Hope the Wolverine's acting is as good as Spidey's. I have a voice acting background and have to say that Yuri Lowenthal's performance is Spidey 2 has been such an inspiration for me since the Prince of Persia Trilogy. The vocal training was really tough, sometimes without noticeable results for months but actors like him and the late Kevin Conroy are a great impulse to not give up. You almost saw me as Leon in those new RE games :)
Insomniac’s evolution from a game studio into a tool to promote cultural agendas is why they were chosen by these hackers. Super heroes serve as role models to many children while growing up, and the most entertaining way to interact with these characters are video games. Insomniac’s decision to turn the iconic Spider-Man into a wimp in Spider-Man 2 is reprehensible behavior. Listening to Peter Parker constantly apologizing, and spewing self hatred for being a white male is disgusting and serves no purpose in video games. Gaming is supposed to promote fun and friendship. Not for children to hear that they’re terrible humans and should feel guilty because their great, great, great, ancestors did something controversial. This hack is pure Karma for the racists at insomniac and was well deserved.
I swear everyone crying and hugging eachother over this is the reason why video game journalism will always be a joke and nothing more than a hype machine for the industry. Imagine if you turn on news in the evening and the reporter is just "yeah something awful happened in Israel, its so awful we will not report about it because were such good people". This is what you are doing.
I do hope Sony/Insomniac is at least providing resources and financial support for their employees who now need to handle all their personal information being out there. Don't pay the 2 million to the hackers, that's fine, but now use that 2 million for the employees that are screwed over.
@@jingleballs9935 and exactly how many times they have gone above and beyond for their employes like the op is thinking they gonna go now 😂 sony is a scumbag corp and would fire those devs in an instant without a second thought..
Honestly, all of these leaks within the gaming industry no matter if it's due to hackers or negligence on the employees part to me calls into questions the cyber security at these companies. It's actually laughable that this keeps on happening.
Weakest link, my man. Looking at the results of black box phishing tests (i.e. literally no information given to the company doing the tests) is shocking at the very least. Some departments had a failure rate of over 60%, including those within the realm of IT. It doesn't take much to get into a company's network, you just need to find that one administrative employee who's about to retire and really doesn't want to do computer stuff anyway.
What’s laughable is that the govt is pushing for us to implant chips in our bodies to keep our personal info secure but billion dollar companies get hacked everyday
I feel bad for the devs who got leaked personal info, i despise the hackers, but i couldn't care less about the game leaks, saying things like "oh no poor devs having their secret roadmaps leak" and whatnot. There are worse things, lets stop pretending its the end of the world.
It is interesting because industries like the film industry are very public about their projects so this kind of info isn't valuable like in the video game industry. You are right, the big loss is the doxxing of dozens and dozens of hard workers.
The devs' personal info getting leaked is the only thing that matters lol. Who gives a shit about the game footage. I'll tell you for a fact that the devs' whose personal info got leaked don't care about the footage being leaked as well. These people's lives have genuinely just been ruined
@@littleoldmanboynot necessarily, it just means they have to get new back accounts, and renew their id's. If they let it go, than it could possibly ruin their lives.
@@InurdotThat’s the best case scenario, and doing those things are still a huge hassle. But if personal ID was leaked, that also includes things like home addresses, and that is life-altering.
I like seeing early development stuff. I find it interesting even though this was obtained with the studios consent it doesnt ruin anything about the game. Its far from being representative of what a final product woulf be anyway
What the hell are you talking about? This was not obtained with the studio's consent, and furthermore, why do you care about the game footage when those developers have just had their lives ruined?
@@littleoldmanboybro there are so many people that have lost any sense of humanity I really can’t. I feel like there are people that care more about playing games then living life and being with their families.
@@littleoldmanboyI'm pretty sure it was a typo. And you are getting overly aggressive. Check yourself. Sure, it's sad what happened to the developers, but they can get out in front of all those details that have been lost. No need to bitch at someone who has nothing to do with it when you aren't involved in it either.
