Very great video sir. I bought one, but have a grip. My box, was plain, and no special edition box. Like you said, I’m not going to wear a box, but you would think, if their going to make 8000 pieces, just common sense to make 8000 special boxes. My reasoning is, if I sell it, it shows the next person, it was a limited edition piece. Especially if your paying their price that their capitalization on it. Sorry for the long rant, but Seiko should do the same for all their customers, if they’re paying the price on it, cheers, Matt
I wear Casio watches for driving and night vision as you really can see them. I only rarely wear any of my Seiko watches but when I do its only ever in the daytime.
Thanks! Really happy with the watch. I get what you mean about the shiny bezel but I think it adds a bit of pop to the watch even if the lume already does that. A matte bezel would look cool, though.
For the price, watch companies really need to do something with the straps. Something that will not collect a bunch of lint, dust, etc. no more rubber.
Curious, what number is your watch iut 8-thousand units produced?. Wish you had included a night lume shot. Was the QC for the strap included something that at the price seems appropriate? Or are you planning on switching it out?
I find the strap to be very comfortable, very soft on the skin. The quality isn’t an issue, but I’d like to order a fitted rubber strap for it just because it looks better IMO. I’ll make sure to include a lume shot in my follow up video.
I checked the alignment after your comment and honestly it’s hard to tell because it depends on the angle you’re looking at. It’s all aligned. Maybe the camera angle makes it look off?
I owned this model for a few months and must be honest wasn’t impressed.I was only getting around 36 hours of power reserve and accuracy was all over the place.I had it balanced and still ran about 40 seconds fast per day.Alignment was great on mine though.That silicone strap was an absolute dust collector.
Bought one and really happy with it. Upgrading the strap as I’m not a fan of silicone straps, otherwise I love it !

You're also getting a ceramic bezel insert. But I agree, wish they made a blacked out metal band
I picked one up on eBay second had for half price of new.
People are now moving them on.
That looks great. The only thing I have looking at it is that the bezel seems too shiny to really be a blacked out watch.

99% of five watches will never get used to dive with.

Chapter ring is off. But that’s per usual for seiko. Otherwise it’s a nice watch

That’s too bad. True about the strap being a dust magnet. It’s a shame because it’s quite comfortable.
I'd rather buy a Proxima samurai for like half the money. Better fit and finish. More options.
I've always love the Samurai, but it is too big for me at 44mm.
