"There's a bunch of air yards for those nerds..." I'M DYING LOLOLOL
haha - I came here to make the same comment. Killed me!
Has a Patreon - still drops 40 free minutes of gold on YT. You a true dawg, Tim!
Bo’s composure was so impressive. Happy to see the kid play well after a couple of tough games!
His 2 minute drill at the end was perfect composure and just threw it away to still set up a fg....im optimistic we got our guy!
Victory formation with a rookie QB is just... the best.
Notice on the first pass how he doesn’t stare Sut down, looks right for like 3 seconds before the throw love to see it
Tim couldn’t wait to get this one out
You are a favorite in broncos country
wow over 40 minutes? that deserves more than just an FTA. Thanks Tim, awesome breakdown
Dude, I’ve got to tell you: This is one of the BEST breakdowns I have ever seen! I just stumbled across you and damn glad I did. You’ve got me hooked bro. I will religiously follow your takes. Thank you so much for 40 minutes of really good film study and entertainment. Kudos bud.
As someone who works as a full time data scientist (yes I'm one of those nerds), I totally agree with Tim about advanced stats - if simply looking at air yards or whatever it doesn't paint the whole picture and we cannot assume that it does.
Even with heaps of data we cannot assume that they lead to wins, it's a trap about the cause effect relationship. To infer something like "you win more games BECAUSE you throw more air yards" is almost always wrong. We can probably only arrive at conclusions like "top teams TEND TO have stat A being this value and stat B being this value", serving as a guidance, but nothing more than that
There's a popular concept in statistics/analytics which says "all models are wrong, some are useful". Definitely applies to this topic as well
It's pretty cool seeing the Bronco's WR's get excited for the young rookie's play-making ability already. They're snagging big catches and spinning the ball afterwards (both Reynolds and Sutton) and they're engaged in the game plan. Good stuff from the Bronco's.
lol you just make shit up
@@devyngourdin5204 Did you take the time to watch the darn video?
That first throw of the game for Bo is so underrated court was not open at all and Bo threw him open with a back side throw near the sideline where if it was anywhere else it’s not a catch. When I saw that throw I was like he’s locked in today feels good to finally have a QB who can make throws anticipating that a wr will be open instead of waiting for one to get open
Love that you are doing breakdowns again! With a lot of people covering Bo Nix film. With your experience with defense , it would be awesome to see a break down on the D!
Tim is just the best! Thanks for the break down. Love it!
Tim-absolutely love your breakdowns. It’s really great to see a game like this for Bo. Can only increase his confidence, and he’s already a pretty confident QB. Love that Courtland finally got into the action. Great work!
One his best breakdowns yet, great work Tim!
Tim you're incredible! Thank you for doing these I learn so much about offense from these!
Couldn't wait to see this video while watching the game yestereday!
Hits so much different after a win
Love that victory formation! May it be the first of many to come!!
I look forward to these every week! Thank you!
Broncos fan here
I tune each week
Absolutely love your work
Tom dropping 40min videos.. Love it!!
Your videos really help me learn so much
Great breakdown Tim! Fun to watch your analysis.
Thanks for the breakdown. Excellent take.
I like your channel. I am learning a lot from you. Thanks man
Huge jump from my boy Bo I felt a good game before it started
LOVE THE LONG VIDEO!!! More!!!
First time seeing your video. Awesome! Loved it. To hunt with the ball. Good stuff.
If nothing else it makes watching the Broncos more exciting which is nice after the last "couple" years
FTA - thanks Tim!
finally some optimism, yay
good analysis as usual
Thanks again for the great breakdown!
Great breakdown as always!
FTA! Love the breakdown as always Tim!!!
great vid as always, thanks for sticking with reviewing broncos tape all these years. the so close hey so far broncos offence is finally showing what can happen when things go right.
The best football content creator there is. FTA
This game was the most fun I have had watching a Broncos game since the game against the Texans in 2019. Bo was so accurate, and HM to Riley Moss, dude silenced a lot of the haters.
Great breakdown man. 40 min.. thank you
Nice break down as always, Tim.
Great videos! last week you didn't like all the short stuff and liked when they pushed it down the field more in the 2H vs Pittsburgh. So whether you're aware of it or not you were calling for a higher ADOT and the offense definitely looks better with it.
Great breakdown as always! We're lucky to have you doing these breakdowns
Such great stuff, Tim! Thank you!
QB1
SP tweaked the game plan.
Loved seeing it esp the back shoulder passes (great if the WR doesn't have the speed advantage), more RPOs, higher tempo.
Great to see it cause TB opened with 8 men in the box.
I do agree with the optimism comment at the end xD even after the 5 game win streak last year i still did not feel good after most of those wins. Felt like we just barely scraped by despite looking bad on offense the whole time with our vet qb
My daughter graduated from the UO this year and I knew he was gonna be good. I absolutely knew he was gonna be a starting NFL quarterback.
Thank you Tim for your insight.
I think Sean’s finally realizing what he thought easing Bo in is actually hindering and restricting him more than anything. Starting to see better play calls and letting Bo do his thing and attack more vertically, also the run game was much better this game which helps immensely.
Great stuff as always Tim.
A quick note from 9mins 30 - I get your comment about the 12 personnel and splitting out the RB and TE to get mismatches, but the irony is that the guy covering Javonte is actually a starting CB (Dean, #35). Therefore, I have absolutely no idea why he's like 10 yards off him ....
The mismatches from Denver's perspective would have been to the top of screen where both WRs were (and a LB was split out over the slot WR); I guess Bo just saw Dean stood basically in the stands and thought, fuck it, just toss it to him
Love to see it! Thanks, Tim!
