Every shop needs a Bob! His attention to detail and foresight into safety concerns is awesome! Not many builders go above safety standards let alone beyond! You can tell he takes pride in his work and he cares about the people that are gonna be in the build!
That seat would work great for me. I lost both my legs above the knees at my job in 1993. I was smashed between a pick-up an wrecker i was driving, By a semi an drug down the hwy 213 ft. . But I can't do it I have a dr appointment Nov 1. be great to ride along with Tom. I don't have my NHRA lic know more. I raced pro mod 5 yrs. As long as I get to drive it one time. J/K. about driving it. would love to get back into racing again. I know I didn't win the wagon wish I would have. LOve your channel Tom.
Sorry to hear about your accident. But there’s got to be a way to rig up a race car so you could drive again. All ya would need is a hand brake like what’s in a dragster (Top Fuel) and a electronic throttle control on the steering wheel maybe. Look to see ya out here again!
Have a look into the chairslayers foundation, Rob designed very good steering wheel controls (clutch control and all) for drifting. I have no doubt a system could be made for drag racing. We had a local guy here in Australia a while back compete at our version of drag week with steering wheel controls.
Can you drive a trailer over Hoover Dam? The Hoover Dam does allow most recreational vehicles and trailers to visit. There are a few vehicles that are not allowed, such as commercial semi-trucks, double-stacked trailers, and end-enclosed box trucks. The full guidelines for what vehicles are or are not allowed can be seen on this Crossing Guide.
Nice tank but a quick question. How does the fuel get past the safety check valve while filling the tank? if it is being kept closed in the up right position. no fuel will pass it unless you push it open.
Check valves are designed to flow in one direction and block flow the other direction. There’s plenty of rudimentary drawings on the web which illustrate how they work. Pretty simple stuff, been around for decades.
Its still really loose and the fuel will simply push it open and flow right on past it. He just tightened the spring up a little to close the big gap it had.
@@warrenmichael918 It's not loose, listen to it snap back when he is holding it at a 45 degree angle. it needs a gap of at least a 1/4" in order for the fuel to flow by.
Hey Bob, how much pressure is going to be needed to push the flap open inside the tank? Wouldn't the hose from the window to the flap always have some fuel trapped in it? Just wondering.
Looks like great fun ahead ( lol).. Nice work Bob, (and words about decrepit old Tom ) but one question : how much will that tank hold ? I am sure you have that all figured out though. Thanks for the update.
That's the fill path, and the "loose jenky" flapper is supposed to be open with gravity and rush shut from fuel if it rolls over... so that will be coming back apart to put the 1/4 gap back in.....
You folks are gonna which you had stayed away from California. That state and some cities and counties are draconian when it comes to street/Race cars and pew pews. Trust me…Been down that road with that state.
If that drones anything like the Flowmasters on a friend's V8 Blazer, you couldn't pay me $600 to ride in it. I had to ride from Okc to Tulsa in the back and came down with a mild case of PTSD.
If youre talking about the EJ questions, they arent thirsty as much as curious. At least when i asked in another video they werent. Im an old married dude with grandkids and i was asking where she went also. She was becoming a decent sized character in these videos and getting some driving time and out of nowhere, shes gone and never mentioned again. Just kinda weird i guess.
CHP watching this and drooling over seizing your rides for modified exhaust and fining everyone 8k...your not thinking smart but will make great content😅 😅😅😅😅
theyve already outlawed abo9ut everything else. i dont think this matters, but they all run the risk of getting popped for modified vehicles by the califoofoo popo!
i think Bob needs to get behind the wheel of something fast again and have some fun you deserve it

What happened to EJ??? She has not been seen in a video for a long time.
Still waiting for the EJ proof of life video...
Tom, people obviously want to know where EJ is. We need an update. Also, what is the deal with 2.0.
Yes I was kind of wondering where E J was too it doesn't seem the same without her running around here and there

Where is EJ? Haven’t seen her in awhile!
PsychoSantaBob's fabrication skills are incredible.
I like that Bob is worried about doubling up on safety good job Bob! When I was a kid Dad drove a 54 Caddy through that tree Tom was talking about.
What happened to EJ?
What have you guys done with EJ? She doesn't seem to have been in anything for weeks now? 🤔
Out getting face tattoos, that will be hot.
Probably still grounded for the wheelies
She has been fired.
@@tdenver68 how do you know that?
Probably back to doing vehicle wraps
Man, I can't believe EJ quit over the Gasser giveaway. Actually I can.
Add some mounts and build a roof rack system that has fold/drop down legs that you can drive out from under.
What have you guys done with E.J did you guys get rid of her. Haven’t seen her on any videos in a while now.

