      Many thanks! I tried to go with a country/guitar mellow soundtrack instead of a crazy rock anthem to convey the calm and tranquil mood.
      :-) best wishes, Mike

    Hey Mike, great episode as usual. I especially enjoyed seeing the BSA Spitfire MKlll Speciale as it brought back memories of my 1966 Spitfire MKll Speciale. Purchased new for about $1200.00 ! I n 1966, it came from the factory with GP carburators and and ran like a scalded dog! IN 1967 and 68 they no longer came with GP carbs as getting the GP's to idle was a lesson in futility.Brit bikes will always take me back to my youth and BSA, Triumph, Norton, Matchless and Ariel remain as a vivid memory. Good on ya Mike👍

      Many thanks for your great note, I really appreciate it. Yes, that Spitfire was awesome. I just love that pink combination and the spitfire name is so evocative. They did such a great job with the A65 models. Glad you enjoyed the video. Best wishes, Mike.

    I talked to a buddy on the phone yesterday, he had gotten back from the rally a few days ago. Looks like it was a nice rally, excellent venue. I live in Quincy, remember and visited the rally here. I had a Harley Deuce then, now have a Triumph and a Guzzi.

    Breathtaking scenery Mike! This is a wonderful site to hold a rally.All the great old Brit bikes to salivate over! It revived old memories when you stopped to peer into the gas tank. Many people have forgotten how it was riding about with no fuel gauges! Always had to be vigilant or else.😁😁

    Your music-choice was perfect for the drive Mike . May sound-odd , but the huge, wide-open country-side reminded me of traveling through Africa some years-back . Coming from a relatively-small Island-Nation (a bit like England ! ) I didn't appreciate the sheer-scale of large-continents like Africa or The Americas until I experienced-it . Winthrop does look like a 'Cowboy-town' from the past , beautiful setting . Dave NZ

    • @TheMightyGarage
      @TheMightyGarage  Год назад

      Hi Dave, I hope all is well. Yes, it amazes me just how big this country is with massive wide open spaces where no one lives. It’s just incredible. Thank you very much for your kind note about the video. I’ve got another for videos on the rally during the next few weeks. It’s taking some time to edit them, but I hope that they will get progressively better :-) best wishes, Mike.

    I really enjoyed this video, Mike. Very much looking forward to part 2, and part 3 if there happens to be one. I really think you should invest in a small, enclosed trailer, or as one of the previous comments mentioned a large van. Thanks for posting.

    • @TheMightyGarage
      @TheMightyGarage  Год назад

      Hi Rod, that is a terrific idea, thank you. Yes, I think that would be a really good idea to have some thing that’s enclosed and not have to worry too much about the bikes being exposed to the weather and also better from a security standpoint. I’ll have to think about that for sure. Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of room around the house, so might need to find a friend who has some spare land :-) see you soon!
