I had planned to ride the hill that features in this video anyway, riding two of my favourite trails. The night before however, I noticed that there was another trail that I didn't notice before.
I thought that it would make for a cool video, to ride all three and see what each one has to offer. Turns out, they are all very different to each other, making for a great day on the bike.

It says it in the title! I'm going to the Pyrenees again in May and these videos are reminding me why I keep going back. Thanks!
Fantastic! Hope my future videos give you some more ideas of where to ride👍
Real balls out riding there Andy. Some of those sections looked incredibly steep and lines tight. Looks like both you and the bike took a battering. Held up really well. Excellent video. Thanks.
The bike deals with it all better than I do, it doesn’t ever need a day off 😜
Great riding!
As a long long time Öhlins user, i can not stretch how important it is to do regular lower leg services! The book says 50hrs but in reality you need to do them every 20-25hrs, takes only 20min once you get the hang of it, but you will allways ride with suspension that feels brand new. You loose the really nice slow speed dampening but still got good highspeed dampening, so when the forks quiet down with the pschy pschy sounds its time to think about a quick oil and foam ring change!
Best of luck and looking forward to more spain videos💪🏻
I gonna say it again, proper mountain biking bro 💪🏾😎
You know it 👍
Looks stunning fantastic trails and no one else there!! Looks like you living the dream . Great stuff
So quiet here at the moment, I quite like it tbh 👌
I do believe you're living the dream Andrew . The free shuttle being the cream on top . Very entertaining video
Absolutely👌
Living the dream dude - keep the vids coming.🤘🤘
Thanks dude
Looks amazing place to go riding, so lucky, keep the videos coming 👍
Thanks, will do!
Beautiful last few rides. Really love the footage looking from behind you down the hill. You need to use them more they are so cinematic.
That shot worked exceptionally well this time. It’s always difficult to know how to place the drone, as it doesn’t have a screen to show what it sees.
Great video Andrew and great youve got your daughter Alex shuttling you around😊
She’s definitely not my daughter. She’s older than me for a start and I’d be in a lot of trouble if she was😂
@@McTrailRider Sorry Andy I was pulling your leg haha😁🤣🤣🤣
@@rogereheadbyrne4790 she does look a lot more youthful than I do to be fair 😢😂
Thanks Andrew..cool drone shots from above and behind..and I see you got the teleportation option with the Apple Watch OMFG ultra , I thought about it , but I know I would not use it responsibly . You're flying too , eh? I love the "OH Fck " moments , quite a place ..
I paid through the nose for that watch, so I’m going to use the teleportation button as much as I can 😜
Those oh fck moments are what makes for a good ride👌
Thanks Andrew. I appreciate your time @@McTrailRider
Stellar trails and some amazing drone footage. Definitely seeing the family resemblance to my California foothills. Thanks for the McVenture. Cheers
I’m quite happy with those shots tbh 😍
😉 Great stuff 🚴 enjoyed the video buddy 😎👌👌
Cheers Taffy 👍
Those trails look amazing. Great video.
Thanks! 👍
Great video. Trails look amazing.
Thanks! 👍
Wow! Great riding on beautiful trails!
Thanks Mark 👍
Great footage
Thank you kindly
Amazing scenery, the heaven of MTB
Pretty much 👌
Full on ,cool trails ,Excellent up lift services. 👍
Best uplift service I’ve used so far 👍
sweet mega vid action
Thanks
Did the first 2 with Basque and have great memories of them. 3rd trail looked great too. Will have to get back out one day. I can confirm that the river under that bridge is chilly to swim in, even in September!
The first two are the better trails imo, but the third is absolutely worth a go.
I bet that river is always pretty cold. Snow melt predominantly I suspect.
Absolutely awesome Andrew. That singletrack looks rapid. 🔥
Some excellent single track right there 👌
That was superb bro . Mega trails them bro . Nice ridin too bikes running sweet eh
I always forget just how fast the Claymore goes tbh. I was reminded on run 2 for sure!
