      This should not be a "this or that" question. Hasselback does not understand that an ectopic pregnancy (tubal pregnancy) is a *medical condition* and termination of the pregnancy (abortion) is a *medical procedure* . Behar had a life-threatening medical condition and then she had medical procedure that saved her life. She had a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy, then she had an abortion to terminate the pregnancy in order to save her life from the life-threatening condition.

      Sara Haines identifies herself as an Independent (or centrist / sideliner). She represents us centrists who are continually tussled and accused by both sides of the political spectrum for “not being with us” or “sellout” because they speculate that we think and vote differently for attention.
      In actuality, centrists will always try to be fair, listen to both sides of the argument, examine every issue being discussed from every angle, and state our opinion (whether we agree strongly with one side, moderately on both sides, or unanimously on neither). Our stance has always been “social progress but not at the cost of detriment to social order”.

That or she defied God, and also killed her babies, by continuing to try when she knew they were likely to die instead. I don't believe anything so cruel. But it's the perfect twin to the "No abortions" "God makes no mistakes" logic she is pushing as the only righteous answer. By that logic we would just let all cancer patients die, and would never ever take anyone off of machines after they truly passed away. It's idiocy. Which could be allowed and ignored if it wasn't killing people, getting women beaten, and put many many many people at risk of every sort of possible abuse... including children that would get raised in abusive homes in which they would be unwanted, or a means by which to abuse or control the mother... On and on... the endless sea of horrors that mindset invites is not the future that any sane person could want. Someone needs to tell Elisabeth that terminating an ectopic pregnancy would require an abortion. To cover themselves legally, the hospice will require you to carry on with the impossible pregnancy until you are on the very brink of death. You likely will lose your ability to have children and you may die. Dealing with a miscarriage that has not passed also would also require what is technically abortion even though the fetus has already died. You risk a septic uterus, blood clot and stroke, sterilization, sepsis, and death because doctors will not want to risk prison to remove the dead fetus.

      It’s a “pro-life” talking point. They continue to say medical care for miscarriages, ectopic pregnancy, fetal demise and more isn’t “abortion”. It absolutely is coded and considered an abortion in medical terms. Abortion is the term used by doctors, nurses, and medical professionals for anything related to the ending of a pregnancy. This is how they are passing laws without exceptions - they are telling people the aforementioned situations don’t count as abortion. We must call these people out on this as it is 100% DISINFORMATION. And this is how they are passing abortion laws with NO EXCEPTION for rape incest and life of the mother. Then they blame the doctors when women come forward with stories of how they were denied care during their miscarriage and fetal demise. It’s a part of their plan. They do not care if women die.

      Also, that book tells us that God gave us free will to follow his principles, or to not follow them. So the christians that don't acknowledge this are literally disobeying their own God. How can they force something on someone that not even God is forcing on them. It literally says to preach your beliefs, but if someone doesn't want to listen, or isn't interested, then leave them alone and walk away. It also says that every person will be held accountable by God. It also says to stay out of the world, but so many christians constantly take sides in the world, especially in politics, and it doesn't get more worldly than that. So this type of stuff has been answered and clarified in a healthy way. Basically, most christians are not actually living by that book. Which is why so many of them end up being called hypocrites. It's reasons like this that Jesus literally called many religious leaders that claimed to follow the bible hypocrites.

    • @Leoo117
      @Leoo117 Год назад +1

      @@AK-vq1oy That's a good point. Well if a Christian is going by the book that their religion is based on, they wouldn't vote at all, and they wouldn't impose anything on anyone that way either. Jesus saying that his followers are no part of the world suggests this, and he says the world will literally hate them for it like it hated him. I know the bible talks about being ambassadors of Christ. So it's more like your vote goes to Christ and his father, rather than man's politics. How can you vote for one person as your chosen leader, and then turn around and claim to follow the God of the bible as your leader? That's technically more hypocrisy.
      Also, according to the bible, Satan the devil literally offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world at one point to get Jesus to worship him instead of his father. Jesus refused, but that suggests that Satan is the actual God of this world right now, so that means that voting in this system would go against a Christian's beliefs. That's IF they actually want to fully follow what the bible says anyway.
      But people like Elizabeth have been participating in the world for so long, she would likely feel uncomfortable if you showed her those scriptures, and she would likely rationalize it away so she can keep doing what she wants.
      I don't think she is a bad person or anything, but I know it's just scary to let go of long time beliefs, even if the main thing your religion is based on tells you to. So really, most Christian's just aren't following their own book that their religion is based on.

A woman who is carrying a life within herself (an evolved sentient being) is responsible to herself and her unborn pregnancy within her. If her decision is based on best efforts to make a decision (albeit difficult one) that is in the best interest of herself AND her unborn pregnancy; that is HER decision and that is a pro-life choice ... in its essence. I wish somebody would challenge Elizabeth on a couple points:
    1) She said she struggled with fertility; does she believe in vitro fertilization is a sin? This practice creates and destroys embryos. It would be so wrong for me to say to her, why don’t you just adopt, obviously God doesn’t want you to reproduce, but she is essentially using the same logic on other women's reproductive journeys.
    2) She brings up a child who was born due to rape, but what about a child born because their mother had an abortion prior to them being born. Many women who have abortions go on to have other kids. My mom had an abortion and then had me when she was ready. The way women’s ovulation works, if she would have had the kid she aborted, I would not have been born. If Elizabeth truly believe God has a plan and purpose for every life, what about mine? The reality is life and death play out in a million ways every day, she and people who are pro-life think they get to play God. A woman loses an egg every month that egg had the potential for life, but that woman bleeds and rides the wave of hormones and keeps living, it is the nature of life that not every potential life becomes a fully formed human.
    3) I find it ironic she is fine with her kids and other kids playing football and exposing their young, developing brains to traumatic brain injury for entertainment’s sake, this is so inconsistent. I'd also ask her about her position on gun control.

    Yes, many agencies are there to help moms get their baby adopted at birth. That's the key, at birth. That's when many people who wants to adopt would like to adopt at that stage. However, I have seen so many social services trying their hardest to place older kids into adoptive families. There are ads from Texas trying to place older Caucasian kids into families. So, it's not just other races and/or ethnicities. And there are not enough foster families available to adopt older kids. Many government agencies go to households to solicit help from families to be a foster family or to be an adoptive family. So no, it's not an absolute solution to have that child to be adopted and to be well taken care of. In other words, there are not that many Angelina Jolie or Madonna in this world to adopt kids and to provide a good life. Otherwise, there wouldn't be stories like "Oliver" by Charles Dickens. Or, Annie, the Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Annie and the 1885 poem "Little Orphant Annie" written by James Whitcomb Riley.
