I have a fiber Optic Snowman with same set up. I took apart the wires but not sure now how to wire it back up with the new motor. Not sure what I am doing. Any chance you have a wiring diagram? Does it matter which of the 3 wires go where?
Maybe it's the fact that the power supply is a DC version, and those motors are usually AC motors. Do you still have the old power supply to read the details off?
Hi Jodi. Yes I'd love to help. Do you refer to the actual fibers themselves or to the colour wheel and motor? All that kinda stuff can be sourced from the famous auction site beginning with e. And also the famous site from China starting wit Ali. Text back..
Are you taking about the ends that were closest to the bulb end? They seem more orange than the other ends that are at the end of the light? Trimming the bad ends off and resetting them into the base seems like the only option, but it might be difficult to perform. (Hot glue gun ready)
Hello. Could you please help me. My motor don't work, when r connect, just getting hot. The motor got a sticker whit 12v 1.5/2 w i got a charger 12v 1.5w...
Hello. Yes not only does the volts & the watts need to be correct, but also AC or DC needs to be addressed. From experience, those motors are usually AC. A DC won't work.
Very informative and easy to follow! Great work
Thanks for you feedback Cillian
I sure wish I can mail you mine and have you fix it
@@stephenjordan7647 you can if you wish. The postal address would be in n.ire/UK.
Or I could guide you on fixing it yourself
What size of bulb did you use? I didn’t understand.

Is there I can buy a new motor or any of the accessories?
Yes you can buy AC synchronous motors of the bidding site & the china site too
Motors need the correct power unit to work properly. Usually AC not DC
Do you know where I can buy a new motor or the whole thing lamp as well
The motor, yes on that popular bidding website.. type in the details it says in your motor. For instance...
12vac synchronous motor 7.5 rpm 1.2 - 2W
@mrhynes1684 thank you
I have an old fiber optic snowman, my father in law put in a new bulb. I have replaced the power supply but the motor doesn’t want to turn now.

Hi I bought a replacement power adapter for a fibre optic christmas tree online. It worked for five minutes and then stopped.
Sorry to hear. Maybe your bulb is drawing too much current for the power supply you bought. Send me some facts and figures

Also make sure the shaft of the motor which holds the color wheel is the correct length. They usually come in sizes like 33m, 35mm, 46mm, 74mm etc.
