This seems like such a simple feature for them to add to the new UI, especially since they just remade the Create New World screen! However of course (as mentioned in the video) there's a lot of work that goes into adding UI, for example it needs to be translated into every language the game supports. Hopefully they add it soon, though.

Not to mention the testing. There is some really weird things that can happen when you use some blocks in the super flat. Like a layer of furnaces on top will interpret placing a block as an interaction, but the flat world generator doesn't seem to generate the block entities, so trying to place a block without couching does nothing. Although looking at the video, chunks reloaded after they were generated seem to have their block entities, or at least the skulk sensors...

I used to make hardcore worlds that had insane mountains and stuff like that and then change it so all of the overworld oceans/lakes/rivers became lava instead and tried to survive that way and make a cool world out of it. I miss that so much. you could even change how often things like diamonds spawned and what level they spawned at so instead of having coal everywhere it was diamonds in a survival world instead of being in creative. it was novel but fun to mess with. does anyone else remember this ? also if anyone knows the last version of java this was in i wanna know so i can go back and play it again.

Im a OG bedrock player but just a couple months ago I got java and I can say that bedrock did have the super flat edit thingy but it got removed but it was really easy too use on bedrock and the single biome was never a thing for bedrock, But there was also the "Old" world type which made the world only generate a couple chunks with "invisible bedrock" around it which was like barriers but you can't pass it at all, But that also got removed.

    MY UPDATE IDEA:
    The Birds and Herbs Update
    Bro get this right
More bird variants to make every forest more lively
Which that itself could bring new items and maybe foods of some sort
Also add herbs on the ground just like grass, though probably less often, like basil or rosemary
Maybe add more foods, or more stews, where you can customize the stew with certain herbs, and having a stew with a specific herb might help heal you in some way, most likely less powerful than potions though as they'd be easier to attain
Not only this they could go add other things aswell
Maybe a new tree or even a whole new biome, maybe a biome that would fit birds quite well possibly like the jungle
    Add some more crops aswell
I suppose it is a bit dry having only two main features for a whole update but I think birds chirping would greatly increase the liveliness of the game, and I think herbs would be an expansive feature for which they could add more in the future, I really like the idea of certain foods having positive healing affects on players similar to potions, it's something done in real life often sick have chicken noodle soup, and though we probably won't have that specifically lol, we can still have many more things
But to be honest we definitely need a villager trading update to balance the game again
    Along with maybe some ores?
We waited how long for a huge cave transformation yet they couldn't just add a few ores?😭
I like this update but I really feel like some of the features are unneeded whereas the ores and trading systems would greatly benefit the game