The drone footage is as good as those trails👊
Glad you think so 👍
Drone shots looks good
Thanks! I’m pleased with how they came out.
Awesome, Andrew. How fast wasthat 2nd trail!!! Great footage and riding as always.
Yeah, that second trail had huge potential for speed. I could theoretically have went even faster, but I was only brave enough for the speed I hit in the video 🙈
Outstanding Andrew 🤘 (PS. What rotors and pads have you paired with your code rsc's ? - i'm using HS2 rotors and the sintered steel backed pads. Awesome but can still be little noisey when they are damp).
So, I have kept the Hope e-bike 2.3mm thick rotors and I’m running Galfer Pro pads (green) on the front.
The green pads do a lot to quieten things 👍
Well done Alix mountain biking would be amazing if we all had one of you 😂Andrew is lucky to have a woman who’s into the same hobby’s or willing to put up with it at least 😂not many women driving abroad never mind the big bus for uplifts 👍
Alix says thank you👍
I am very lucky indeed!
Here way here way here fxkin go 😂😂❤️🏴
It annoys Alix immensely that I didn’t actually swear for that, it doesn’t sound right 😜
@@McTrailRider out of respect for the viewers obvs sometimes you just have to say it 😂❤️from home 🏴
Great footage again! That trails look magic! Where did you base yourself for these trails & are they on trail forks?
Based ourselves in Ainsa for most all of our escapades so far.
The rails are all on TrailForks, ZTrails app and on my Strava, linked in the description.
@@McTrailRider thanks appreciated, best MtB RUclipsr IMHO 🏴
@@scotlandmyhome7484 that means a lot, thank you 😊
There's a slight joke among my friends that your videos are mountain biking asmr because your footage is so good quality
Best joke I’ve ever heard 😜 I’ll take that mate 👍
@@McTrailRiderJust a quick question, what are you using to record your audio, is it just the built in mic on the camera or an external one?
@@allweathermtb normally just straight from the camera, with wind covers on the mics and wind reduction mode off.
In this video I used a separate recorder. I prefer my usual setup though.
Awesome I’d already seen your strava on these and figured shuttle. Did it snow?
Shuttle all the way! Too much for me to pedal in one day.
It did snow a little, but no where near what was forecast.
Some of those line choices up on the ridge line looked indistinct as hell in the POV, but thankfully a bit less marginal from the drone shots 😮 Assume you're using a tyre insert on the rear, at least, to cope with that chunk...?
Not the clearest kind at the top for sure. I think plenty of people have went the wrong way, and then that becomes the line in places.
I’ve got dh casings on the tyres, but no inserts.
You do ride in some beautiful places Andrew I'm trying to change my dropper seat post but its stuck on something I've tried pushing the cable through but when I try to pull on the seat post it wants to pull back any ideas 🙏🏽
Hmm, most bikes have an awkward tight turn for the cable as it enters the seat tube. Without knowing, I would say that is snagging on that turn.
There’s rarely an easy option I’m afraid.
@@McTrailRider thank Mc
I'm surprised how dry it is even in January. How's the temperature for living in the van?
It’s a nice wee micro climate here, doesn’t rain much at all.
Temps overnight are not great though, minus most nights -5 being the worst so far.
Last couple of nights have been above 0 and it’s to be warmer for the next week.
@@McTrailRider what sort of heater do you have in the van? It takes a bit of heating a sprinter, we have a gas heater but a diesel heater might have been better
@@dalestrails6824 well, the van came with and Eberspacher diesel heater fitted, but I missed my booking to get it up and running due to unforeseen circumstances 🤦🏼♂️
Been heating of the gas hob and a portable gas cooker👌😂
@@McTrailRider ooh sounds like lots of layers required then 🥶
what camera do you use?
The DJI Action 4 primarily. My older videos, before August, were all shot on GoPro though.
@@McTrailRider thanks 👍 great vid btw