< -- Right here is someone who clicked on the video not knowing about this leak yet. I'm not likely to play the game, but if I were, knowing some things wouldn't impair my enjoyment. I've reached a phase where I don't care much about spoilers for anything Edit: This comment was made in the first minute of the video, under the assumption Luke was going to show us the game-relevant leaked material. Probably good call that he didn't
It’s awful for insomniac.. The only thing I looked at were the upcoming games, the one that’s slated for 2030 was an amazing surprise! But the fact that people’s personal information has been dropped on the street makes it not worth knowing about such an amazing game.. Those poor, poor people…
How can you possibly know something is not worth knowing without knowing it?The way in which it was obtained is irrelevant. I personally couldn't imagine myself saying something was not worth knowing before I've even evaluated it.
I find the discussion regarding the game stuff is ridiculous. The only thing that leaks kill is hype, and unless you're 12 years old, why would you care about hype? Companies care about hype because it's the thing that sells games, not their quality. I'm not saying that Luke Stephens should show those here because he could get a copyright strike but the way he talks about it is a little dramatical to say the least. The only really bad thing about this is the developers personal information that was shared publicly but most people just talk about the game leaks, so.
What is ridiculous is thinking that it's okay to hack anyone. Sure, most of the time the leaks are exclusively about games but that still shouldn't happen. If I break into your house and, steal a spoon and leave without breaking anything, still doesn't make it right
Just as smooth as the brains of people in here thinking two bad things can’t exist at once and that their entire development plan getting leaked is just no big deal in any way whatsoever, just because something worse happened at the same time.
These large corporations don’t give 2 shits about their companies. I don’t care about the footage and game leaks but when the personal information and shit gets out like you should give a shit but of course these large companies don’t.
The problem is, if you pay the ransomers you have given them the green light to keep attacking your company, because you have proven to be an easy target that will pay up. But the company not having top notch security to prevent this kind of shit? Sony should be held accountable for their staffs personal information being made public.
Seems resonable to be more angry with the hackers, who were the ones acctually spreading the information and hellbent on ruining those employees life...
yes talk about the leak info (outside of personal info) - its out and not talking about isn't going to change anything the game design we see in this game is absymal - the same GoW game design which is just TLOU close camera action game trying to be a movie and its bad, its not going to improve just by a few years of polish, the VERY DIRECTION of the game is the problem - and the STORY is bad its a glorified Logan x Jean fanfic that ruins the character again, no surprise rememeber 40% is outsourced as we know now
Literally no one is asking people to cover the leaked personal info! The people that are giving the kid gloves treatment to Sony are exactly all the people I suspected that would. It really shows what Sony gets with their $30 Million in “marketing” per game. I’m unsubbing from cowards that conflate talking about leaked newsworthy info about games and the gaming business. Funny how they all crawl all over each other to cover every other leak that’s ever happened. I’m done with RUclipsr’s masquerading as unbiased journalists and/or influencers
You nailed it! Luke clearly has a personal/business relationship with Insomniac hence why he’s not covering the leaks, and he’s excusing it referring to the personal information. No one is asking for that. He’s trying to take the moral high ground disingenuously.
Leaks from wolverine: 40 missions, 15-16 hours of playtime There are shared spaces which are small spaces that are shared by multiple missions. @@lightskinnedlarry728 That’s just an excuse. People, including Luke, will say not to cover the leaks because of the information, yet know very well everyone would condemn that and they can just cover the gaming leaks instead.
i feel really bad for the devs who had their info leaked out, it's a tough situation wolverine stuff popped up on my twitter, because its like a wildfire over there. i'm still excited for the game and i hope the devs can recoup quick as far as getting their personal stuff back
My recollection was that the TLOU2 leak did a lot of people a favor by showing us where ND decided to take the story and that a number of people cancelled their pre-orders because of it. And while it's true it was critically acclaimed, it remains very divisive amongst the user base.
Most of the leaks were intended to create a hatred for the game before it was even released which was highly driven by people with political agendas. There's a very obvious reason why the leaks made it seem like Abbey was a trans character. A lot of people fell for the bait and cancelled their pre-order based on that alone.
@@SteelKreel It must be nice to have infinite time and wealth to try every single game. Most of us common folk have to look at the game and make a judgement - do i want to buy this, yes or no? Many people looked at the leaks and decided no, which they were perfectly entitled to do.

