1999-2000 Shaquille O'Neal was one of the greatest individual Nba has ever seen. Same class with 62' Chamberlain 92' Jordan 77' Kareem 86' Bird etc. Just invincible , you can win everything with this kind of dominance.
It's crazy how people don't mention Shaq's name when talking about the Greatest Player of the Post Jordan Era-'99-'07.....this guy was a complete fucking beast.ESPN heads always talk about Kobe or Duncan when talking about the King of the 00s but I think Shaq's performances from the playoffs '00-'05 give him the title as the best player of the 2000s.
I don't think you even gotta add the "Post Jorden Era". Dude is one of the greatest ever... period. If he wasn't so lazy and actually showed up in shape for more than 2 seasons he'd have probably been even more dominant.
+hazeddon - I agree man .. how anyone could say Duncan was better than shaq is.fucking goofy . shaq always destroyed Duncan and David Robinson .. anytime shaq caught the ball underneath it was automatic dunk or and 1 . if he could've made most.his free throws he would've easily averaged 40 a game easily .. shaq and kobe only truly played together In the 01 finals and look what happened they only lost 1 game and that was because Iverson was a fucking beast !! if shaq and kobe could've gotten along and played together your talkikg.about the best 1-2 punch ever hands down . as a matter of fact I'd take the 01 Lakers against the 96 bulls in a 7 game series ... jordan never had to guard anyone with offensive skills like kobe bryant in the playoffs but shaq would be the difference Longley couldn't stop shaq.
@Joshua Haynes it's the opposite, shaq only worked bc centers used to not be able to shoot. unskilled/poorly conditioned giants didn't just randomly disappear, they stopped being effective
@Joshua Haynes i promise you, you are wrong. hakeem would be HOF-level regardless of era but he was also extremely skilled - and, crucially, could shoot. not really evidence for your point
+The6FootPlusTree - dude your goofy . wilt played in a era whwre he was the tallest and best big man . name another center wilt faced that was as powerful as shaq ? shaq would've wore wilt down and dominated him like he did everyone man. put it this way . just imagine what shaq would've averaged I'm the 60s n 70s lol. and Bob cousy was a guard dumbass ..
+ucialum - I agree man . wilt never faced anyone near as strong as prime shaq was . shaq would wear him down and dominate .. the only center that gave shaq problems was hakeem . but shaq was still very young In the 95 finals and had just as good as stats as hakeem . but hakeem had the better team .. no way the 95 rockets beat any of shaqs Lakers championship teams no.way.

16' Curry
87’ magic
Wilt was arguably better with the 6ers than with the Warriors.
@@steff2738 His peak in volume scoring, yes.
I like this comment but id only put this season up there with bron 13 and jordan 92 and wilt 62.

well it was simply a bad decision from him and kobe to split up
The 2000 finals of Shaq was statistically the best finals performance of all time.
landwolf00 yelp i think he finished with 38-18-5
Shaq in his prime, Dwight could only dream of ever playing at his level.
he got a chance with lebron
@@MagicJBalla21 what are u smoking? Dwight has a chance of playing like Shaq is in this video right now????
Shaq is underrated, and so are many others these days.... or maybe it's just others are being OVERRATED!
How he was so quick and powerful and committed all at the same time is crazy...
Kobe should've won 2000 finals MVP. He got 15 ppg on 36%, the best finals performance in NBA history according to Kobe fans.
Huh
Mid range jumper by shaq. Too much to handle.
Im picking shaq as my center hands down mde
kenpachiclay11 no doubt man .. if im starting a team id take prime shaq over anyone ever . Even phil jackson said that
Unbelievable series by Shaq. He was so dominant that his performance completely overshadowed Austin Croshere's wizardry.
'that's why your big men have to be able to make shots, to get him out of there' - doug collins predicting the future of the nba

Haawww maaa Gaaaddd 38 and 16!!!!!! Damnnn
how do u guard that so fucking dominant.
impossible to stop
Can you do 2001 and 2002 too?
too bad shaq didn't stayed his whole career in the lakers, he and kobe would have won much more
Mihael if kobe wouldve accepted the robin role they wouldve won from 00 until 07 easily.
Lakers traded him 'coz he got too fat. If he had stayed at 320-330 they might have twice as many championships.
Money Shaq's contract ended in 2003 he signed a 3yr 88 million extension in 2000, Going into 2003-04 season LA was trying not to pay Shaq that money.
Shaq the best
Shaq > ad
qqwwee246 easy not even close
@ his best

whos watching this in 2021?

Almost
"Arguably the most dominant season in NBA history", lol that's a good one. Shaq was dominate, but to say he is the most dominate ever, not even close.
But who would be able to stop Shaq in the post, in his prime?
Come on now Wilt played against all 6'9 guys, could never beat Russell
+The6Footplustree bob Cousy was 6 ft 1...
