  • In this video we install the engine head, We start off by setting the pushrod tube clearance for proper fit, each of the two tubes have two type of seals an oring on top and on bottom is a silicone seal and we get the proper fit and go over that process then we set the wedding band retainers properly. Then we move on to the copper head gasket and show how to properly anneal it. Then we install the head and talk about some head bolt history, we hope you enjoy this informative video of this restoration as we keep moving forward with it.

I have that tool but I didn't know it was made for going through the top of the rocket box to re-torque the head bolt. Glad I went back and watched this video again. I'm doing a top end on a 78 Bonneville, mainly to put new gaskets and pushrod tube seals on it. These videos have been really helpful. I ordered the larger washers for the head bolts....and I took my rocker boxes apart to reverse the thackery washers, which the last owner had put on incorrectly.

    Great Channel and video's
You guys need a medal for restoring this old Triumph 71 Tiger 650
    It's a wonder there's another left,
They are so rubbish and badly put together originally,
No wonder the British bike industry stopped LOL 😅
    Jesus,
    Again great stuff guys 👍
    Cheers Paul 👌

Nice work, where do you get the assorted white seals for the push rod tubes from and do you have a part number?
    Many thanks

Actually no with out heavy modifications to your frame, otherwise no it won't just fit infact each model has their own individual style of frame like the
      200 Cub
      250 Tiger
      500 Trophy, Tiger, Daytona
      650 trophy, tiger, Bonneville
The motors from a 650 or 750 twins can fit in each other's frame but those to my knowledge are the only ones that can.
