    What if my toilet hole is bigger than the shown here. Is there an adapter?

    • @FluidmasterInc
      @FluidmasterInc  2 года назад

      The kit you have is for a 2 inch toilet flushing system. If the size of your toilet is larger you will need a larger flush valve. The solution here may be a 3 inch Everything Kit. For help selecting the correct kit for your toilet contact us vis chat or email Fluidmaster.com/support or call 1-800-631-2011 and speak with a Technical Services Rep.

    Can’t get the screw and nut bolt loose that connects tank to the toilet bowl. Tried using locking pliers and socket wrench with no luck. The screw head inside the bowl keeps sliding through the plier making the screw continuously turn. Any tips or suggestions?

    • @FluidmasterInc
      @FluidmasterInc  3 года назад +2

      Try this tip as it may work for your issue, using a hacksaw cut the bolt. If the tank has a little space between the bowl and tank slide the hacksaw in between and cut the bolt, snapping it in half.

      I had the same thing happen, first two came off easy as pie but I had to soak the third in WD40 and wail about 20 minutes to get the last one off.

    I was advised to buy the 400AH for my 1.6gpf toilet; how does that differ from the 400H PerforMAX, or the valve in this 400ARHRK PerforMAX kit?

    • @FluidmasterInc
      @FluidmasterInc  Год назад +1

      The 400AH is the original High Performance Fill Valve that could adjust from 10 to 15 inches tall.. The new 400H is the upgraded version of that valve and adjusts from 9 to 14 inches tall. The 400H valve comes with a noise restrictor and not a water restrictor. The main difference here is that instead of slowing down the fill time we reduce the noise by half or approximately 35 decibels and keep the fill time fast. Another difference is the 400H comes with the easy to turn refill bowl knob that allows you to control the water going into the toilet bowl. The 400AH model is only equipped with a roller clamp to reduce water low to the toilet bowl. Please contact Fluidmaster’s Technical Service Department for any questions. We are available M-F from 5:30 AM - 5:00 PM PST. You can also call us at 800-631-2011 or email us at techsupport@fluidmaster.com.

      I'm having the same issue, anyone know why?

    • @rsumlife
      @rsumlife 4 года назад +2

      Your toilet might be Gerber or Crane or Koshler model. You need to use a different gasket that is compatible with the model. Check Keeney rubber gasket with correct match. That Keeney gasket would fit only upto the white screw under the tank and Tank would be little wobbly as the gasket is little taller but it's expected. If the fix works just subscribe to my channel 😁

      @@rsumlife yeah, the instructions on the box suggest I buy a different gasket and I did, but I initially used the pink one provided in the kit. Used the other gasket works like a charm.

    IT SUCKS! flush valve doesn't fit into ceramic bowl hole! Tell me what size I need, please! the hole in the tank is 2 inches.
    Kit states: fits old toilets and new toilets. Not easy to install at all. I've replaced a few before but now they're not available anymore.
    the china problem I guess...This is supposed to be 2" but it is 2 1/2 inches.

    • @FluidmasterInc
      @FluidmasterInc  2 года назад +1

      A toilet using a strict 2 inch hole cannot support a standard flush valve because your toilet already has an overflow chamber or pipe built into the tank wall of your toilet. Fluidmaster does make a 555CRP8 which is a stick on flapper that will adhere directly to the porcelain and uses a chain to connect the flapper to the tank lever and may be an easier solution. For more help with your toilet contact Fluidmaster at fluidmaster.com/support to email or chat live with an agent or call toll free 800-631-2011 Monday thru Friday from 5:30 am to 5:00 pm PST.