Hell yeah I’m excited to see this death week run. Come on let’s go Bailey crew.
The forest thing isn’t that bad to turn around. But you’re right, driving through the tree isn’t so much any more.
Love your channel Tom. Doing all the fun stuff.
Great job as always Bob!!
When did EJ get the BOOT 👢?
I can remeber a time when Tom would address peoples questions.
He’s anyone heard what’s going on with ej,she hasn’t been around for a while

Bob deserves to be the driver for the Durango
809 Last summer we did Europe in nine days! Then we went to Bakersfield, then we ended up in Fresno. Fresno? No one goes to Fresno anymore!
put a ball valve in the fuel fill line @ the tank..... get fancy and add a pull/push handle near the fill port....(think remote battery cut off)
I always learn something from Bobby thanks. Bobby thinks Tom is old i am so old dirt calls me daddy.
Where have you been hiding EJ?
Have they said a single thing about her or the dart since she came down hard at dragnights??
@@markfullerton7174 nope not that I've seen
@Bob When i seen you grab the muffler i thought it was your whiskey tin for your back pocket ! lol
Just thinking but a 10k 4 wheel drive van would be fun on deathweek but what class and diesel
E85 if far and few between out here in Az. Over cool it and you'll be OK!
Where is EJ! ??
Nice tank but a quick question. How does the fuel get past the safety check valve while filling the tank? if it is being kept closed in the up right position. no fuel will pass it unless you push it open.
The weight of the fluid opens the valve that's how they work

@@JL-hh8lf it snapped back because it has a spring on it. He also said in the video that it wasnt tight and that it still has a gap.
What up with E J thanks for the share
EJ EJ EJ EJ WHERE HAS EJ GONE !! With waldo
She is with Richie's brother from Happy Days.
Hey Bob, how much pressure is going to be needed to push the flap open inside the tank? Wouldn't the hose from the window to the flap always have some fuel trapped in it? Just wondering.

One day that passing car is going to be a undercover snapping pics...
Where did ej go?
Where is EJ at?
youcant--Behind the preposition at.
I don't know but I think you will have trouble getting fuel in with the shutoff closed. Just saying.
How to pack? Forgetting about a roof rack / roof cargo holder?
Worked at saqqara, King canyon national park for a year and half back in 1989.
Still didn't kearn how to spell it.
Just like you can’t spell Learn
Don't forgit his handicap mirror hangar thingy too...😏
I've finally gotten into drag and drive but I'm not sure 2000 miles is a good idea!
cant drive through the tree. thats it, im out! LOL
What Happen to EJ , where has she been?
That fuel tank is going to be slow to fill given the air escape path is restricted by 2 check valves.
That's the fill path, and the "loose jenky" flapper is supposed to be open with gravity and rush shut from fuel if it rolls over... so that will be coming back apart to put the 1/4 gap back in.....
May I ask what town or city & state your shop at? Head by Detroit Michigan area .
From Flint Michigan Gordon WALKER
You folks are gonna which you had stayed away from California. That state and some cities and counties are draconian when it comes to street/Race cars and pew pews. Trust me…Been down that road with that state.
100 % gonna get them po po or registry 15 min fame seized hot rods and 8k fines😅

Remember 91 octane is about all you're going to find
You got to have motor that not light! Hehe
I'll come, I'm only 5'7 so I'll fit in fine 😂🇦🇺
Bob the builder. Deth week mean no one finishes it lol betting they don't finish
Driving thru Bakersfield? You'd better take a squeegee, them bugs are bad.
I'd stay away from California in future drag and drives. Could get alot of these guys in trouble for having no exhaust or cats. 😅 Cali gone soft.
Did you take Barona off the trip?
Goes out the driver's passenger side window?
Get a couple of yuppie roof pods...
California! You guys r all getting arrested
855 " I don't want to mess with a ( small ) trailer " Says the guy that drives a motor home towing a stacker trailer. .. . . .
How many gal. Fuel tank ??

It is going to take two days to fill that gas tank.
Roof racks mate….pack it all on top
Sounds is if you need a day or so to get the cars out of impound if the California traffic cops are as strict as some folks suggest.
100 % going to happen
More like 30 days
CHP watching this and drooling over seizing your rides for modified exhaust and fining everyone 8k...your not thinking smart but will make great content😅 😅😅😅😅
OK LOOKS LIKE YOU GOT RID OF EJ , SHAME ON YOU
So Cali has that pending legislation allowing communities to outlaw muscle cars, you guys will tip that thing in favor of passing!