Just the other day Luke went into the story spoilers for Suicide squad.. did those devs not deserve any sympathy? Are they not trying their best for their audience?
Are people here serious? This must be a joke. They do it for money, they make games for money, they keep it a secret for money reasons, thats it. Hard working devs? Many people work hard so what. The only people who we should feel bad for are those with personal info leaked.

Two terrible wars are currently being fought, people are without homes, water, electricity, in fear, they have lost their loved ones, and I will worry about some multi-billion corporations that will wipe their tears with our money, yeah, right.
Just 2 days ago lol… definitely some bias, preferential treatment going on. This week, with these 2 leaks, is a prime example of that. Almost like an experiment was conducted. Any leaks hurt devs, but with Insomniac they finally realize it? 🤦🏾♂️
@@NadeemShekh-uy9zn leaks are leaks, no matter the source. If the crux now is not to hurt devs and spread their hard work before it’s ready, guess what, that’s every leak. I agree do not at all cover personal stuff, but game related leaks are always covered. As mentioned, Luke happily discussed the Suicidal squad leaks just 2 days ago. How do you think the devs felt about that? Wolverine story leaks are out, but now won’t cover that? Why? Because the info was released via a hack vs someone who was play testing, recorded it and spread it. Both cases resulted in info the devs did not want out, but you’re fine happily covering one and not the other? No, don’t cover any if your morality dictates not hurting the devs, because as it stands now Luke’s morality is fluid based on who the dev is
He's a hypocrite. He clearly has some business or personal relationship with Insomniac. I mean, he literally says that viewing the leaks 'doesn't add anything to your life'. I'm surprised he didn't outright order us to not look them up.
You don't have to read out a list of everyone's personal details, but there's a ton of newsworthy information there relating to things like those workers' job security. Staying quiet doesnt help them. It only helps the bosses. It's publicly accessible. Refusing to report on the relevant information is a disservice to your audience and the devs who can't afford to move at the drop of a hat.
@@SurviveOnlyStrong Thing is people might stumble on that part of the information, while looking for the game stuff. The video did mention there was a leak of personal information too.
@@octavianpopescu4776Then the relevant information being more really available would mitigate the chances of people stumbling upon the personal information.
It's really great of you and some of the youtubers I have seen taking this very ssly and not directly jumping in and sharing leaks with their audience . Very very matured move.. i myself won't going thru any leaks unless it comes out officially and i urge others to do the same .
I don't understand why we would not cover the leaks. It sucks that they got hacked, i think everyone rather has it did not. But the information is out there now. Acting like it's not makes no sense. People going to act surprised when they announce games that leaked here? Almost everyone knows it's already out there. It's just awkward to "ignore" these leaks.
On the whole i agree with your point but skillup brings up a really good point about how certain elements like xmen being a ps exclusive until at least 2034 is a big deal and needs to be reported.
That is actually a good point. I think with this leak, we will also find out where journalists draw their own line. Wouldn't they report it if they got star wars exclusive or would they report it if they got banana man exclusive. At what level of popularity is it worth talking about it, even if it might not be the "right" thing to do as a journalist? Also this could be the turning point for massive interest in leaks. More ppl are getting sick of it, cause many cool things get spoiled and presented in a way, the creators didn't intend to. Very interesting where this leads...
@@Swirrt I don't think people will get tired of leaks because it's interesting to see development process of a game but what I'm noticing is a lot of these RUclipsrs are having this moral ground because it's a Sony game. Sure the leak private information is terrible but stuff like that happens on a daily basis unfortunately. When other stuff was getting released nobody felt this upset about it but now it's different??? Plus all these RUclipsrs are doing their best to not call sony out and say they have a Cyber security issue because this has happened more than once of them getting hacked and people's information getting put out there and they haven't learned their lesson. If this was anyone else they'd hold their feet to the fire
Luke really be like: "Let's not cover this situation too much, forget about it etc. etc." and then makes this video, and a reaction video on his other channel (which by the way, he did say he wasn't planning to make any other videos on the situation after this one). Lol. Lmao even.
