      @@ajithsidhu7183 I actually plan to do a 'wrestling for self defense' course in the future, but in the meantime I have done a few shorts to help shed light on the subject. Here are the two shorts:
      ruclips.net/user/shortsiY4htGPHLFY
      ruclips.net/user/shortsK0fpQoJz49U
      I say this all the time, if I had a magic wand and could gift everyone with ONE self defense takedown it would be the snatch single (never touch a knee so works on any surface and works against any size opponent). I teach it in a few different videos, but here's the latest rendition:
      ruclips.net/video/O8ITPP0W0iE/видео.html
      Definitely need to rep this one out though, few have the talent to pick it up without a lot of reps (myself included).

    Just bought the program! Only 2 videos in and it’s definitely worth the money.
    For the people who have received a lot of value from Adams videos and you’re on the fence, get off it & hop in.
    Don’t be the person that says “All of his videos on RUclips are free. Why would I buy his course?”
    Because the 20% of Takedowns that create 80% of the results are taught in the course with great detail and in a step by step process.
    Also, the videos are organized all in one place, with no information held back.
    Therefore, you’re getting the most quality videos with the most in-depth information and all of the takedowns that you absolutely NEED to learn are in the course.
    Which makes it to where you don’t have to pick & choose through his channel (as great as it is and continue watching his videos) which videos to watch.
    Plus, the man has put tens of thousands worth of videos into his channel, so why not repay him?
    Super hyped to be a part of the ETS, Adam. 💪🏽

    I'm a new wrestler, and it is winter break rn. I want to get a lot better over break to get ahead of my competition. This program seems great and all, but because the course is tailored for BJJ, will the wrestling be watered down in a way that will negatively affect skill acquisition. Also, what specific skills used in wrestling aren't used for jiu-jitsu? Have a good new year.

      lol thank you brother. I appreciate the kind words and I absolutely love that title "EDS".
      I definitely could have split this up into two separate courses for better profit margin's, but as it were, defense is actually the second video within the course. I believe defense is the essential underpinning which makes offense accessible. As such, I couldn't leave it out. I also wanted this course to be an all inclusive, everything you need in one place, one and done product. So it's all in there.

    • @WrestlingUniversity
      @WrestlingUniversity  9 месяцев назад +1

      Great question. Have been seeing some questions about defense so spending some time on this one:
      The defensive portion is actually not just one of the most important aspects of the course, but one of the most widely appreciated.
      Defense is so important, I made it the second video of the entire course. Statistics show most people don't watch more than 10% of any online course. Knowing this, I designed ETS in way that even if you only watched the first 3 videos, it'd be worth the price of admission.
      The first video we build an effective stance for bjj and learn the most important principles that'll serve you throughout your entire grappling career (you can get that video for free actually through the link in the pinned comment), in the second video we cover the "4 Pillars of Effective Defense", and the third we dive into hand fighting/how to make contact safely.
      I've spent my life in gyms; coaches rarely, if ever, spend time on the insights I share with you in the first 3 videos. Mostly because they aren't aware of them, but sometimes because they don't prioritize them as important.
      Insane, I know, but this is one of the many reasons I think the course is so well received. Grapplers are massively underserved in the standing position-even if they have a "high level" wrestling coach.
      And to answer your Judo question, yes, we have an entire section on Foot Sweeps and I'll even do you one better-I designed an upper body throwing protocol within the "Over-Tie Series" section that allowed one of my students to throw a judo black belt during competition after learning this protocol just three days prior (the footage was going to be apart of this video promotion, but ended up making it apart of another video).
      If you don't progress in a similar fashion I'm happy to issue a full refund. It took me a lifetime to make this thing so I'm betting you will, but there's zero risk if you don't.
      -Coach Adam

I've honestly never seen anyone teach it as well as I do in the course. Watch it, if you don't agree I'm happy to issue a refund! 🙌

    Is the course suitable for someone who has close to 0 knowledge about wrestling?

    • @WrestlingUniversity
      @WrestlingUniversity  9 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely. I get emails every day from people who're thankful I start from an absolute beginners perspective in the course.
      The interesting thing is, whether you're new or experienced, you should be taught relatively the same. A good coach will consistently emphasize the basics and gradually expound on more "complex" moves.
      The course actually begins with stance work, first principles, and defense. Only once these essentials are covered do we progress into "low risk, high reward" takedowns, then to "medium risk, high reward" takedowns, and finally "high risk, high reward" takedowns.
      We progress in such a way that by the time we get to the "medium" and "high" risk takedowns, they aren't as risky. If you prioritize learning certain techniques in the standing position, you can mitigate the innate risk that comes with the riskier, yet essential, takedowns.
      This is part of the reason it took me over three years to design ETS; I had to consistently experiment with new students on what techniques to prioritize in their training for maximum progress.
      As always, happy to issue a full refund if you don't find it as impactful as I'm describing. Let me know how else I can help!
      -Coach Adam

    I went to the website but it was unclear what the price is? It just had a description and then it asked for card details - it shows "$1,499 industry pricing" crossed out - does that mean it is close to that price? That would be far too expensive for me. If what you are selling is significantly cheaper than $1,499 then I recommend that you make that clear. Otherwise people will just move on as soon as they see the $1,499 figure.
    I would like to know whether what you are offering will teach take downs that are safe to perform on concrete. When I have learned takedowns in Jiu Jitsu I am often learning ones that will be extremely bad for the knees on concrete.
    EDIT: I have not seen the price on a different link. It looks like one of the links goes to a page without the price listed and another one of the links goes to an identical page but the price is given.

    • @WrestlingUniversity
      @WrestlingUniversity  9 месяцев назад

      Hey Joe, did you watch the whole video? I state and highlight the price ($297) in the video as well as in all links. Within the links, the final price is displayed just below the industry pricing.
      Also in the video, I state that in 95% of the course curriculum you don't go down to a knee which indeed makes it well suited for self defense scenarios. This includes shots (singles, doubles, etc.) variations where you never touch a knee. Hope that helps!
