may need to get this. I liked the other SteamWorld games. My fave is still the first one. It's pretty great to see a once lowly 3DS eshop game becoming a full-fledged franchise with many entries and different genres.
There were also dsiware
@DonutTPOTer I thought it was...but wasn't sure. Dsiware was so long ago
The first game was their tower defense game on DSI.
wish they'd make a new Steamworld Heist. definitely my favorite from the devs.
Just announced it.
@@jaredf6205 oh shit!! good lookin out. thanks for letting me know. i prob wouldn’t have seen it on my own for a while.
Another great video. Been watching yall for so, so many years and just wanted to give a quick thanks for all the entertainment over the years. Tyty ❤
Who are you thinking? Video game reviews aren't meant to be entertainment.
um your wrong, i'd rathe hear or read entertaining game remivews over boring dull written ones that you end up getting as common practice aanyday.@@reev9759
@@reev9759 This sounds like a bot reply. Although they're usually porn traps, some youtube channels do it since they want to gather a larger audience.
This sounds like a perfect game for me if I didn't have a full time job lol
I quite enjoyed Dig 1 and loved Dig 2, but none of the other Steamworld games have really appealed to me, which is kind of a shame. I can tell they're made with passion and love, and absolutely respect that the devs don't stick to a single genre.
Appealed to you meaning you haven’t tried them? Cuz I hate card games and loved quest. Don’t particularly like turn based games and love heist. They always knock it out of the park imo, give it a chance!
Have you ever tried Heist? I was on the same boat as you, but damn, Heist os awesome! I think you should try it
There was (is?) a demo on Steam/PC a while back and I just loved it!
I can't wait!! It's already pre loaded on my Series S.. it's dropping into game pass day one
Maxis's Simcity + Bullfrog's Dungeon keeper.
No news on a physical? Also how long was your first play-through?
About how long is a playthrough? Can I do it in a sitting?
Really looking forward to this game
Helloooo there lovely people
😂
It’s Alex from Nintendo Life here! Now enough waffling, and let’s get right into thiiiings
Lots of waffling here
proof your are a aristobot, otherwise your comment may be deleted.
Sometimes I waffle
Thank you for the review.
Not really my genre, but I love the Steam World universe. I am torn.
Yeah same. I don't like this genre, but I love what they do with their games. Damn it... :)
It's right up my alley. However, I'm worried I play like 5 to 10 hours and it's done.
Was curious of the switch version in particular. Just when the game was revealed for pc, im looking at it wondering how it would run on the aging switch. It looked a little too advanced for the system
I really love SteamWorld Dig 1 and 2, and I've tried some other games (SteamWorld Heist and SteamWorld Quest), but nothing really connects like the platformers for me. I hope the game does well and I'm glad that things are going well in the 'SteamWorld Universe', but I think I'll pass on this one and wait for the next platformer. :)
Beside of dig 2 (which I owne on 3ds and switch) I played and finished all steamworld games which are available on switch. Sadly Build falls a little bit flat. I like it, but I expected more "meat". I'm on my second run and I'm curious if I will attempt another runs. After the first run it is a nice second screen game while watching something else.
I've heard that the GOG release has a eula that excuses the use of DRM and spyware. Though that may only be an issue with the GOG release, as I'm not sure about other versions of this game. Could be a PC issue, but I would still be cautious going into this game.
I like it , waiting on the discount
I know its gonna be based off personal preference but what is everyones favorite steamworld game? I didnt know they were on the dsi
Steamworld Dig 2 is my favorite from the series. Great game with a great soundtrack by El Huervo & Pelle Cahndlerby that made the game even more enjoyable to me.
Heist by miles. Genuinely one of the best strategy games around.
I got it today o switch. We need to push the developer to get the DLC on switch
It's rare to see SimCity styled games these days
Depends on the channel. Still see them popping up now and again
I sae this just came out on gamepass so I'm definitely going to give it ago
Hellllllo there, lovely people
Alex writes reviews? 🤔
0:37 this is just an irresponsible statement. Two point campus has horrible stability issues on switch.
JUNIOR BIRDMAN!
On game pass pass for free
Aristobots! Aristobots! Aristobots! 🤖🤖🤖
I was half expecting that the ‘real’ game only starts once you lift off. Oh well, someone will have to reskin Ixion…
I’ve enjoyed every game in the SteamWorld series… but I’m not sure about this game.
Anno: Steamworld
0:20 when outer wilds theme kicks in
Nothing like bits and bobs…lol
Nice to see your review come out at the same time as ours! 😊 The game performed pretty well on PS5, if you have the option I'd probably recommend playing on that.
I haven't played any version, but I'd imagine that the PC version would actually be the best. This just looks like a PC game on console.
50% of current comments here say it's meh. Waiting for more opinions, reviews and thoughts.
@@sparkypack you can check out Level With Us's review if you want. They said it's a good game but it's not for everyone.
@@CitrusArchitect thanks!
Please start a video eating waffles and then finish them and say that's more than enough waffling
mhhhh 🤤
*squinting suspiciously*
Is he trying to sound like Yhatzee?
Game pass day one!!
these are talented developers but sadly they never go the extra mile to make their games truly special. they're always very short on replayability and depth. the best ones are both Dig games which are excellent, simply because the gameplay couldn't be any better. but they still lack the little extras that make a game last. all other entries so far have been fun but they're too expensive for what they offer, in my opinion.
Played the demo on PC and it was pretty meh.
I'm checking Steam and there is no demo.
This looks bland af. Even the older Steamworld games that I didn't enjoy looked and ran well and were made with heart. This looks like they really couldn't be arsed.
If it's worse than "The Colonists" I'm not getting it. Unfortunately there is no demo on Steam.
@@sparkypack haha, it definately has that same sort of bland look to the graphics. Steamworld games generally have a bunch of charm but I really don't know if this will.
You could always try a pegleg demo.
