No, then we have the 2008 bail out of GM, Chrysler, and Ford. It is a free market in a capitalistic society. Let him improve on his own or let him fail. It’s not our job the American people to bail him out.
Imagine being outsold by 100 to 1 on a hostile drone that you must hack and smuggle to use... and then claiming your drone is such a better solution...
Comparing a DJI product to most any other on the consumer market is basically the equivalent of taking someone to a Motorola phone store and telling them "you can pick out whatever phone you want" only to realize they have had a flagship phone for 15 years but trying to convince them the Motorola is somehow better. It's been a long downhill trajectory for drone enthusiasts especially in the hobbyist sector. Much of this is self inflicted with people flying over crowds, near manned aircraft, over stadiums on and on but a lot of it is just lack of knowledge and understanding of UAS much like many people's blind disdain for anything with a trigger and a barrel that goes bang. The feds and even the FAA have been on a warpath to monetize and commercialize the UAV market much like in the way they have made GA completely out of reach for the average person. Flying UAV's is one of the only exposures I get to aviation since affordable flight training for manned aircraft just doesn't exist. I see that China is a threat but I think people really are grasping at strings on this drone thing. The guy doesn't even know what he's talking about he repeatedly refers to DJI as DGI 😂....another example of people making rules about things they know absolutely nothing about. It sounds to me that the US is more pissed off that other countries are doing things better than they are and in turn are focusing on how to dismantle their efforts rather than focusing on how to better compete and crank out better STEM and engineering students to build and deliver products Americans actually want. People don't choose DJI because it's from China they choose it because it's the best technology for the price point offered that's called (being the best value). I have no allegiance to DJI if an American company had anything in the same league I'd try it.... I've tried other UAS platforms and have never been impressed and frankly found them poorly built, unreliable, overpriced, incapable and out right dangerous. DJI by far is the most robust with safety and anti collision technology out of the box. Just my two cents.
If workforce is truly the number one concern, then how about the US government step up to universal health care. I can think of no single greater action to reduce the burden of employers across EVERY industry. For citizens, access to heath care makes for a safer, healthier, workforce that is free to pursue meaningful work not dictated heavily by the type of health insurance available through the employer. Please fix our broken healthcare system before worrying about building more ships. It’s not 1940 anymore.

These guys are clueless to anything that doesn't put money in their pockets. Americans drones are expensive, so let's make the competitions drone more expensive for Americans. I could have sworn these guys were supposed to be our representatives, but it seems more like they're representing special interests. A few short years ago I had a harmless hobby now I have a reason for state sanctioned goons to surround and harass me because I refuse to pay them and play all these stupid games even though I've never done anything that warrants the state to babysit me and dig through my pockets. I guess you'll be coming after my RC cars next, telling me I need to get a license for them and register them with the DMV because roads exist. I fly FPV I there's never been a time when I felt the need to go over 100 ft because there's nothing of interest up there for me, and I've never seen people and thought maybe I should go buzz people with my modified blender. I don't need you in my bedroom any more than I need you in my hobby. I was a criminal for my choice of recreational intoxicant, now that it's legal in my state I guess I'll go back to being a criminal for my recreational drone hobby. I guess ann rand was on to something when she said "The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.

I was landing a drone once and some lady happened to be walking across the street and grabbed her daughter and said "come on he's watching us with a drone" 😂 I responded and said "lady, of all the natural beauty and scenery nearby you really are so vain and believe I want to be watching you" she just stomped away. 😂
