Always disconnect the negative (earth) terminal first, before you go anywhere near the positive! And reconnect the earth last. If the earth is still connected while you're working on the positive terminal, you risk causing a short circuit, frying your car's electronics, and potentially starting a fire.
I thought you should remove the negative terminal first before the positive one when removing the battery then when you replace it, you should be connecting the positive one first. This seems incorrect.

mine has nothing to secure the battery in its place. the camera angle showed nothing.
