program, and a few other ones listed with a number diagnostic but I am not rated on, I believe I should be 100% P/t,without the IU rating what are your thoughts? My husband was just denied on his PTSD claim. Vietnam Vet. We’ll appeal but so very disappointed.
Pat Boyd go to a private psychologist or psychiatrist dr and it can help your claim

You'll need to do a second sleep study to confirm, first. There are many false negatives on sleep studies so do another one!
Airborne Paratrooper here... Do I need the DBQ and/or the Drs. nexus letter?
