Back in 2014 i used to try and get on to any raid team i could, but all of them rejected me because i was a squeaker. I remember sitting in orbit waiting for a response, and after hours waiting, not getting a single one. The main theme from this is what kept me company in orbit when no one else would; and every time i hear the piano part at the end i tear up thinking of how euphoric it was when a group finally let me raid with them...
I remember a view years ago, I was making a presentation in my Music Theory class. We got to choose any artist we took some form of inspiration from, and most people would choose modern day artists, or some older bands; but I stuck with Martin O'Donnell. I was only about 15 when I chose him for the presentation, but I grew up with his music in a way. I grew up on Halo, then grew up through my teen years on Destiny, Bungie has been with me my whole life, and I can't be upset about that. When I was doing research about Martin's life and his career, I would put on his tracks in the background- just for background music. When I heard this song start playing, it hit me... It truly did, it made me just completely break down. It sounds stupid, but I truly did, his music has been their, the experiences through the music, and the atmosphere his music and the game makes is insane. I know Destiny, and Bungie have had their ups and down, but truly Destiny has saved me, and has been with me since its release. I can't imagine how my life would've been without it. The violin build up always makes me break down and have to pause, and reminisce. I'll always enjoy his tracks..
This is the most beautiful piece of music I’ve ever heard. It’s triumphant first half, with a beautiful second half are amazing. The trumpet solo leading into a flute duet give me chills. This piece really is a piece of art

The opening of this reminds me a lot of the first part of Gustav Holt's Jupiter from The Planets, I feel as if a little inspiration was taken from that and incorporated in this.
You know. I won’t lie. I just heard this track at the end of Hush’s recent video, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. It took me right back to 2014, when my friend invited me over to his house to play the beta for the first time. We stayed up all night, and went into the weekend just playing Destiny. Man what I wouldn’t give to have those times back. Eyes up, Guardian.
This score embodies both destiny 1 and 2 in my opinion. It starts off triumphant (in reference to destiny 1) but becomes melancholy and almost tragic in the wake of destiny 2. That being because of the red war, and the second dark age coming.
That beginning sounds really similar to the part at the end of tfs where us (the guardian), savala, ikora and crow are looking over at the city with the lanterns going up into the sky
Well what are you going to do on Jupiter? Swim? Doesn't make much sense for there to be a landing zone on Jupiter. But we have been able to go to Io and Titan, and the Dreadnought was in orbit around Jupiter as well.
I desperately wish this was in the game. Maybe after a long and hard journey the speaker and everyone else at the tower all come together to congratulate you and your fireteam for accomplishing some huge task... maybe after defeating Oryx or defeating the last Raid boss of Destiny 1 (Aksis) finally bringing a proper close to a game which had such a long run. I hope someday they use this song, and I hope to god it’s for something that truly challenged everyone. Maybe it’s for completing all the raids for the first time, maybe it’s for reconquering a new land that was taken by the darkness, maybe it’s for forming an alliance with the enemy. Who knows... I just hope this gets used so badly.
Fitting since Io is the last place the traveler touched and the place most rich in its light, the place were the tree of silver wings bloom and where the darkness now lies trying to corrupt it.
I've only been playing D2 for about a year now, and I've never played D1, so I'll never experience most of the nostalgia that the veterans feel, but just listening to the music from the old stuff I can imagine exactly what they describe, and it is truly a beautiful thing. I hope to continue to play this game and be a part of it's community, because without it I don't know what my life would look like. Thank you, Bungie

Ok, this is how things should play out 0:00 shot of the tower from a distance, music starts playing triumpahantly after defeating the witness. Trumpets pointed towards the sky as a ceremony begins, showing falling confetting and pettles from the skj. As the lower tone trumpets begin playing, theres some caskets of fallen guardians being walked through the center lane of the ceremony with tapestry covering the top, honoring those who fought for humanity. *violins start playing* Zavala/Ikora/(maybe)cayde at a podium starts talking, congratulating and showing gratitude to your guardian and your fireteam (maybe directly after beating the raid) for defeating the witness They reminisce on the many many seemingly impossible victories we pulled off, and those who we lost in the process. Perhaps if possible they can include extra dialogue talking about the different raid bosses you have killed since D1 vanilla, being Atheon, Crota, Oryx, Aksis, the leviathan raid, Riven, Rhulk, Nezarac, and now the Witness. All of whom threatened humanity's very existence. Realize that this would be the first victory the traveler ever truly had over the darkness as it would normally run away to preserve itself rather than stand down and die. I think between the gaps of dialogue there could be shots of guardians or the fireteam our guardian standing at the podium, perhaps some characters in the crowd celebrating but also still possibly mourning some losses from the battles. In the crowd you can see members even of different alien factions we managed to befriend: Caitl's cabal as well as herself, fallen refugees, perhaps maybe savathun or just immaru. Given the witness was also a threat to savathun, I could see her being there too. So maybe your guardian wont just get a shiny medal for beating the witness, but rather something more. Maybe a new title like "Vanguard" or something along those lines of prestige. Maybe it can be gilded based on previous triumphs and raid completions on your account, maybe you get access to special features of the endgame, etc. Anyways, this is my ending I suppose. Even if it doesnt come close, this is good enough for me to imagine.
