If you watched the show Meghan has her own temper tantrums almost every day. She reads her ignorant notes that are mostly right wing conspiracy theories and the guest on the show prove her wrong every day and then she almost starts to cry. Joy points out that her claims are ignorant and Meghan starts talking over everyone and then turns toward the audience and yells at them to. This was about a decade ago so hopefully she's updated her understanding of the morning after pill. Some seem to believe (especially when it was introduced) that it's an abortion pill, but it's not. If you are pregnant and you take the morning after pill, you're still pregnant, that's why they stress that you need to take it as quickly as possible for the best chance of it preventing pregnancy.

This was about a decade ago so hopefully she's updated her understanding of the morning after pill. Some seem to believe (especially when it was introduced) that it's an abortion pill, but it's not. If you are pregnant and you take the morning after pill, you're still pregnant, that's why they stress that you need to take it as quickly as possible for the best chance of it preventing pregnancy.

I think the discussion was about the morning after pill being regulated by the government. The same people who want government ran health care were saying the government shouldn't have a say in the moring after pill. So basically on one hand saying you want the government involved in healthcare but they shouldn't have a say in it. That's a contradiction.

If the pill is going to be paid by the government, the two things are inextricably linked. Ivan, I think there may be a language problem. Nobody is saying the government is forcing anyone to have an abortion. The issue for most is the tax dollars going for something found morally reprehensible thing.

comparing universal healthcare, meaning everyone pays into it so that you can go to the doctor and not have a bill at the end, to being able to purchase medication without a prescription is a false equivocation.
Everyone pays their tax dollars into a military which kills innocent people by the thousands every year. THAT is an example of tax dollars going for something many people find morally reprehensible.
People taking a morning after pill doesnt murder a baby anymore than someone jerking off and killing millions of sperm at once.
