- Bass cover of "December (again)" by Neck Deep. This band definitely has some great songs but it is such a pain covering artists on Hopeless Records due to their copyright policy. I was going to make this public on December 9th but had to dispute the video and that process takes some time. Enjoy the cover!

I love so many Hopeless Records bands but it's annoying how strict their copyright policy is. I know Blake McConnell had to drop a pitch or two on some of his Neck Deep covers to get around it.
Yeah I posted covers of Yellowcard & All Time Low in 2013 and they did pretty well but a year later Hopeless Records went on a rampage and blocked everything lol. Now I try avoid covering any songs released on Hopeless Records lol.
Nice! I used to play this song a lot on bass a few years ago and this makes me want to play it again. It's a fun, but relaxing song to play lol

All of Hopeless Records songs get copyright claimed. To get it public you have to appeal the copyright claim. It usually works but I wouldn't try to do it too often since you can get a strike on your channel or termination of your account

Glad to hear you want to pick up bass! Do you have a specific budget or sound you're going for? I usually recommend some of the Squier basses and more recently Harley Benton since they're great quality and super affordable.
@@MyBassistChris Thanks a bunch! I'm not sure about the sound, for I'm quite new to this and my budget is within 1000 USD.
@@nightshade4250 Oh wow that's a pretty big budget. For your first bass I wouldn't go that hard but if you have the money then maybe go for the Fender PJ Mustang. It's a short scale which is easier to learn on and it sounds pretty damn good. Most stores only have it in 3 colors but if you include the Sweetwater & Chicago Music Exchange exclusive colors there are like 10 options lol.
But first I would recommend finding out what sound you want to narrow down your bass search.
