- Installed a true cold air intake for my Focus ST from 2jracing!! Go check them out they make so much stuff for different vehicles but i think that they make the best intake ever for the focus.

I’m curious though if there’s a restriction with the filter being in that pocket??? Which is probably why you’re getting the loud intake noise (restriction vacuum noise??)There’s no real air flow going to the filter like being in the stock position. Should probably get a dyno test to see if there’s any improvement in power. Otherwise yes sounds great! But I’d like to know if there’s improvement before I think about getting one…could you do a dyno for us?
Well if your still stock turbo your fine. The turbo inlet on the stock turbo is only 2.5 inches and the intake is only 2.5. You can force more air through a small hole. So it works. But once you upgrade the turbo like I did you need a 3in intake
Yeah I’m all modded out/tuned (stock turbo), but would like more turbo noise🤣 I’ll give it whirl
So I had this intake on previously and per my AP, my turbo inlet was seeing about the same temp, and my tuner had said the smaller diameter tube along with the tight radius reduced flow to the turbo and would be a limiting factor if looking for the most HP gains. So basically, while it does sound amazing, it’s losing everywhere else. Kinda like a loud blow-off versus a good recirc valve… sounds cool while it loses performance. 😒

@@jacobMMotorsport hahaha….. thatta boy! Lmao! NGL, that was the best sounding intake outta any car I’ve had except my old Supra. They had the right idea, just poor execution.
When you got the intake, on the website did it say it would only fit a 2013-2014 st? I have a 2017 and I’d really want to get this intake, but I just want to make sure 100% that it will fit.
So there is a difference in 2013 to 2014 regarding the MAF sensor. It’s different on those cars. So make sure you option the 2015 up one.

Hello Jacob, great video, once you go Big Turbo with this intake, "the induction noises will be more of turbo whistling spool rather than stock turbo vacuum sound" you are gonna love it even more. I'm running mine for + 2years it is the best mod after BT.

I built myself a 3.5" cowl intake for 7163efr, now im gonna build a 4" for the g35-900 on my stroker build with rs head swap on the ST.

Hows it hold up in like winter, rain etc. I live in PA we get decent winters also will it suck water in rain?
I haven’t had a problem with water. I wash my car and water doesn’t get the weather wet and also have driven in the rain multiple times. They make a water sock for it if your nervous
