  • The 500 mile service is important because after assembly and then riding 500 miles sometimes things loosen up and need to be checked or tightened. Come along as we do the 500 mile service on my Lifan KPM 200.

    Again want to say I appreciate this channel.
    The KPM is my first bike and I remember having been afraid I wouldn't find good resources that a beginner like me could understand. With these videos I feel pretty confident I can work on the bike 👍

    Great, thorough video! As far as the chain, most riders will be happy to get 1,000 miles on the stock chain. (This might be a year or two...) On my KPM200 Scrambler, I needed to add a link to the chain to accomodate the larger dual sport tires. This gave me the excuse to upgrade to a better O-ring chain that should last at least 5,000 miles, maybe more!

      Thank you, yeah I just upgraded to a new Japanese RK chain. I choose to run a standard chain because it has less rolling resistance, the small hp bikes need all the help they can get sometimes 😁

      Your welcome David, your wife would probably love the Lifan KPV 150 scooter. I took it for a ride and man it runs and rides really nice, and my wife loves it.

      Hi Ian, the Kpm is a wonderful bike in my opinion and I love riding it, Lifan products have all been good quality so much so that I just bought a new Lifan for my wife and will be showing it within a week or so. Thank you

    I saw where you changed the oil filter on this 500 miles service but did you change the oil filter also at 35 miles on the first break in oil change also?

      I did change the oil filter on my first oil change, I did a video on that too. I should be good for a while now. Thanks for the comment

      Thank you! I’m sure it could but I’ve never tried it, it’s a very sturdy bike I think, I’d should be able to handle it

      Which bike do you think would be better for 2 people the KPM or the KPR ?
      Thanks again for your response...

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  Месяц назад

      @@GR-jq2qp it would be the same most likely, the only real difference would be that on the KPR you and the passenger would have more of a forward lean. On the Kpm you would both be more upright and in my opinion would be more comfortable
