This is a very interesting project. I have been using the VT-4 in my live gig for background vocals, and it is an amazing box. I also needed some outboard control for it, and ended up getting a MIDI CC pedal that I can use to fade in/out my background vocals. And, instead of building a box as you did (which is cool, btw!) I created a virtual pad controller on my iPad which lets me hit one of 12 "pads" to select which key I want to be in for a song, and makes it much easier to change keys on the fly than their little dial on the unit itself. If you use Bluetooth midi it then can be used without a cable to control the VT-4. Congrats on coming up with a novel way to control the box via hardware! I guess I took the software approach to solve the same overall puzzle!🤣

I never would have guessed what this would be because the button threw me off. I would have been thinking latching instead of momentary but you had yet to pull the trigger ... haha. Oh and between me and you ... NAVBot is a NEWB! 😆

That's correct. You make the patch on the VT-4 and this box will select it.

I have a question.
I want to buy 4 units of the E4 for the 4 singers in my band. For the next show we want to have a midi time line in each song that activates and deactivates effects on the E4 independently. In other words, is it possible to activate different Effects in E4 via midi? For example , in E4(1) activate a Vocoder, and E4(2) a reverb.

Hypothetical question - if I used a box like this to disguise my voice because I've kidnapped some pedigree ferrets and I'm calling the owner demanding a ransom, would the police be able to filter out the effect and uncover my true voice? Aside from being hypothetical I'm asking this question for a friend. I know this has nothing to do with the video but would it also be a good idea to turn off my Caller ID when making the ransom call, I mean if my friend was hypothetically making this type of call?
