Honestly, I'm not sure. Typically, when doing something like that, I'd use an NPC instead of a villager. However, there might be a way to make a villager do it.
Using an NPC is preferred because it opens up many more custom command options. Especially if you're using a modded version of an NPC, the possibilities become virtually unlimited.
it did not work for me, when I uploaded the structure file to nbt studio, an error popped up, saying "file did not start with a {, attempted to read past the end of the stream, region doesnt contain any chunks" pls if you have any ideas as to why this does not work or potential fixes do tell me
unfortunately, I’ve never had that bug so I don’t know how to fix it, but here’s a suggestion just to try, try to create a new map, not a flat world and tried to copy it from there, if that doesn’t work, I have no clue. Great video, though I am sadly running into a serious issue. I export+alter the trades, then bring them back in via the behavior pack and place them in the world and everything is right! They have their custom trades. . . then sadly they despawn/disappear when I exit and reload the world. If you have any ideas or words of wisdom I would be forever grateful. I believed I followed everything step by step and did not alter anything but the trades and making them invulnerable. Thanks.
so I’ve also started to experience this issue as well, it seems to be a problem with the new Minecraft update where it deletes the villagers, I don’t exactly know why, after some testing it seems that the villagers are being saved as a block not as an entity so that was also funny to find out, The best way to fix it at the moment is to use a command block to just respawn them, this is how you should do it, after you get done editing the villager use the structure block to save it, not export it, then use a command block and then type in this command /structure load “name” ~~~ or you can replace ~~~ with the coordinates that you want it to respawn at, then you can just press the button to respawn it
for Xbox without using an NPC or being able to use a villager mod, The only other choice you have is to use command blocks to make a chest shop or a chest randomizer item list, as far as I know, I could be wrong about that though

there are two different ways to update it, option one, make a new pack each time just open up the file called "manifest.json" and now once you open that file you should see some texts look for the two things called "UUID" now go online in search of UUID generator v4 generate two different UUIDs replace the two inside that file, they both need to be different though, now save it and now try to re-upload it to Minecraft it should work
option two is the better option, open your Minecraft folder which you should be able to find if it's in your default location using this step (1) Press Windows key + R or win+R step (2) copy this and pasted Inside the Box "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\ LocalState\games\com.mojang" now open the folder called "behavior_packs" find the Behavior pack that you installed and just add the new stuff inside of it, now if you wanted to update for your world now just go back one page go to "minecraftWorlds" go in to behavior_packs add the new stuff inside of it as well and now you should be done

There are a few possible reasons for that. Usually, it happens if there's a misspelling or if you accidentally modified a label box you weren't supposed to. In those cases, it mostly will just kill the NPC when he spawns or he won't spawn at all. This is a common issue I've seen with many people.
I don't think so, I think the hero of the village effect always grants permission for a discount, I don't think there's a way to stop it unless you get rid of the effect by clearing the player's effects, I could be wrong though

I've made an add-on specifically to add a custom villager to have custom items before but I'm not sure if using this method you could do it, I haven't really tried it so I don't know

If you already made the items there’s a easy way to do this simply place a chest down put all the items inside a it and copy it as a MCstructural file. Then you should be able to see the items and be easily able to add them to the villager when you open it in NBT Studio
