thank you for making this series. I bought the fabreeko kit 3 months ago but I've been dragging my feet. I'm a visual learner so this build series and the new build docs will help tons.
Great info, thank you. I just bought a Sovol SV05. I got it for a few reasons. First, needed another printer, next, it has auto bed leveling, a 32 bit board (other one is 8 bit bed slinger, no frills) and direct drive extrusion. So far, so good. The only downside is at this point I’m fairly convinced the heated bed is, way out of plane. So, I’ll probably be upgrading that next. Any recommendations would be welcome here as I’’m thinking a much thicker, and obviously more true, surface. After that, a Creality sonic pad so I can move to Klipper without too much mucking around. I’d use a pi and load Klipper/Mainsail but? Yeah, can’t find any, shortage? That’s not sticking with me, if there’s that level of shortage how come there’s a myriad of competition coming out of the woodwork and many other things like the Sonic pad? Anyway, derailed. From everything I’ve seen so far, the SV05 is a great candidate for the Mercury One build. Would you take a look and give your opinion? Anyway, thanks, great stuff.
@Jack Williams I'm currently going this route with my Mercury One.1 build. I saw someone on the ZeroG Mercury 1.1 discord change put in a serial request. The whole Pi shortage is kind of irritating at this point. I will probably try to use an old 3b or use just a regular PC and run several instances on my linux box that I have next to my 3d printers. I've seen AuraTech and other youtuber's run either one or several instances of klipper on a regular computer as a stopgap measure to replace the pi (It makes sense and provides greater flexibility). You may want to look into OrangePi or another alternative. Some of these have turned out to be hit and miss. I think TH3D mentioned a pi replacement in one of his streams. Maybe @Edge OF 3D can provide an idea for another option.
any plans to help with settings in klipper? i keep looking on the website but i see 0 documents on the changes you need to make in klipper to get this running
Apologies if this has been asked or is addressed in the video, but will I be able to use this playlist if I want to upgrade my Ender 5 Plus to the Mercury One.1, or are they not compatible? My biggest concern is the software changes, if there are any.
The "ladders" for positioning the gantry at 150mm to tension the belts no longer work with the current X joints. I will add the correct one's to my Google drive and post links in the video this weekend.
I have an Ender 5 Plus with an Exoslide gantry, a MicroSwiss DD hotend, and TH3D's main board and their EZABL Pro. Is this compatible with with my existing hardware?? I wouldn't mind it if I had to take the Exoslide off my printer to achieve the CoreXY setup, but I'd like to maintain the TH3D hardware and the MicroSwiss DD hotend.
Officially, only EVA 2.4.2 tool heads are supported on the Mercury One.1. However, you could design anything you want as far as hot-ends go as long as you maintain the belt path.

That’s going to be an awesome printer. So much easier with a complete kit that only has premium components! Those skirts are looking great too! 👍🏻

I no longer have any of these Mercury One machines; I gave them away at MRRF last year so I cannot even pull a config file from one to post.
Dude thanks for this, need the info since it's not on line yet

Is this printer working ok?
Both of my Mercury One printers run 24/7 so I would say they are working more than ok; they are earning their keep.
First!