“It’s all fun and games until it happens to you”… so, it didn’t happen to you for the Suicide Squad leak, but now it is happening to you for Insomniac? Are you their employee? Or just a bigger fan of theirs?
I like most of Luke's takes but this is some Industry Man spin -- I get it, if I were a public facing personality I would also want to put distance between myself and leaks like this which are ultimately very destructive for the games and the developers involved. But to pretend like its not on a base level *supremely* *fascinating* to pick apart is a little suspect to me and sounds more like a streamer being pressured into making a statement that he knows he cant make. Anyone who acts like theyre going to go blackout on this leak out of some duty to people who you dont know and who dont know you is lying or full of themselves (not really accusing Luke of that, just making a point).
I think the blackmail part and the personal information stuff makes it fundamentally different from the usual leaks. A line has been crossed into personal attacks vs the usual: we got our hands on this footage from a game. One is clearly much more harmful and it's not the usual "ha ha" stuff.
@@jaroslavmrazek5752exactly. No one is sayin to cover personal info, but you can describe the gameplay, you can go into story details, like how Luke did for Suicide Squad
I almost didn’t click this vid ‘cause I thought maybe I’d see leaks I don’t wanna see, then I saw it was a vid from you and immediately knew it’d be a safe watch. Got integrity, Luke. It’s part of your rep and this vid was exactly what I thought it’d be once I realized it was your vid.
It's a video game, about children heroes, knowing what it's gonna play like in advance saves you the trouble of potentially getting hyped up for nothing. This hype mentality some of you have is seriously more damaging to the industry than a leak
I disagree with you that major news outlets should ignore this leak. News is news. Regardless of the source. Granted you should not cover the personal data and stuff like that. But video game stuff? Absolutely.
Journalists report on ilillegally-obtained information all the time as long as it's newsworthy and with things far more important than video games at stake. I shouldn't expect the highest of journalistic standards from gaming streamers, but it's disappointing to see how widespread this self-censoring reflex is.
I'm a developer myself, just wanted to say I appriciate this video a lot! Being a dev can sometimes be a little rough having he gaming community only seeing the corporation, and not the individuals behind titles, and therefore not caring as much about saying nasty things, sharing leaks etc. So yeah, I appriciate your take, it's nice to see you being part of the gaming community, feels like it's maturing, and I definitely dropped a sub!
I've had my discord account hacked and sold for randsome and discord support couldn't help me other than just to make a new account. This is even worse though, I don't even like looking at early dev footage too early because it's not meant for the public eye yet. But leaking people's info is worse than that, if I've felt violated getting my one discord account hacked with all of my conversations on there on that account that other people have access to forever now, how do you think other people feel?
Normally I'd agree with you, but this take seems a bit off to say the least. Sure, employee data having been leaked is absolutely horrible. Sharing these files is despicable. That's out of the question. But where exactly is the damage in looking for the leaked gameplay footage? Or the internal documents on sales numbers? The slides showing Insomniac's sales expectations or release roadmaps? Sure, I don't "get anything" out of looking at them, but frankly, I wouldn't get anything out of the actual promo, either. Skill Up put it best I think: these pieces of info are a Grey area that journalism is especially is allowed to report upon for context or because of news worthiness. Journalists can't just act like this info isn't out there. Capcom also had a similar hacking leak that also contained employee data, yet everyone still reported on it. Or just look at all the other leaks in the past few months (Xbox, GTA, most notably). This whole issue just seems pretty inconsistent to me. It feels like just because the victim is Insomniac, we have to re-evaluate our stance on leaks and how journalism should handle them. Why now? Hell, you yourself reported on leaks from Kill The Justice League a few days ago. If this change in approach from the media and content creators applies to all future leaks, fine. But I'm afraid of this just being a double standard that's being applied because the studio is well liked. And double standards have no place in journalism.
Its different because these leaks came from a source that contains personal information on people. If it was just business information like sales and product, thats different...but private personal information is extremely sacred and broadcasting these leaks (even just the gaming news) is going to make many more bad actors potentially finding the source and gaining access to the personal data. This is very different from the suicide squad and gta leaks as the source can cause real world harm.
