This seems like such a simple feature for them to add to the new UI, especially since they just remade the Create New World screen! However of course (as mentioned in the video) there's a lot of work that goes into adding UI, for example it needs to be translated into every language the game supports. Hopefully they add it soon, though.

Not to mention the testing. There is some really weird things that can happen when you use some blocks in the super flat. Like a layer of furnaces on top will interpret placing a block as an interaction, but the flat world generator doesn't seem to generate the block entities, so trying to place a block without couching does nothing. Although looking at the video, chunks reloaded after they were generated seem to have their block entities, or at least the skulk sensors...

I used to make hardcore worlds that had insane mountains and stuff like that and then change it so all of the overworld oceans/lakes/rivers became lava instead and tried to survive that way and make a cool world out of it. I miss that so much. you could even change how often things like diamonds spawned and what level they spawned at so instead of having coal everywhere it was diamonds in a survival world instead of being in creative. it was novel but fun to mess with. does anyone else remember this ? also if anyone knows the last version of java this was in i wanna know so i can go back and play it again.

Going back around 5-6 years bedrock HAD customisible superflat world's.
You could go through adding layers of blocks so you could go from very bottom to the top
    1* Bedrock - 15* stone - 3* dirt - 1* grass ect
It also had the option to generate ALL structures so it would spawn in the end portal hidden somewhere on the world as well as villages and mineshafts.
It was buggy as hell though if you didn't put enough layers in if you turned on structures as you could have the end portal structure spawn half in half out of the ground or even just floating in the air lol.
It definitely wouldn't be difficult to add it back in.

This is not a discovery. It has been in the game's code for ages. A lot of people have used NBT editors to create superflat worlds (myself included) since Better Together update, if not earlier. Still, it's pretty boring, because you can't place features such as structures and deco, and you can't assign a unique biomemap to the generator.

    MY UPDATE IDEA:
    The Birds and Herbs Update
    Bro get this right
More bird variants to make every forest more lively
Which that itself could bring new items and maybe foods of some sort
Also add herbs on the ground just like grass, though probably less often, like basil or rosemary
Maybe add more foods, or more stews, where you can customize the stew with certain herbs, and having a stew with a specific herb might help heal you in some way, most likely less powerful than potions though as they'd be easier to attain
Not only this they could go add other things aswell
Maybe a new tree or even a whole new biome, maybe a biome that would fit birds quite well possibly like the jungle
    Add some more crops aswell
I suppose it is a bit dry having only two main features for a whole update but I think birds chirping would greatly increase the liveliness of the game, and I think herbs would be an expansive feature for which they could add more in the future, I really like the idea of certain foods having positive healing affects on players similar to potions, it's something done in real life often sick have chicken noodle soup, and though we probably won't have that specifically lol, we can still have many more things
But to be honest we definitely need a villager trading update to balance the game again
    Along with maybe some ores?
We waited how long for a huge cave transformation yet they couldn't just add a few ores?😭
I like this update but I really feel like some of the features are unneeded whereas the ores and trading systems would greatly benefit the game

I can also do single biome world with NBT Editor where I add a biome in Biome Override. I even have a tutorial in my channel about it. Although the thing I wanted the most as a Minecraft builder is Large Biome in Bedrock Edition.

It's worth noting that single biome generation actually doesn't work like that in Java, It's not even half as functional. If you tried making a warped forest world in Java you would just get empty plains with nether particles and the occasional structure, no netherrack or warped trees or anything.
So, neither version really has this feature. Java had the UI to access it, but it doesn't actually work for nether or end biomes. The overworld of a lush cave world looks really cool, though.

    • @TheRedSmarty
      @TheRedSmarty Год назад +1

That is because in Java, the base stone and fluid are placed by the dimension, not the biome. Since the Nether biome features expect to generate on Netherrack, they don't show up since the Overworld's base stone is Stone.

Minecraft: Xbox One edition DID have super flat options with customisation gestures, and this can still be accessed today if you still own the original version, so technically bedrock did have super flat already, it was just never transferred into the updated version (there are two versions of Minecraft for Xbox One).

    • @zzahkaboom24-gaming

That edition was not the bedrock edition, the edition youre talking about is the legacy edition made by 4J that included the Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. After the Legacy Edition came the Bedrock Edition that we know today that basically "removed" these things. (Basically hid them, cuz they seem to still work)

    • @jimmy-j6465

@@zzahkaboom24-gaming I know but in regards to how the video was phrased, it was being made out that consoles have never had the super flat option.
