These are a such a great option for those who missed out on the haslab packs. Sure it takes takes spending more money to bring it to a comparable level to a stock haslab pack at MSRP, but haslab packs can't be had at MSRP.
Thanks for the video man I just ordered one of these packs for the price and I had like $150 off so I just had to do it Really impressed a costume company could make these at so cheap it’s amazing I hope they made money off these to continue to make good cheap props
I have 3 proton packs. 1 is a home built RGB pack that was made outta foam. It’s super light and pretty damn accurate. I have a fully modded Haslab pack and also this full size spirit pack. I love all of my packs but the spirit pack is super light and I did ALOT of work. Ripped the cyclotron and booster tube with frame and put more accurate looking pieces. I’m super happy that Spirit came out with these. They are very moddable and for a good price
I just ordered mine today! Planning on several of these upgrades! I have the 84 wand and was considering attaching it, but I may just do the lighting/button kit for the wand. Appreciate the vid man.
Absolutely! Thanks for watching! As I mentioned in the video, installing the light kit in the stock wand that comes with the pack was an absolute nightmare of a job and just overall frustrating. I wouldn't ever do it again haha however the visuals it gave were incredible.
Great mod review. As you said the days of paying thousands of pounds/dollars are over. I've been a hardcore fan since I was 5 years old. Always wanted a top-notch pack but over here in England you was looking at about £4,000 tops which is way beyond my budget. Modding these spirit packs is so much fun. It's like "here is a canvas, make it yours." got my pack for about £260 which is a phenomenal price and all the Etsy creators are fantastic. Thank you so much for the tip on the rust paint to use on the Cyclotron, got my order on the way from, Frankengeek. Can't wait. Much love from England 🏴 👍
Thank you so much. Yeah that's a fantastic price to start at. I'm happy to see great packs being built that are less than 1,000. Frankengeek is an incredible source for mod parts. Cheers!
I will agree, it is enjoyable building packs from scratch. The most fan I've ever had on a pack was my Extreme pack that I'll be putting a video up for soon. It was entirely scratch and independently designed. Can't wait to show it on a video.
@@kookieriot awesome! I just completed over the summer and Anovos pack kit I had sitting for 9 years! Lots of upgrades. Lived working on it. Added an afterlife switch.
@@kookieriot yes one of the better shells for the time. 0 instructions and lots of of research needed + gbfans almost everything. I collected over the years and don’t want to add it up lol
Ill be honest and say it was extremely difficult to physically install the light kit. However the light kit was never connected to the packs board. I kept it 2 separate systems with its own separate power sources. If I were to do it again, I'd just buy a haslab 84 wand and install it like everyone else does. It was a headache.
I have the haslab pack and I hate to see people modifying the pack, it devalue the pack. I bought a Spirit pack to modify and not have worry about my haslab pack. The best part is that I can leave the haslab pack at home and wear the Spirit pack.
That's very true. The haslab pack is pretty solid and I don't understand why people tend to mod them when the spirit pack is so easy and mod friendly on a much cheaper budget.
I can see what you mean, however I cannot agree with them being top shelf compared to the packs that have been built years long before Hasbro had Ghostbusters. I had a Nickatron pack for many years that was insanely incredible and way beyond than what Hasbro or others can produce lately. However its big money to invest in packs like that which have been around for many many years. For the price of the Haslab and it's quality, I'd put it in the middle tier of proton packs this current generation.
@@kookieriot idk to me they all look like they are made of cake fondant and I still haven't seen one that impresses me for the price they sell at, I really hope to be proven wrong some day because I'd love to see one
I have modded my haslab pack but almost each mod I have done is 100% reversible. The only semi permanent changes I’ve done is paint the ion arm chrome and done a full inner cyclotron repaint so all the wires and contacts and lights are the same as the screen used packs. The cyclotron itself had the same treatment and looks better than the all brown plastic it starts off as. But other than that I’ve done a V-hook swap for a real Dixie bracket, real tape over the moulded tape, powercell white filter replaced with a black filter (still comes through the same colour but looks much as I tried a blue filter and it looked soo cartoony), real wire clamps on red wire that goes into the cyclotron lid, a plug in hose connector that plugs right into the stock board and a frutto keep alive mod. All reversible mods. My wand has similar treatment. At the moment I have 3 snap on grips: all black 84 grip, wooden finish with worn black paint 89 grip and a bigger more accurate afterlife grip with a full wooden finish and real studs. All snap on and off with ease. I removed the horrible moulded tape on the rear grip and got a filler and real military grip tape, real Dixie cup holder like some of the packs in the films, dirty decals for the bar graph, vent light and barrel that all look afterlife accurate and painted the tip silver.
3 and 4000 bucks? Thats what hasbro and all seen and assumed the fandom was rich people. And yep, the ones with big money look down on other fans. Its beyond weird
Agreed it saved the community and pissed off the toxic pack makers.

Thanks for watching! Yeah I agree, I hope we see more versions of the full size pack. Its been such a huge hit to the community.
Looks like a cool pack Bro! some B roll of it would add a lot to the video.

finally upgrading my smaller spirit pack to the 1:1

@@kookieriot I ordered a kit for the cyclotron and hga, requires cutting, but makes them more movie accurate. Cannot wait for them to arrive!

I put a clip on sound activated bargraph from Fivebelow on to my wand. Not screen accurate but, it looks pretty good
That's a great idea actually
My pack is 84 modded. I’ll add a hasbro wand with a - Tools and Talent Loom. I’m happy with mine
Sorry building from scratch for me was way more enjoyable and authentic. But it is good there are more options now

@@JoshHRify yes I did. This last spring.
@ nice! With all the people watching your video, I could not imagine no one would buy it haha

How difficult was connecting the light/sound wand kit to the existing board in the pack?