You absolutely Rock. love is stuff.
Those first couple of drives Bo was decisive, the ball was coming out quickly and you could see the confidence. I would tape up both of Bolles hands into a pair of clubs so he can’t grab nothing lol! 😊
amazing explanations, I feel bad the enemies (😊) r dissecting,
but great awesome air by Mr. Nix❤
Thank you Tim!! It's showtime, it's Bo time.
Couldn’t agree more Tim. Analytics are helpful but they’re also very subjective.
First time watching the cast. Dig it!
6:18 - I think it definitely puts the defense on its heels. There's a reason they kept stacking the box and didn't respect the deep ball and it's not because Bo can't throw it. I liked Bo taking the check down on the opening drive on 1st and 10 and staying ahead of the sticks. We also saw how taking some shots opened up our running game later in the game.
Great breakdown!
Nice to have a good day to review isn't it.
So much progression from our offense
Thanks Tim
It's a process.
If you look closely he was as composed the exact same as he did in the last two games but now he is decisive on time and spontaneous when he needed to be.
loved the play calls and again we saw improvement from bo. theyve got yet ANOTHER tough defense next week and i think sean should again take it too them. hope they build off of this big win
Defense is solid. Teams are doing well. Offense is coming alive. This team is showing progress every week. Lost the first two games by one score to teams that are both 3-0 and have good defenses. We are only going as far as Nix can take us.
“At a certain point you build up a lead and we don’t have to keep doing it [aggressive deep plays].” Bingo.
I think they are only a couple plays away in the first 2 games to bo having 3 good games. This was obviously more aggressive but I think the coaches have seen the ability and now have opened up more things for the offense . Run game still needs work. We have to be able to run early and often. Great breakdown.
Listen to Bo Nix explain how he does everything possible to help his lineman avoid holding penalties.. Bo Nix is fully aware and is the first quarterback I've ever heard talk about protecting his lineman from those penalties..
Love it!
Play calls came in quick
The O line blocked their ass off
And Bo picked them apart
Amazing what good pockets and quick play calls can do
He had time to read the defense
Two TDs in one quarter! Its like were a medium okay offense again!
In my opinion he wasn't horrible the first two games. The O line was garbage. They woke up yesterday and he did well. Bo looked so good. So nice! I hope he builds on it
That first Nix rushing TD had Super Bowl 32 Elway bootleg written all over it. Could've thrown it to the back but decided to eliminate the chance of a drop by just getting to the corner.
Tim you’re the man, love your videos. But please even up the hoodie strings next time 😅
Lil’Jordan Humphrey is such a DAWG.
FTA. 6.5 point dogs won by 19. Love to see it. Bolieve!!
The first 2 weeks they played really good defenses, but i kept seeing when Bo was allowed to be agressive he could move the sticks downfielsd. He needs confidence in the NFL more than anything.
Third angle views are tight!
I can't wait to see what comes out of this. I think we got the Jets next so let's see how we do there. 😅
If this isnt just a one off scenario where he just had a good game, this is ACTUAL growth, not fake growth like Caleb defenders are claiming Caleb is showing.
the most shocking thing about the pass out The End Zone to LJ is the fact that a Denver wide receiver finally fought to create yards after the catch.. the Denver wide receivers that actually have the ability for yards after catch are finally starting to get some targets Mims, Franklin and Vele will create some YAC as well. Unfortunately Denver's RBs cant generate ybc and WRs cant create YAC. Sean Payton must allow the younger guys to play because no offense in the NFL can rely on wide receivers that basically are stopped 100 percent of the time at the catch point.. after watching every other team with even mediocre wide receivers creating three or four yards and Denver's are horrible in that department
FTA but ill add it was nice to see the W, lets go Bo!.
FTA!
Awesome
Classic Bo Nix enjoyer
FTA FTB!
For those who question his arm strength he has an NFL arm , those throws to the sideline from the far hash mark show that
You rule Tim
he does stare down his receivers
Your take in analytics makes sense. I liken it to the modern music industry and their incessant pitch correction, or worse, auto tune.
They are taking a natural human voice, which is a natural instrument that is impossible to create a perfect unwavering putch down to the hertz. But that's the beauty of the voice. Even those with perfect pitch hearing still can't reproduce a perfect pitch voice. Which is why the voice is so amazing and every singer is different. But music producers look at the pitch as represented in a computer screen and see the imperfections as a problem.
As Fil from Wings of Pegasus ince said about this:
They are looking at music with their eyes, not listening with their ears.
This is my thoughts in the overuse of analytics. They are looking at a steril spread sheet instead of watching human beings play football.
Love this. Liked and subscribed. Thanks
FTA Good analysis
Her didn't just grow up overnight the potential was always there. The first 2 games his OL gave him little to no protection. In the Tampa bay game they performed a lot better, consequently so did BO. Even the greatest quarterbacks to play the game have all suffered in their play when faced with constant pressure.
let's have a day team!
Tim how do quarterbacks do that? How do they "feel pressure from behind?" Is it peripheral vision seeing him coming from the side? Can he hear him? Or is it more so just timing?
bro nix is a legend
Everyone is all up in arms about Javonte, he ain’t gaining yards, he fumbled… blah blah blah. Who made the play saving blocks of the first drive??? Was it estime? Was Jaleel? Was it Tyler??? No it was Williams. He is our best blocking back period. He can catch and in the open feels have fun stopping him… open your eyes. The best friend to a rookie qb is a good running back who can do everything. Stop with the hate
Probably not enough air yards lol
On that incomplete to Sutton that should have been a TD, Alex Palzcewski gets Nix hit hard because he is too slow to kick out to the get the edge rusher.
