  • I was in the travellers' area of Khao San Road in Bangkok this afternoon, spreading the word about the new travel novel iofthesun.com/ when US President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and their motorcade drove past on nearby Ratchadamnoen Road.
They were driving from the Democracy Monument (off camera) on the left, towards Wat Po Temple. In the background is the 14 October 1973 Memorial.
They are in Bangkok for one day on their Southeast Asian trip, President Obama's first foreign trip since his election victory. Tomorrow they will visit Burma.
I hope nobody minds the blatant and unrelated book plug! Thanks.

Good luck with your new book, IoftheSun. :-) I'm Thai American & I live in the U.S. Thanks for your uploaded video of President Barack Obama & Secretary of State Hillary Clinton passing by in motorcade in Bangkok. Thailand is one of the friendliest countries in world. Most of my relatives live there. I'm glad that Obama is visiting Thailand before Thanksgiving. It's important to maintain communication & build strong friendships with Southeast Asian countries as Thailand, Myanmar, & Cambodia.
