Y'all are such a joy to watch! We visited Malaysia last summer but didn't make it to the Cameron Highlands, so it was fun to see and we've definitely added it to our list for next time.
I absolutely LOVE your thumbnail for this video. So good. Also, I really enjoy the animations and sound effects you guys apply to your edits. It really levels up your production quality and makes the vlogs easy to watch. Well, that and the doggos. 🥰
Aww thanks guys! We want to be more creative with our thumbnails! And also with the edits, animations and sound effects, we’d like to play with it more without it being too cheesy… 😋 The dogs are our favourite part! 😂

Ooh we hope that someone else can chime in and help as we have only visited Cameron Highlands! From what we’ve heard they are very different though as Cameron Highlands is a lot of nature and Genting Highlands has a theme park and casino, that seems to be what it’s mostly known for. We wanted to do both but ultimately decided on Cameron Highlands due to us being nature lovers and also our budget being a little on the low side. 🙏🏼
@ganeshr4371 I would say so! After visiting all of these locations I think that this will give you a great mixture! Make sure to check out our videos from Phuket and Langkawi too! 😉
Great video, thanks for sharing your adventure! Could you please share the location, cost of the accommodation, looks fantastic. More prices and locations of all would be great in future videos too.... you go to such interesting places. Many thanks!
Ahh thank you so much for the feedback, we for sure will share more about this in the future! This place is called Backyard Glamping and I think costs around $30 USD per night! 😊 we hope that you get the chance to stay there! 😊

@@SilkyRonTheRoad West Malaysia (mainland) we have 3 highlands.. two famous among local and tourist ( Genting highland and Cameron highland ) and the other one is Bukit Fraser (Fraser's Hill ) layback and less touristy.. All of this in the state of Pahang.. recommendation ermm.. base on where you are right now.. i guess you should heading towards Taiping.. small town but with lot of thing to do.. waterfall.. lakes.. food.. night safari zoos.. ✌️✌️

The mossy forest are big, you don't have to enter the platform in you don't want to pay, there are many alternatives routes for hiking n jungle trekking into the forest
The board walk is unnatural but is necessary in order to prevent degradation of the footpath and trespassing. With perpetual rains and the many visitors the paths could turn into rivers and gullies in no time.
Yeah, this is so true. We actually had a conversation with a local about this, it’s super funny but in most of Asia their aim is to make all of this nature accessible with paths and stuff and in Scotland everything is just left as natural as possible with little to no man-made interference. I guess both have their pros and cons. 😁
Yes there are few entries. Well-made Platform with stairs based and natural hiking path. If u are normal visitor then hiking path will be difficult ... So options are available for chills walk and view points
Wow, amazing scenery in Cameron highlands! Great video guys! Are you guys vegan? I'm heading to Malaysia in three months, so all of this is so helpful. I am vegan, so it is good to see what you can get to eat in Malaysia. Stunning video all around! The dogs are adorable and people so friendly!
Aww thank you so much! We are vegetarian which we found reasonably easy in Malaysia, I’m not sure about vegan but any help and advice we can give you we will be sure to share that with you for your trip here! ✨
Silly question that you've probably heard 100x before: But do you guys eat a quick snack or anything before you do these long hikes or walks in the morning? I can't imagine walking uphill for 3 hours before eating anything at all. Even if it's just a slice of toast and a banana, I think I would need to put something on my stomach to jump start my energy.
Not a silly question at all 😃 We actually don’t eat before a hike except if we have time of course and things are open 🥰 here we only had 3 little buns each until we reached town in the afternoon! Haha. It was a long day with little food! 🙈 luckily we were not so hungry!✨
The cost is to keep maintenance and help preserve the nature. The boardwalk is so you don’t go trampling on the plants. They no entrance is so you don’t go trampling on the plants , get lost hurt and than expect people to rescue you
Your video is awesome. I've seen a lot of youtubers visiting the mossy forest and never before they have to pay a cent. I guess they have started to charge now because the area has become too touristy. I may be wrong though. The best mossy forest video in my opinion is from a Swedish couple DanAnna which they posted about 2 months ago: "Vlog Trail1 And TeaPlant".
It was free before, but it attracting too many people come to the sites, which later ruining the mossy and the forest itself. When there is too much poople, holigans or nasty teenager will do some bad thing. If I not mistake, they had to close the area to conserve for quit long time before it reopen again. Charging such a fees is actually a way to limiting the visitor.
This is so true, and very important! There are some incredible places in the world which have been kept in the most natural way because of the price tag! ✨
@SilkyRonTheRoad it is "free", when people do hiking, maybe trail no 10. Other surrounding forests have similar condition but paying means you can reach the highest point.
Mmm... Coffee canned drinks. Love 'em. If you are interested in natural therapies, in Malaysia, they have canned coffees with Malaysian ginseng, called Tongkat Ali. It's reported to boost testosterone in men. For Silke, maybe, look for coffee that has Kacip Fatimah. I am not a naturopath tho, just Google knowledge and word of mouth.
Ooh we will for sure look into that, the whole coffee in a can thing is new to us and I must admit… we love it! 🤤 Gonna be searching for those! ✨ Thanks for the tip! 👌🏼
