Hi SO- hoping you see this..
maybe you could show how one would make a casting and mold incorporating a piece of metal tubing embedded through it.
Or ending up with a foam casting with a metal tube going through .
That may be hard to picture, but like a foam hand holding a 1” diameter x 3’ length metal tube.
Is there a way to make a foam or silicone casting that could incorporate another material like metal and become “part of” the casting?
I hope that makes sense 🥴
Thanks for all your interesting videos! New sub, fascinating,
A painter for years and I’m going to try some of this mold making!😃

About time we get some Milo time. But is there a food safe version of the KX Flex for use in making pet toys?

There is not a food safe version of KX-Flex at this point.

Hi, your videos are very helpful, thanks for that. I want to learn something. I will be working with model dough and I want to buy this material. What substance should I use to remove the mold first?

Can this be done with any of the flex foam it foams? Thinking about wearable TMNT body parts cast in VytaFlex and then padded out with flex foam maybe 6 or 7, but avoiding it curing shut but also not too flimsy when moving around

    I have a question Milo,
I usually degas polyurethane resin (smooth-cast 305) just before I put the molds into my pressure pot. I do this because of the size of the parts (32 mm miniatures) to make sure all the tiny bubbles rise up quickly. my molds have a big cavity on the top just to avoid the resin overflow during the degassing process.
I have tried other resins and I have seen that the bubbles just blow up once they reach the top cavity with no-chance for the resin to overflow at all (just like lava, from a volcano).
Do you know why it happens? (Is it due to the density or viscosity?)
Is there some trick to minimize this effect? I have heard spraying a touch of alcohol on the top superficial layer could work, also adding some marble powder (I tried this and I changed it just a little bit, but no much)
    Thank you for this videos!
