Thanks buddy :) I try to keep it simple, by the time someone owns a CNC machine or a sawstop, they aren't looking for too much guidance, I'm here for the beginners/hobbiers :)
I did on the planter box, which was very controversial. Mainly based on supply/demand. Not to mentioned 20% of my viewers are outside of the US. My suggestion is cost of material times two. But you should charge what you think they will sell for. Most of the projects I build are $30-$50 selling price. Check your local facebook marketplace and factor in the amount of time it takes you to build them. Hope that helps! :)
One other quick thought that I’m going to try personally. There’s likely enough scrap material (if not I’m sure we all have an off cut somewhere) to jigsaw/scroll-saw/bandsaw a star ⭐️ Forstner drill a 5/8 hole in the bottom of the star and use that as your top “stop block” for the tree. I’ll let you know if it works.
@@WhosTheVoss ha ha nothing ground breaking from me so can’t take the credit for that one. Fairly standard practice but figured I’d share it anyway just in case. The more you know 👍
You can prevent blowout on your wood pieces by putting a sacrificial board under your last piece or using painters tape. You might still get a little bit, but it won't be as bad.
Great timing! Just about to start batching out various tree designs today. Already have a spiral design or two in mind but love your ideas also. Nice work dude 👍
Sweet! These were a cheap cedar picket, but Ive seen some super nice walnut ones. My wife wants some shorter 8" tall ones for inside the house so I might make those out of oak or something :)
Your Pinterest link doesn't work. Between you, Peech and the Viking Woodworker, I have more projects to sell at craft shows than I'll EVER finish. You guys will make my retirement (some day) worthwile!

Im making stars on Thursday! Lolol, even if you ditched the 3" alltogether you might just have enough material
@@WhosTheVoss excited to see the stars you come up with. I’m looking to add some new designs to my catalogue. Appreciate you brother 🙏
Its a nesting set, posts tomorrow :)
Use a sacrificial base under your workpiece to minimize the blow out when using the forstner bit on the drill press.
Oooo, great idea! Never thought to do that with the drill press! Thanks Alex :)
