    YOU REALLY NEED TO WRITE SOME PROPER DOCUMENTATION. I am currently in the process of replacing my AWD scooters Dual 'Based on VESC' ESC with the FT85DB ESC.
    Back Story for why replace the ESC: Two reasons for replacement are blown MOSFETs on the slave ESC. I'm not 100% sure its the two MOSFETs, very high probability. I have the replacements, just not the time to complete the repair right now. Perhaps I'll write it up and do a post on Vedder's VESC forum. The second reason is I just got sick of all the bull sh#t when dealing with the VEST Tool, from how poorly written it is, unnecessarily complex with incredibly esoteric parameters that may or may not apply for a given setup , the version compatibility, and the list goes on and on. As an Application Architect with over 20 years experience, I have significant credibility in raising these issues, but I digress, back to the FlipSky ESC.
    So, initial setup went very well, and honestly it was a pretty easy to drop the new controller in, the wires provided near perfectly adapted the previous controllers wires to the FlipSky. The tool was quick to 'install', Actually, it is a standalone EXE so there is no install, just copy it to the location you will run it from. One note however, it will crash (or it did on my laptop) if you do not change the startup to RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.
    The program is very basic, but that is okay. As I primarily run Mac's these days, I grabbed on old windows laptop, which runs itr perfectly. It is a little annoying with the full size of window upon start up. It forces me to resize it so I can scroll down to see the connection buttons.
    You will most likely be forced to update the firmware right away. Not a lot of documentation, butr easy to figure out. Once you enter bootloader mode, you can update the firmware.... The confusing part is the utter lack of indication where the firmware came from, or if its there,,,, a nice warning about not applying the wrong one, but since you have no control over this, it's rather meaningless. I assume it downloads with the version of the tool you are using. A leap of faith and it updated, you will need to repeat the process for the slave ESC, using its own USB port.
    1. It has an internal connection from the master ESC TO THE slave ESC. My previous ESC required a cable.
    Motor detection was very fast and without incident. The motors run quiet and honestly give every indication they are running better than under the previous ESC.
    Setting up the control was straight forward. I Use ADC with brake. I could have just changed the position of a few wires and reused my old connector, but removing some old glue made it easier to just solder a new plug on. Now, here is where some documentation is needed.
    I made the correct assumption that if I ignored the wires for LMH and R, the motors would likely run as if in High. This indeed seems to be the case.
    HOWEVER, HOW DO I USE THE 'GEAR' WIRES? I am assuming that the gear of choice will need to pulled either high or low, and that by default the high gear wire is already pulled to this position.
    This is not clear.
    Lighting..... there are 4 wires for each. So two are used to powder the light, and two are to control it? This seems odd, So, on the scooter I need to run 4 wires up the handle bar, two go tro switch, two go to light??? Is this so when the controller times out the light goes off? So the switch is a momentary switch??
    Same with the brake light....or is this a tail light combination.....I would think the controller should do some thing to the brake light when it thinks I am using the electronic brake. Is this the case?
    This video mentions connecting the lights, but haS NO DETAIL.

      to use gears. you connect the required 'gear' to the middle speed wire. ie high is middle with high. middle is nothing. and low is middle with low. no use of lights tho with adc throttle. disappointing for escooter use. i have the unit in my wolf warrior 11+ goes great. just no lights. unless i go with vx4 rx.. disassemble than and use it for throttle via custom prints, ie hacking it to bits..... if lights could be used with adc throttle and brake it would be perfect!!

      @highwaltage I decided to open up the controller's aluminium box the other day. I must admit, it was disappointing to find ABSOLUTELY NO coating on the board and no glue on the capacitors. That's a lot of faith in solder joints. Does Flipsky understand that these boards will be operating in a harsh environment with incredible amounts of vibration?
      The quality of the PCB is very good, but I like having additional protection for a circuit operating inside an escoters deck.
      I assume the gear wires can 'float' without causing harm and that the settings in the software are meaningless .... or is it using the values for the medium gear for maximum erpm?

      @@ThnkCmdyFeelTrgdy ive purchased two of them for my wolf 11+ and a wolf x. the lack of ability to use lights with adc throttle is rather disappointing. surely it can be implemented in a firmware update? i can see a lot of scooter users moving to these little units if the lights function properly with adc throttle. thanks for the heads up about internals and lack of securing for the caps etc. will get onto that.

    Does this model also support turn signals or only the other lights?

    hi. can i use lights with my escooter? i use adc throttle and brake. ft85bd unit. wolf warrior scooter. can i for example. use adc throttle and brake on main unit. and have vx4 rx on slave unit to use lights??

    • @FlipskyTech
      @FlipskyTech  4 месяца назад

      Yes, the FT85BD can use lights but can't over then 12v. You can not use ADC and VX4 at the same time, can just use one control type.

    Hey im looking to buy ur Lighting eletric skatboard but the thing is that There are no creators to rewiew it and Im kinda skeptical. ANother thing is how long would it take to ship to The US. if order by this week?

      Hi Sir. Thank you for your interest of our eskateboard. Sorry. We don't have stocks in US at present. If by sea, the lead time is about 30-40 days. If by air, around 10-15 days.

    Is this for scooters or the sk8? I should have a scrern for scooters and also a key for scooters 😢😢

    • @FlipskyTech
      @FlipskyTech  9 месяцев назад

      Yes. It's applicable for both esk8 and escooter. It supports ADC throttle and brake for ebike / escooter. The smart switch button is different from key switch. For 2WD scooter, you can also use our single esc FT85BS V2.0 supports key switch. shorturl.at/ghEW2 Thanks.

    what are key differences between this model and vesc models?

    • @FlipskyTech
      @FlipskyTech  8 месяцев назад +1

      It's programmable via ESC tool, a different APP and supports speed level limit. Compared with our escs based on vescs, this model supports front, real lights and a horn without extra external board.

      We do not recommend using such a high battery, as this exceeds the specification range and may easily damage the ESC.
