I'd say he's probably the best villain. Definitely a top 10 character overall, but thats just me. His theme is definitely top 3 at least in the series, and that i firmly believe it to be a fact and not opinion X)
I love how in I think season 13 they reveled that the Meta never wanted to be evil, it wanted to be human, through any means necessary, it makes Maine and the Meta feel tragic in a way, Maine was the victim of a horrible organization, he was used as their brute, their strongman, he didn't matter to them outside of that. The Meta was a bunch of AI fragments who just wanted to be whole again but knew that the only way to become whole again would be to take the other fragments by force and to kill its way to humanity. What a truly amazing Villain for a show to have, one whos impact is felt for awhile with intresting dynamics with other characters, like Wash and Carolina, Wash worked with him after he lost all his AI, leaving behind a angry husk of a man just looking for anyway to become whole and stronger, Carolina seemed to be his friend long ago, she made no attempt to fight back when she first spotted the Meta pushing towards her to rip the AIs out her neck, she yells at Church saying "You didn't know Maine like I did" when he says shes acting like the Maine he knew, wanting more and more to be better. And of course his armor comes back, a suit full of powers operated once again by the fragments of Doctor Lennard Church, but this time to help people because the fragment was already human, Church basically reached the Meta stage for AI, and understood he could sacrifice himself for the greater good, fragments that would die after operating the suit but these were born not of torture and horror, but if humanity, love, friendship, made of hundreds of human memories felt by a AI fragment, letting the suit be used by a force who wanted nothing more then to save and help the people the Fragments would call friends. We got to see what the Meta would've been if the AI weren't so tortured.
The Meta was the perfect personification of "Careful around the quiet ones". He gave no-nonsense, no restraint, no hesitation. 0:48 The weird reversed-sounding techy noises in Your Middle Name Is Danger is fascinating. Its a unique musical instrument whatever that is. I believe its made to represent a sort of alarm, due to Meta's habit of breaking and entering. First, there are humble and peaceful guitar notes, nothing is wrong. These noises tell us that something is wrong, then the electric instrument(idk about music so idk what instrument that is) and that thumping finally announces that the something making things wrong is here. The alarm-like noise also continues when the meta's theme establishes its presence
70 years later, he is dragged out of the ice and is given the weapons he had before his "death", joins a group of superheroes to fight against supernatural threats, and goes under the name of Captain Amer-... No, wait...
well I used After Effects to make this; it says that the effect is called an audio spectrum. It was actually an after thought to have that effect added on to this. I decided to add it because...well I mean...its pretty cool...and it kinda works on its own; I didn't have to do any kind of syncing to get it to match the songs. I figured it'd be neat to have some sort of music visualizer on screen rather than just a picture :)
I honestly prefer his Season 6 theme, it radiated pure menace and terror, which is exactly what the Meta was. He was a man who was essentially, the unstoppable force and the immovable object. He stopped at nothing to achieve his goals and practically won every encounter.
I wonder what would happen if alpha possessed the meta like he did with the reds and blues, would he take control or would there be a internal fight between him and the other ai. Possibly giving the meta exact what he wants with a full ai under his control, or giving alpha the most powerful body with all the freelancer upgrades.
Something that I just realised is that the Meta uses a time distortion unit and remember when Wyoming or Church used it it left behind clones of the original person so if the meta used it then what happened to the clone
The Meta had multiple armor enchantments which drain power heavily. It's possible he couldn't use them at full power, or they retconned the time looping part and just made it so that it simply slows down time.

You know a lot of shows, movies, games and books (probably I don't read books) try so hard to make certain characters.... "Cool" or intimidating but fails spectacularly! A good example is just about every character in the Need for Speed game. They tried so hard to make them "cool" but it just ended up as fucking cringe! There are more examples but at the moment I can't think of any. The Meta however... That is a intimidating character! The soundtrack is awesome! You can tell from how The Meta looks to how it sounds, any signs of sanity is non existent. If you get in it's way, it won't hesitate to kill you very very VERY painfully! Whenever you hear this soundtrack and see THAT thing walking into the frame, you know someone is going to die or get seriously injured. And every other character is going to lose their balls!
Honestly, the cringy Racers in Most Wanted 2005 added charm to the game. Need for Speed games are silly. Some tried to be more "deep," like undercover, but ultimately- they started out as silly racing games. The 'busted' scenes in very early NFS games look like they're straight from a parody, and that's because they were! NFS *is* a parody. Used to be.

"Trust me pal, you're not *that* guy."
There is nothing scarier than silence.
Imagine the meta didn't die and he's just lurking in the shadows just waiting to make his move
70 years later, he is dragged out of the ice and is given the weapons he had before his "death", joins a group of superheroes to fight against supernatural threats, and goes under the name of Captain Amer-... No, wait...
