Every single Mcfarlane one is bad and I’m not gonna buy a Mafex. (I really just want Todd to give up the license or do 1/12 scale finally)
I agree the mafex hush one is good as a mostly definitive superman figure but the price is unreasonable with it pretty much costing around $350 on retail due to scalping and mafex not rereleasing and McFarlane is just way too cheap
Thank you for your cape suggestions. I did it immediately. And it looks amazing. I was having a lot of trouble getting the plastic cape like you were to fit in the slots. After you showed me how to make the cloth, tape look more authentic, I didn’t worry about the plastic tape anymore. Truly appreciated. And extremely grateful.
To be honest nobody but the upcoming mezco (and the reeves one) have smiling heads, it's very tiring how companies just don't want to make a smiling head for supes

The cape pegs are comically big compared to the holes they give you. It is absolutely ridiculous to expect people to heat up the peg holes before inserting the cape pieces. I think they screwed up in production and don't want to exchange all the defective units. How does one even heat up the holes? A hair dryer?
A custom modder making smiling Supes heads would make a fortune. So many Batman and Spiderman heads being made but the real opportunity is still being missed by those artists.

This is a super fun figure. i got the black suit version. the hands popping out is a major issue. i had to take a blow dryer to the plastic cape. but even then the cloth cape is just better. it's fun to be able to put supes in more organic flight poses then any of the other lines make possible. Def worth getting.
Jim Lee designed the armor, but Jesus Merino drew the first Superman issues that featured the New 52 armor. Jim Lee drew the first issues of Justice League that New 52 Supermen appeared in.
Thank you for the great review! I think my only complaints are the lack of acessories and the heads. It feels a bit off that most of Supe's heads are the same with the eyes looking in different directions, especially since revoltech has had posable eyes before. Also kinda annoying that he doesn't come with much compared to other AM. I understand that his size and the extra cape probably adds to the cost, but it just feels weird that several AM come with a lot more yet cost less. Buuuut I'm probably just being entitiled sour grapes or whatever. Figure does look great with what its got. Hopefully Cloth capes are the future for the line.

Just got mine today and just opened. The figure feels like it can actually take off and fly. My 1st Ymaguchi figure and I'm loving the weird/crazy joints.
I've had this Superman for almost a month and for the life of me I can't tuck the cape under the neck. It's driving me nuts, I've just given up and left it alone.

I use the atattchment for the robe, but it always falling when i want it to flap up. But mine is the black version superman. Is there any diference if i attach the robe into the neck? Does it will give more rigidity?
What do you use for flight stands? I hate taking pictures of my figures on flight stands cause you can always see the ugly clear plastic around the waist
