Full Guide Mossy Forest Cameron Highlands 2024 - from Tanah Rata to Mossy Forest

Today is another exciting day.
We will visit the famous Mossy Forest in Cameron Highlands.
*** Tanah Rata to Mossy Forest - 15km - 1 hour to 1.5 hours
*** Stop at Boh Tea Plantation before going to Mossy Forest for relaxation
1. We recommend booking a travel & tour scattered all over Tanah Rata or Brichang (they come in reasonable price).
2. Whether Full Day or Half Day, you will still visit Mossy Forest.
3. Weather and Temperature in Mossy Forest can differ day by day. It is highly recommended you wear protection from rain and wind.
4. The boardwalk covers 800 meters but do not worry, there are shelters inside where you can rest.
5. Mossy Forest is not free; you need to pay at the counter.
6. Toilet is available near parking area.
7. Only 4x4 Jeep and permitted vehicles are allowed to enter Mossy Forest.
8. Find a lot of species and plants inside Mossy Forest.
9. Mossy Forest is out of this world experience. It is magical and enchanting like the Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter movies.
10. The trees covered with moss creates mystical shapes and figures.
11. Legend spoke of a guardian spirit who watched over this sacred place. She was a nymph, her skin the color of moss, her eyes the hue of forget-me-nots.

I never been to Cameron Highlands. People say a wonderful place to relax. how cold is it?

Night time call fall to 15deg C. Noon time can be around 24deg C. Pleasant temperature.

Depends on the weather but to put into average, night can be 13 - 19 degrees. Morning 19 - 24 degrees

How long does it take to visit this place ?

1-2 hours ( 1 hour walk up concrete path , 1 hour in the small narrow walk on muddy path around mossy tree ), as currently the actual deck walk place is under renovation