Just wanted to say thanks for putting all these together bro 🤟
you know whats really cool about this video is you can see the line thingy go up and down when theres sounds
what do they call that any way
well I used After Effects to make this; it says that the effect is called an audio spectrum. It was actually an after thought to have that effect added on to this. I decided to add it because...well I mean...its pretty cool...and it kinda works on its own; I didn't have to do any kind of syncing to get it to match the songs. I figured it'd be neat to have some sort of music visualizer on screen rather than just a picture :)
thx bro
cool! and thanks!
did you have to download it?
I honestly prefer his Season 6 theme, it radiated pure menace and terror, which is exactly what the Meta was. He was a man who was essentially, the unstoppable force and the immovable object. He stopped at nothing to achieve his goals and practically won every encounter.
When you find out Mark Zuckerberg is a robot named the "Meta"
all of the songs are amazing!!!!!!
When you know that your gonna Die a Brutal death, or a Epic fight depending on who you are
Nice commentary, buddy
lol thx. u too
This better be updated with Tucker in the pics, XD
Just searched this for no reason. Well, time to rematch this series for 34th time.
I wonder what would happen if alpha possessed the meta like he did with the reds and blues, would he take control or would there be a internal fight between him and the other ai. Possibly giving the meta exact what he wants with a full ai under his control, or giving alpha the most powerful body with all the freelancer upgrades.
he DID possess the meta, before Leonard got to him
" _RRRRHH_ " The Meta probablly
00:22 when ur mom says shes on her way but the house is a mess and u haven't cleaned it.
1:16 You hear footsteps on the front porch, while you STILL haven't cleaned it.
Anyone else coming back here after the new trailer?
Best villain ever. Of all time.
The Meta is my favorite villain ever. Of all time.
Chills man...
Every frickin time...
Chills
Something that I just realised is that the Meta uses a time distortion unit and remember when Wyoming or Church used it it left behind clones of the original person so if the meta used it then what happened to the clone
Wyoming and Church used it to time travel, Maine used it to simply slow time.
wait what if he was always using it and gave up because he kept on losing and didnt want to continue fighting
The Meta had multiple armor enchantments which drain power heavily. It's possible he couldn't use them at full power, or they retconned the time looping part and just made it so that it simply slows down time.
@@ianfinrir8724 the time looping part is not a retcon. Gamma simply lied.
Tmw Eta and Iota aren't mentioned at the end as being part of the Meta even though they're the first ones he takes by force-
I was listening while I had south park on in the background, so while I was listening and doing schoolwork, I just hear
OH MY GOD! THEY KILLED KENNY!
I honest to god pissed myself laughing
When you see the meta: are you F***ing kidding me???!!! RUN!!!
Emile: I’m ready! How bout you?!?
I’d kill to see Emile vs Meta
I think meta would be the one walking away from that encounter
Red Taurus Alive or barely alive? Emile is a headhunter which are incredibly advanced....
@@MasterHall117 it depends but emile is a bad ass so I would say barely alive but if it was a head on encounter I would say 7 or 8 times out of 10 he would be coming out just alive cuz of his armor and armor abilities but if it's just main without all the ai he stole I would say barely alive 9 times out of 10.
Corczar _ aight.... but that doesn’t stop Texas and Carolina
@Corczar _ Tex is a robot so she doesn't need augmentations so is Church
HE IS BACK
Nice vid man
thx bro
This man gave me my online Alias, best villain of all time
I really wish they didn't kill of the Meta, they could of done alot more with his character.
Couldn't agree more! RvB has really lost its way since season 11, to me at least :/ I don't even know what they were thinking with season 16.
I think for season 15 they had a right track to continue it into season 16 but they messed up their chance by adding time travel.
Well time travel exists now sooooooo
After this season they were going give up time travel.
I like to think he’s still alive. I mean with all other confusing shit that happened during that season I would NOT be surprised if he came back. I personally would love to see a fight between felix and the meta, or the Lotus vs Meta. like as an extra animation or something.
Halo's Terminator.
the meta is a badass
2:05 is my favorite
❤ love it !funky emotion. Great! Dream ! And exciting some shot ##
the 'of all time' in your description is a refrence to wash saying 'that was the worst throw, of all time' tell me I got you.
also this is the theme that plays when you have an A.I named after a greek letter
you def caught the reference, my dude :D
I love Red vs blue
Knight_is _noble have you watched the entire show 52 times yet?
@@culturedak_479 nope
@@culturedak_479 why?
I honestly wish they would bring him back
I'll be re-animating all of seasons 6-8, so if you're interested in seeing him again, check back in the next 50 years.
Alternative title: Red and Blues PTSD theme
He's like the boogyman of rvb
The official oh shit song of the series
The Doomslayer is The Meta after going to hell
You cant change my mind
Alt doom slayer.
And every other character is going to lose their balls!
well said :)
Used to be.
my first time playing halo but i watch redvblue first
ME: huh cool to be playing this for the first time i think i will try multiplayer. *SEES METAS HELMET AS A WEARABLE HELMET AND GETS IT* 1:00 starts to play
THE ENAMEY TEAM: how the hell did he get so good of a sudden?
Scariest mute ever.
2023 ... the birth of real AI has begun.
