People who listen to pop music think classical music is boring, and people who listen to classical music think pop music is boring. I mean, he's playing by ear without perfect pitch, anyone would sound like that playing anything. Under the same circumstances

@@rdevries3852 i mean, depends on the extent. Id say probably just because unless you've memorized pitches or have been a musician a long time, that'd be pretty much impossible without perfect pitch.
On guitar it's hard to say because of the fact that a lot of guitar music is based around chords, which are much more recognisable than a single pitch, but maybe.
@William Fryburger naw, if you hear a note and can reproduce it on an instrument without lookin around for it, you knew what the note was. Hence memorized.

I wasn't talking about Brett. If you'd look for 2 seconds you'd see i was responding to someone else who said they weren't a musician but could reproduce music by ear. Almost no non-musicians can reproduce a song with relative pitch.

At one point, Brett just started playing a classical piece.
When Brett doesn't have perfect pitch but still can tell some of the notes, and his brain still managed to process both the melody and the accompaniment at the same time... Now I feel like a fool here, can't even tell a single note by hearing it.
It is pop music tho... known for only 1 chord or 2 played repeatedly
And it is good if you know music theories

U can do it to! Its called relative pitch :D it requires alot of training like doing scales etc but eventually youll get it :)

LOL He did relatively well which is obvious since he knows how to play the piano. But he didn't transcribe the songs as neatly as Eddy in the other video. When Eddy transcribed the music, he was able to nail most of the melody where I was able to recognize some of the songs (at least the ones I have heard of before.) While Brett managed to get the chords, he didn't nail the melody as cleanly. But half of the factor could be he doesn't really know the songs that well...
