Agreed. However many clinicians and particularly women seem to prefer this approach in affect. It’s considered “professional” but really it’s a relational issue. On the other hand it certainly can prevent any confusion when it comes to transference if conducting counseling sessions. But ultimately it’s prohibitive to disclosure and vulnerability
I think I had a template that I used as a guide. It had the main areas I wanted to explore such as family history, relationships, health history, financial, etc. The actual questions where more organic depending on the person and what they say. However, if you’re just starting out, I think having a list of questions under each category could be helpful. I hope this helps and makes sense!
Wow.. omg. I can't wait to be as good as you. When conducting these bio assessments. Wow amazing
this has to be a role play, she is freezing cold in this interview

How do we know there was permission from the client to publicly share this assessment?
Hi, Lindley! This assessment was part of my MSW training program and the client is a classmate.
@@cortneymast4013 Still actually requires a consent form, FYI. Even if you don't post it, you should have it on file to protect yourself.
@@prlsB4swne thank you! We signed consent forms as part of the assignment as well. None of the client information in this video is real.
she is very cold and not welcoming in her body language and tone of voice
It looks like the clinician is in bed... very unprofessional in my opinion.