@@avarnanfireI totally get that, but again, the same exact thing happened with Capcom, and Kinda Funny (a pretty big gaming podcast) still reported on it. I saw the footage from Insomniac's next game and their slides, but I have yet to see any of the dev information. Not that I somehow don't believe these got leaked, but I'm glad that the site I saw it on is pretty good with moderation and only contains the footage, artwork, and some business information.
Luke has no problems sharing GTA leaks, Suicide Squad leaks or Capcom leaks but draws the line at Insomniac, for what reason? Personal info? Capcom had personal info leaked as well and there was no one doing concerned good guy videos about it, they simply reported it. This reeks of favoritism.
This is why I love this channel. I subscribed a few years back around the time TLOU2 came out from one of your essay videos and I just love the way you're so honest about anything you say and respectful in the same vein. This is horrible because Insomniac is one of my favorite Developers and I just hope everything works out in the end and the games that were leaked, kick ass and are insanely successful. They don't deserve this at all.
@@corruptedCROWN I’m asking because Luke had no issue propagating leaked info of Suicide Squad THIS WEEK, info that they didn’t want out. I feel so bad for the families impacted by the leaks. Makes me angry they got roped into something so stupid. For the game though, Insomniac seems to have a great future ahead and I hope these leaks don't set them back too much. Honestly I'd rather them focus all their efforts on getting Wolverine out sooner rather than later at this point. What we saw looks amazing and I'd much rather have that game than a Venom spinoff any day! Leaks like this only hurt the gaming industry as a whole and I hope these companies will tighten up their cyber security after this
AND THIS!! my gamer friend is why i watch all your content luke, your real and you understand the big picture i love your opinions and thoughts. god bless my bro!
Rather odd to completely spoil suicide squad but refuse to talk about wolverine 🤔 A lot of true colors are being displayed. Sure personal info is off limits but there is legitimately newsworthy stuff in these leaks that people are ignoring just because it was insomniac and they're seen as the ideal developers. No this shouldn't have happened. Neither should the Sony leaks, or the gta leaks, or the Microsoft leaks, but they did and we all talked about them.
I do find it ironic that X-Men origins Wolverine was also a project where in leaks happened earlier in the development of that film (before post production where the special effects had yet to be added). Apparently Wolverine is a curse property in that regard.
Well I believe there should be transparency when these companies repeatedly lie and mislead there customers. Don’t like how the employee info is out there but I feel zero sympathy for the company itself.
This is actually insane the dichotomy… Luke literally, this week, shared Suicide Squad info. THIS WEEK, with NO PROBLEM doing so. Of course he won’t go into detail about why one is ok and the other is not. Any leak hurts the devs, regardless of source. Either cover all leaks or don’t cover any.

Respect for this video, Luke. Honestly the most frustrating thing for any gamer who is excited for upcoming titles is unnecessary leaks. Me personally I avoid spoilers, and glad you're not doing react bait content for those leaks, Proud skeptics can still respect privacy!
Please don't take this personally, just some constructive criticism from a long time viewer. I don't agree with the stance that you don't discuss it. There is such a thing as being a journalist whilst being ethical. As a journalist you don't get to decide what the news is, only report on it. Obviously you don't dilvulge anyone's personal information, but that's standard practice anyway, journalists regularly report news whilst safeguarding sensitive personal information.. But when exactly did it become wrong to talk about something that is newsworthy, because like it or not this is newsworthy, and the moment you decide what should and shouldn't be reported on, you stop being a reliable source. Not everyone is morally capable of being ok with that, and that's fine, but if so then maybe you're just not in the right field of work.
This is on Sony. You should have paid when they’re threatening a ton of your employees. It’s a minuscule amount of money for you, just protect your employees.
I am pleased to see that you have had the decency to take the stance you have on the material shared as a result of this hack. As you say, hacking is a serious criminal offence and it can cause the victims a great deal of trouble. The hackers should be shamed and not celebrated.
So... can someone explain why there were employee drivers' licenses on Insomniac's servers? And... *bank info*? Is this HR stuff? Shouldn't that be on different servers?
