Many thanks! Yes, it was so good to see so many different colors at the rally. Yep, my bike is "fireflake golden bronze" or simply metallic orange 😉. It's a heavy metalflake paint and there were just a few at the rally. Would have liked to have seen the purple and green bikes but maybe next time. Cheers, Mike
Great showing! What fun. I had 3 Commandos in the 70s before I went over to my Ducati. Back then I considered the paradigm to be the 72 Commando with a front disc brake. When the 850 came along we considered it detuned. We’re we mistaken? I just don’t see these late 750s that often in the Norton gatherings.
Another simply brilliant episode. Honestly, the sound, there's no better bike imho. Some come real close - love Guzzi's. And Harley's are classic too but these things sound like detonation. Sticks of dynamite when they go off. And they are distinctive again imho from every other parallel twin. And all temendously handsome, hairy chested these are. I have to share a huge fondness for the California Commando. My heavens they all are simply stunning. Thank you for a small slice of heaven on this planet. :-)
When you said Mike, we now have a line up of 4 old Commandos I thought for a split second you meant the old timers sitting in there deck chairs !! Only joshing with you boys lol 😂 I’m an old timer too. Once again “ Fantastic “ . Ray🇬🇧
I always have fond memories of fixing my 441 after San Fran ride at the Sandy bandit's with respect to Cliff and his daughter who let me wrench the clutch outside and made sure I left for Canada! LOL! I see by watching your vids the culture is still very strong there. He had some great price in gold BSA's
That's me set up for the day .. 😉 .. 😂 second cup of tea & bike to enjoy. Some outstanding examples & a real credit to all the guys keeping these fine machines running .. 👍 Thanks for including us 'armchair' riders Mike .. 😅atvb t .. .. 🏍
Great video, again, Mike. So many fantastic bikes. I find it troubling that there was only one younger person in the video ..... What's to become of all these great, great motorcycles and our hobby?
Lovely collection of bikes Mike…..the black Atlas looked perfect (my favourite!). Also at the end of the video was that a Navigator (cream tank) on the trailer?…I had a Navigator back in ‘62, blue & white….pretty but noisy and not a lot of grunt. But my girlfriend at the time loved it, she loved my 650 ss even more! (My two ‘first loves’!!). 🇬🇧🤪
@@TheMightyGarage I loved those norton matisse racers back in the late 60's and early 70's . I remember the Jeffries family raced them with great success around Croft, Oliver's Mount, , Mallory Park etc etc. I looking forward to hearing it roar.
It's been said that the Bonneville's tank was the world's prettiest way to hold 3 gallons of gas. But I think the larger black with gold trim tank on the later Commandos deserves that distinction.
Very nice, thanks for posting! Cheers! 😎
Norton heaven!
Thank you Mike, fantastic
Wow! Some absolute beauties right here.......
Nice to see Colin's Atlas have a mention. Good friend of mine in UK for many a long year
Thanks Paul. It was great to see Colin again. Cheers

Great rally, looks really relaxed
Another great posting Mike, fantastic to see all those bikes at one venue. For me, I was sweet on that gorgeous blue 750 Commando S ✌️.

Don’t know if you’re in UK Stephen; if you are you are going to buy a Commando you might need to budget for a trip to the USA🤪🇬🇧
