      You bet! Teaser rigs have been around for ages...this is just another application. We'll do some flies for teasers in another video down the line.

    so good to see someone who knows fishing mate congrats with your channel looking forward to your next one have used your rigs with chaser many years ago its a great trick to get fish Love to see some big baits ideas or tricks you may have I fish in Australia for big Kings Snapper Tuna Queenies GT well stay safe and tight lines mate

    Hey Kit, very interesting setup!! Especially since I totally got skunked today in Abu Dhabi. I’d love it if you could do some videos of how you fish from the shore with jigs and soft bait. I must’ve changed jigs and lures 40times today and not a single bite. Really frustrating!!

    Great tip! You can also tie the jig to the bottom of a sabiki right.

      Wouldn't do that - the lines used in sabikis are not designed to hold bigger fish, but if you are fishing for smaller fish and you can cast the sabiki and jig combo, aure, why not :)

      I actually did this for mackerel. Usually bigger ones prefer jig and smaller ones are on for sabiki. But sometimes bigger ones that wasn’t fast enough also bite sabiki. Thats very cool combination

      This is a clouser I tied. You can buy or make flies easy...doesnt have to be fancy. Crazy charlie and Clouser minnows are easy to tie.

      thats a clouser minnow on the video, but you can just any streamer fly.

    Can this technique be adapted to bottom feeders like groupers? They are usually found in 50m waters here, so I'm wondering if I can use your rig set up and cast 60g jig with a Teed off squirt?

      I've caught groupers with this before, but they weren't that big. The big ones usually strike the jig itself. I dont really use this rig unless the fishing was tough, it usually produces when the bites are few and far in between.

      @@jbl2270 it should work on 30-60g jigs, but you also have to change the size of the teaser.

    Can you still take off that 20g jig and attach 10g micro with the same hook size and still catch fish? Or do you have to switch hook size to match 10gram?

      you can use a 10 on this, the thing is, it also depends on the size of your fly.

      @@TheFishingKit what hook size is this? Isn’t the bigger the hook, it will the action of the jig? Help please because I just bought 6 jigs of Jigpara 10g micro standard but can’t find any hook to fit them. Also need to replace the tremble hook too, what hook size is that?

      not sure what the size of the hooks are, as ours come rigged already, when I need to change the hooks, I change them to jf 42 or jf 41size 10/11/12 for assist hooks. for trebles, take the jigs to your tackle shop and compare so its accurate. I thought you were asking about the fly hook not the jigs, your questions are kind of vague at times, so please be very specific coz I dont want to confuse you.

      A few have... I use this a lot, usually when it's kinda slow. It won't catch you giants, since the jig is always what catches the bigger fish.

    Hey mate how you think of a Shimano Anarchy 6-12kg with a Shimano sustain? Gonna put some 30lb braid and is that a good combo for jigging

    Fujairah angler here!! I accidentally done this set up! for me its 1 jig the 2 sabiki fly on t knots. usually it will catch snapper then followed by wither trevally or mackerel. for me its the m.e.t.a. set up.

      on a kayak in shallow water, this rig works; but in deeper water, i suggest you use a tenbin instead.

      @@miamiwax5504 good question. short answer yes. shapes dictate action of course, but certain jigs flutter more than others. slow current conditions are best tackled with wider jigs, while slim jigs are good for swifter currents, at the same weights.

      no swivel up top, its straight leader up to an FG or PR knot.

      Snagging depends on quite a lot of factors, if you snag a lot, you might want to use a lighter jig.

    Micro Jigs have been around for awhile but people in California seem to have just discovered them. The tackle shops can't keep them in stock. Some places have waiting lists. Maybe do some shore fishing tutorials!!

      If you are using the right size to give the jig the action, sure, you can use any clip you want, just as long as they are reliable, TA clips included.

      @@Skolmann depends on the snap, and your application, Andrew. If you use a small snap on heavy line, it will open for sure. If you use a TA clip, which is heavier than needed in light applications, then your jig wont move right, your choice. :)

      @@TheFishingKit Jigs action is unimpeded by the use of a TA clip. I even use TA clips with all sorts of different style plugs, used in various techniques.

      @Andrew Sokol what size lures are you using? We are talking about 10g - 20g jigs here, thin leaders and thin lines - it will affect it. What I'm discussing here might not be something available to you guys as of yet. I know shore slow jigging and slow jigging in general isn't too wide spread in the US, it's a different system. PE lines are very different compared to US braid thicknesses. End of the day, if you believe it works for you, then go ahead and keep on using it. :) My experience on these types of clips though, is that they are great for casting lures but not for slow jigs.

      you can use a shorter leader for the fly for less tangles