Legal documents are needed on record for identification purposes. This is needed for various reasons ranging from giving employees benefits (eg. Health insurance, 401k, etc.), to eligible proof of employment as per Federal law.
Normal business practice. If you've ever had an actual job (not meant to be an insult) but most business need to prove you actually exist and work for them. This falls into a lot of categories for federal laws and workers laws. They gotta give people their money for their work and that usually is connected to lots of personal info. Well actually that by itself is personal info and is a crime to aquire illegally. So yea totally normal. Servers don't work the way you imply either. Servers are just like comps supporting the highway of digital information. It's plural because it takes multiple is all. They don't have different boxes for different functions. Think of your modem or something. It's thar but bigger and badder and helps 100s of computers upload and download information either to the web or to the internal internet office site.
Let me just start by saying I'm against the leaking of personal information, However I don't care when it comes to a video game's character design or story being leaked. For me personally TLOU 2 leaks saved me $100 or so. While some were wrong, the two ones that mattered were right, while I have no doubt the game would be excellent graphically and mechanically, the story no longer interested me. So as far as I'm concerned, game leaks aren't always a bad thing.
Jesus. Insomniac is getting more sympathy over this hacking attack than a person whose whole family died in a freak accident. I get it, it sucks. It really sucks for all the people who have been exposed and had their hard work leaked, but it’s not a tragedy.
I'll still never understand why people love spoiling themselves and I've noticed leaks are happening more and more in media companies to hard working artists and developers alike it's a shame nothing can be a surprise anymore
I wouldn't say it's happening more and more, been seeing it across lots of media since at least 2009 and that's only when I was able to start paying attention.
@@lastmanstanding7155nope and funny enough alot of these RUclipsrs are doing their best to not call sony out on this issue. If this was anyone else they'd say something

Those hackers were so savvy that they chose to hack sony instead of depositing a million dollars into everyone's bank account? What a missed opportunity smh
it sucks for the employees for sure. I'm happy to wait until they release a proper trailer for wolverine whenever its ready so i won't be looking that up either. I'm not a law expert but i would think that releasing personal information of insomniac staff is legally worse than leaking footage from unreleased games, i also feel like breaking the law to try and blackmail a company that absolutely has the funds to legally ruin your life if they find you is probably not the brightest of ideas.
I usually enjoy the content Luke puts out, but the idea that "it's not [his] content to share" days after discussing the Suicide Squad leaks seems a little disingenuous IMO.
Finally, someone who considers ethics when these leaks happen. It bothers me when content creators deep dive into these, even when it’s just a roadmap. This is people’s hard work that wasn’t suppose to be shared. It’s just as confidential as the devs’ personal lives and information.
While I understand your point, making a direct video addressing the leaks is hardly any better than what you're criticizing since it will cause people to want to seek out that information too. The only way to address this is either not at all, or just post a video about leaks in general and how that can harm the industry as a whole, and the individuals within studios and why people shouldn't report on them, rather than specifically for this leak. Plus the clickbait thumbnail is just ridiculous and undermines any point you may have had even if I agreed with the way in which you went about it. You want to get the trending topic money, I get it, but you've talked about leaked stuff before as well which further makes this a goofy take.
Much love Stephen for your words and perspective! I've personally been trying to avoid these leaks as well mainly due to the fact the leakers are basically not just attacking Insomnia but also the employees which isn't cool at all. It's one thing to go after a company but never make something like this so personal to those involved. Plus I also want to avoid story spoilers as well for their future games/projects
Why the shit is a company keeping private info on the same servers and hard drives their keeping game footage? are they goofy? like wtf. Back in the day I downloaded the HL2 and Doom3 leaks. The doom one was neato because I got to fiddle with the engine which was cutting edge tech at the time, messing around in the console. The HL2 leak was just a couple of incomplete levels you could load up with a bunch of place-holders all over them, and you could fiddle with the physics system a bit. Those were the last leaks I had bothered with, back when I was a young and dumb 18yo kid.

Why should they pay the employees? And how will it help them cope with this?
