They sound angelic. This is the way our church praise the Lord. Divine and pure at heart, like this children of God. Magnificent!!. Awesome, amazingly beautiful.
its ta Knig's LOL... welll i don't comment on Rutter.. hes such a blessing to the world... i ve sung it thrice and every time it is new to me.... OMG i ca n szing it again and itll be new and ill cry again.... thank yu lord
I agree 100 percent. This is REAL singing, REAL music-making, as opposed to the Disney-Broadway-pop crap most American kids are given to learn today. Every teen today wants to be a pop star and they think they can just step up to a microphone and it will happen. They don't know that real work is involved in any kind of music-making.
John Rutter's best carol, I think. Very untypical of his usual faux-pop style. Done it with my choir... indeed the last page is a bit tricky, but totally worth it.
Broadway used to be on the dot with producing real music and real shows. I dunno what the heck happened to them in the recent years. Ditto with Disney. The Disney of today I don't even consider to be Disney anymore. Poor Walt must be spinning in his grave over what has happened. I grew up in a family of musicians, so I know what real music is supposed to sound like (my mom for example was tutored at Julliard on piano when she was only 6). This piece and group are part of it.
10 people actually gave this a thumbs down???? You're all monsters.
One recognises beauty when heard. A carol for the ages. It will be celebrated two hundred years from now.
I agree with John Merrick: I am in total awe of the dying cadences in the work; what incredible beauty! How can anyone dislike this?????
so beautiful, peaceful, like snow falling every time I listen to this choir of all choirs!

Really wonderful, rewarding with this piece and beauty voices. Thank you, good moment.
Utterly beautiful. I have just heard this sung at Tewkesbury Abbey and I sat there totally spellbound. Thank you for posting this wonderful carol.
Speechless..totally speechless some compositions touch your soul. Astoundingly beautiful. Graham Daw Yorkshire.
I listen to this most days and never tire of it. beautiful.
His best piece, in my humble opinion!

Alcester Community Choir in Alcester, SD. We are DOING IT.....
Gods that ending is ruddy hard to sing. I'm singing it in choir and those kids must all have perfect pitch or something to get that ending right.
Stupendo. A mio parere Rutter qui ha superato se stesso. Da brividi la progressione finale discendente che il Coro ha reso con la consueta perfezione.

Neither would most kids in Britain, though, to be fair?
