i think the reason why people say that game sonic is still above goku is due to the fact that, while game sonic is limited by the games in order to make them fun, if you got by the lore or something he still did some pretty busted things, in generations tails stated that both sonic's run, they restore time by just they're speed, and no they did not go through the levels like the game, they restored the timeline by just they're speed giving both immeasurable speed, and of course the infamous sonic character they used to scale sonic is solaris, Eggman stated that solaris is a super dimensional being that was going to erase the sonic multiverse, and sonic's verse contains the dream stone from sonic shuffle, which turns dreams into worlds in a 4th dimensional space, the fact that solaris was going to erase everything including that is what made sonic so strong even in game form, and the fact the end from frontiers said that all of sonic's past villains are weak compared to him is saying something, and starfall super sonic was able to beat with is a little bit of help from eggman, so yeah, game sonic is still busted despite being limited by the games itself.

With at least one Chaos Emerald, Sonic can perform Chaos Control just like Shadow, as he has done so with a fake emerald in Sonic Adventure 2.

I once read comment that made the argument that Xeno (The Current most powerful entity in DBS) is the only one that can be compared to Solaris, as he has similar multiverse wiping capacities. There is an entire hierarchy of divine beings that Goku would need to surpass before he could even touch beings comparable to Xeno. Super Sonic on the hand, only needed Super Shadow and Super Silver's help because defeating Solaris required that he be stoped in the past, present and future at the same time, otherwise each one of could tussle with Solaris and win.

Sonic fought Solaris in the present as Shadow fought Solaris in the past, and Silver in the future.
Sonic > Infinite > Solaris > Time Eater. 😐

If Shadow and Silver weren’t there, then Sonic wouldn’t be able to defeat Solaris because Solaris exists in all three points in time and without Shadow and Silver, they wouldn’t be able to beat Solaris, and even after that Sonic had to extinguish the flame of Solaris which completely erased the events of Sonic 06 from the timeline

Not gonna talk about how strong Sonic characters are, but about how strong DBS characters are because I think sometimes people forget how absurd and nonsense their feats are
We already start at bog with Goku and Beerus being capable of destroying the universe just by hitting their fists (and if we take in consideration some guides this is actually a multiversal feat as the otherworld and I think the Supreme Kai world scaled to be as big as the universe by their own), in the u6 and u7 Goku surpasses Hit's time skip, in Black Goku's saga Vegeta destroys the time chamber which is a whole empty infinite dimension
Then Goku Black with his ki scythe rips a hole in time-space and then manipulates it to create clones of himself, and when Zamasu body is destroyed he does not only become one with the universe but with the multiverse and he was ripping through time and space to become the other timelines multiverses, a very interesting thing is that Goku implies that if he snd the others were recovered they could fight this muliversal Zamasu
If this wasn't crazy enough, Jiren is stated to be the strongest rival the characters have fought up to the TOP, so he's even stronger than this muliversal timeline Zamasu and Jiren's also stated to have surpassed the concept of time as Vados said
Also many characters like Goku and Toppo makes the World of void shakes just by powering up (which is stated to be a infinite empty dimension as well), and MUI Goku seems to even make a whole galaxy or something in this empty world
Later feats have Broly and Gogeta being so strong that they literally rip through time and space and change to anoher dimension mid fight, the Moro and Granolah arcs don't have as much crazy feats because the manga continuity is not as strong and absurd as the anime story, but current characters like Granolah, Gas, UI Goku, UE Vegeta, Beast Gohan and maybe even Orange Piccolo are FAR stronger than TOP characters, and Black Frieza is at LEAST some hundred or thousand times stronger than current characters as he oneshots both UI Goku and UE Vegeta at the same time and it's implied he's stronger than Gogeta Blue as well
When the last arcs get adapted it's gonna be a whole hella crazy ride for the anime continuity power again, this characters are not only multiversal since kinda early dbs but also they are beyond time-space, so don't talk like Sonic characters just destroy dbs characters because there's a real debate here
I think part of it comes to one question, is Solaris more powerful than Zeno or not?

It's not even about the early universe destroying feat, but the constant time-space warping they do, like I said Vegeta even destroys the time chamber at Black Goku arc, and Infinite Zamasu is not only multiversal but multitime or whatever you could call it snd since Jiren tier every character is way beyond that Zamasu
Also just to show that bog feat is still relevant, you just have to remember Kefla literally states she feels she can destroy a universe (which is actually a lowball as well bc she's multiversal)
If you want an explanation of why they don't destroy universes and stuff, besides "ki control" it's just bc of plot, the story can't go on if that happens, and that's from dbz bc since at least namek arc every fight should kinda just DESTROY earth

1:33 thing is, this is a misconception. According to DBZ: Kakarot, Piccolo used magic to make it appear as if the moon was destroyed.
DBZ: Kakarot may not entirely be canon, but we can use it’s elements to fill in the gaps. The sub-stories and Encyclopedia in DBZ: Kakarot were written by Toriyama himself, and Piccolo using magic on the moon is an entry, therefor making that the canonical explanation. Piccolo never destroyed the moon.
Not that it’s a big feat anyways to Sonic, lol. Sonic’s still way above that and Dragon Ball in general, but I just wanted to clear that up :)
It's a retcon. game cannon dosen't overule manga/anime cannon. But yes piccolo CAN use magic.

Kakarot isn’t entirely canon, I know this, but we can use it’s sub-stories and Encyclopedia entries since they were written by Toriyama to be explanations to the Manga and what happened in-between (Kakarot is more-so canon to the manga, not the anime).
Even so the manga canon is over the game canon, but that's not even the real point because full power Roshi also destroyed the moon in early db and early dbz Piccolo is much stronger

This is probably the best use of the ubiquitous JUS style of MUGEN characters, the GBA sonic games had some really good animations and sprites but they're so low res. Thankfully Jump Ultimate Stars has similarly sized sprites, so it's a match made in heaven.
One of the most badass things Cumber has done was not only CORRUPT SSJ2 CC GOKU WITH JUST HIS AURA, BUT ALSO IN SSJ3 BEAT SSJB KAIOKEN CC VEGITO