Honestly, all of these leaks within the gaming industry no matter if it's due to hackers or negligence on the employees part to me calls into questions the cyber security at these companies. It's actually laughable that this keeps on happening.
Do you have any idea how easy 'hacking' is?
Weakest link, my man. Looking at the results of black box phishing tests (i.e. literally no information given to the company doing the tests) is shocking at the very least. Some departments had a failure rate of over 60%, including those within the realm of IT. It doesn't take much to get into a company's network, you just need to find that one administrative employee who's about to retire and really doesn't want to do computer stuff anyway.
What’s laughable is that the govt is pushing for us to implant chips in our bodies to keep our personal info secure but billion dollar companies get hacked everyday
“Loose lips, sink ships”
that's why cyber security jobs pay well, because there are few people good at doing it..
It’s one thing to leak game information, but to leak personal information is just evil. I hope they can figure out who did this
Thank you Luke for being a voice of reason and maturity amidst all of this! I feel for all the people affected by this.

It’s awful for insomniac.. The only thing I looked at were the upcoming games, the one that’s slated for 2030 was an amazing surprise!
But the fact that people’s personal information has been dropped on the street makes it not worth knowing about such an amazing game.. Those poor, poor people…

One of the few people in this industry who is an adult and acts like it.
Much respect.
If I break into your house and, steal a spoon and leave without breaking anything, still doesn't make it right
Gotta have the smoothest brain to critique pre-alpha gameplay harshly

Just as smooth as the brains of people in here thinking two bad things can’t exist at once and that their entire development plan getting leaked is just no big deal in any way whatsoever, just because something worse happened at the same time.
What is the difference between this leak and all the others leaks, the same happen to gta6 last years and everyone show it and talk about it???
Because it's Sony Pony.
If this leak was about, in example, Avowed and Outer Worlds 2 from Obsidian, everyone would be all over it.

Leaks from wolverine:
40 missions, 15-16 hours of playtime
There are shared spaces which are small spaces that are shared by multiple missions. Then there are hubs which are large locations that support multiple missions, fast travel, activities, vehicles and pedestrians. There are 4 main locations:

Pick up and throw enemies into hazards for crowd control or air launch them. Destructible environments and can tear through ninjas clothes with claw attacks. Enemies in low health or special states can be killed with one hit. Health regenerates slowly. You can gain a good amount of health when attacked during a small window if you attack back. More attacks you throw during the window, the faster it recovers. They are aiming for dismemberment. There are 4 confirmed abilities so far:
1: Amor buster
2:hot claws
3: shockwave slashes
4: tornado attack.
For traversal you can wall run or wall climb with claws. Climb trees like Connor from ac4. Pole swing, slide and zip line. And also counterweight.
Jean gray is your primary ally for 8-10 missions
Walter (human&sasquatch) is another ally for two missions.
There are 6 bosses in total:

3. death strike
4. Alpha sentinel

Enemy factions are the hand, reavers and sentinels.
Side activists so far include:
1. living memories(puzzles)
2. bounties(traversal)
3. jobs (combat).
4. collectables like lore items or salvage for suit crafting
Suits can have mods equipped or already come with one. They are looking for more ideas.
There’s also Motorcycle sections with combat where u can attack while riding. And finally a co op survival mode.

It's a video game, about children heroes, knowing what it's gonna play like in advance saves you the trouble of potentially getting hyped up for nothing. This hype mentality some of you have is seriously more damaging to the industry than a leak
Luke's very trustworthy. I watched this video with my ex. It's disgusting what some men can do. Let's hope this doesn't impact any game.
I saw their upcoming games list and it's atrocious.

AND THIS!! my gamer friend is why i watch all your content luke, your real and you understand the big picture i love your opinions and thoughts. god bless my bro!
I've seen that GTA VI video that leaked some time ago. I barely remember what was on it now.
This indeed sucks because insomniac will only make shitty marvel games until R&C drops in 2030 or something
Rather odd to completely spoil suicide squad but refuse to talk about wolverine 🤔
A lot of true colors are being displayed.
I am getting the same vibe.
