I love Carter, total wordsmiths. Deserves better than busking on his own. Brilliant.

    FANTASTIC.
Years ago some friends of mine wanted to go to see Carter USM at The Cornwall Coliseum but couldn't get there. I had a van but wasn't overly keen on Carter USM. They paid for my ticket, fuel for the van and bought me a quarter ounce of blow so I agreed to do it.
It was one of the best gigs I'd been to at that point.
Jim Bob and Fruitbat were AWESOME live. Came on to Jesus Christ Superstar from a spaceship marched to the mics and said "Evening, I'm from Camborne, he's from Redruth' (in reference to support act The Family Cat who were from Camborne and Redruth in Cornwall!) and proceeded to play a high octane set full of charm and humour with sharp, crisp musicianship and vocals. So glad I went.
The Only Living Boy In Newcross is probably my favourite Carter USM song and this version by Jim Bob is superb.

It pisses me off that not more people have seen this. It's so good it gives me goosebumps all over.

Jim bob is a lyrical genius. He has done many solo albums, if you only buy one, go for the masterpiece that is " it's a humpty dumpy thing "

I thought the same thing mate!! , I could never understand how indie music in general was never big with working class youngsters?.I grew up on wendlesworth estate in South London in a working class family with cockney roots and I was the only lad listening to Carter and shitloads of other indie bands, whilst everyone else turned their nose up at it and listened to talentless house and garage music and macaroon ridden rap stuff?.

Haha! Thanks, I guess. Sound quality is the only reason I stick to this camera. Lots of cameras with better video quality but the sound is way too good to part with this.

I can remember way back when Jim could not even play the guitar at all.
I see he hasn’t improved much since then.
