Just ordered this shifter for my 7R manual. Thank you for your time making this video. I downloaded the 3d file for the bushing, we will see if i need that for a 7R.

just a heads up, they now have a mk7.5 shifter with the larger pin for the cable.

Hi mate fitted one to my R but have no reverse and movement to the right is minimal
Any advice?
Did you have to adjust the cables other than the being “centre” or just the shifter itself?

I believe i had my wife hold it as centered as possible while i did the cables

good video ! im looking to do the same on my a3 8p and yeah! do you need to set anything for the cable lenght acxept 4rt gear or youu have to do stuff for reverse ?

Just install a lock out screw so when you pull up on the release it bypasses the set screw so you can go into reverse