I do find it ironic that X-Men origins Wolverine was also a project where in leaks happened earlier in the development of that film (before post production where the special effects had yet to be added). Apparently Wolverine is a curse property in that regard.
Was thinking the same while watching the leaked footage. Something similar happened in 2009 with the movie as well
Well I believe there should be transparency when these companies repeatedly lie and mislead there customers.
I mean this one did have employee information
@@Jigglexphysics dont cover personal obviously, but game is fair game. Like covered story leak details of suicide squad but said it’s disrespectful to do so for wolverine.. 🤔
He literally talks about this in the first three minutes of the video but go off lol
Man you need to go check your brain for damage, because he's literally talking about how personal information that can actually damage real people is at stake here.
@@Gatitasecsii obviously don’t cover personal stuff lol, obviously, but game stuff? All I’m saying is be consistent
Leaks are bad indeed
But they are good sometimes - we now know that kill the justice league is not as bad as we thought
it's even worse
Although I agree with you, we should hold these companies to higher standards to protect not just their projects, but especially their employees.
It's hard to do that when you won't even talk about the information now available.
@@gavinhillick whut
I feel like luke not talking about the sales data and budgets is a real shame. I would have liked to see his take on those bits of information.
7:30 - I'd say the word you were looking for was "decency." It definitely shows a lack of basic decency on the part of those outlets.
Only thing that the leaks revealed is that the games people are looking forward to are still at least 2 to 6 years away
Insomniac studio itself sucks
They're not sucks, just overrated
This is on Sony. You should have paid when they’re threatening a ton of your employees. It’s a minuscule amount of money for you, just protect your employees.
That's stupid. All that would show is that others can collect a paycheck trying to hack them. They did the right thing.
First time hearing about this. Thanks bro I’m going to look it up now 👊🏻
I hope Sony already a hired a company to help them secure their employees breached data and offered years of free credit monitoring on top.
Jesus. Insomniac is getting more sympathy over this hacking attack than a person whose whole family died in a freak accident. I get it, it sucks. It really sucks for all the people who have been exposed and had their hard work leaked, but it’s not a tragedy.
You don’t think leaking personal info is a big deal? That says more about you then anything.
@@dannysmi7162 Ooooh, you got me! It sucks for the employees, as I’ve said. It’s still not a tragedy.
the Last of Us 2 leaks did in fact hurt the game sales what are you talking about.
Well this isn't the first biggest breach for sony. Sony just apparently doesn't care.
@@lastmanstanding7155nope and funny enough alot of these RUclipsrs are doing their best to not call sony out on this issue. If this was anyone else they'd say something
@@dominicarroyo6269
I think people feel bad about the personal info breach. But sony has shitty security and this is common knowledge.
I've seen all of it... And as an artist, the Wolverine tests look great. Literally just like the GTA VI leaks.... If you know, you know it's going to be great...
idgaf about game leaks, its just a videogame.. but.. completely doxxing several devs who just sit in cubicles doing their jobs is something else..
The Wolverine game looks fun.
I usually enjoy the content Luke puts out, but the idea that "it's not [his] content to share" days after discussing the Suicide Squad leaks seems a little disingenuous IMO.
Thanks for the great coverage as always 👊🏿
Finally, someone who considers ethics when these leaks happen. It bothers me when content creators deep dive into these, even when it’s just a roadmap. This is people’s hard work that wasn’t suppose to be shared. It’s just as confidential as the devs’ personal lives and information.
It does piss me off when people say they deserved this just because some had beef with Spiderman 2. This has nothing to do with that.
I just watched the short video on the gameplay for Wolverine and I'm happy to announce it's going to be mateur rating with dismemberment
I guess they should have paid the ransom. Instead maybe Sony can be taken to court for failing once again to protect it's employees.
Why the shit is a company keeping private info on the same servers and hard drives their keeping game footage? are they goofy? like wtf. I feel like thats business 101 don't keep private shit that can ruin lives, right beside the video game stuff. I feel like there should have been safeguards in place like I unno, story employee info and work projects seperately like common sense
100% agree!
And to me, whoever is trying to capitalize on the actual data leaked is at least indirectly responsible
