Kiki Hokage They are our families; some of us just mask our mess a little better, have church as a facade, etc. However, the abuse, hurt, trauma-that’s all deep-seeded ish that lives in all of us. Though not an excuse, slavery set the tone for much of what we’ve gone through, and still go through.
God tends to work on our hearts through others, I feel walls coming down for sure

My heart breaks for him. His shoulders are weighted down. His depression runs deep. HEAVENLY FATHER will fix what ever may be wrong. In the mighty name of ELDER BROTHER JESUS CHRIST.
This man can hold his head high for holding himself accountable and being honest to others and himself, and being a role model showing the type of self examination and self awareness that many need to evolve. And for seeking to be the role model his kids need, which he's already being in many ways. It's never too late. And no parent is perfect. There are many social services/resources out there and I hope he'll avail himself of them and get support along this journey. And never forget the power of prayer.

He wanted to be a vessel for everyone’s pain and then take his own life to remove his pain away. But he doesn’t realize how much more pain that’ll create.
SMH I felt that just now I once sat in my moms kitchen and put the gun in my mouth and was ready to end it smh I carried soooo much I just wanted it to stop and end!!! My mother use to spit on me abuse I went days without food and even ate out of garbage!!! So I felt those words
Out of all of them he's my favorite, I like all of them but his pain and his issues are more relatable to me than the others and the fact that you can see he wants to heal and be that better person makes his story more touching

This whole family is jacked up! I appreciate that Iyanla try to help people get along but she should really be telling everyone to get rid of the toxic people in their lives not try to work things out with them!
I agree. I heard something years ago that stuck with me raising my own 4 children. You can't expect your kids to like each other just because they're related. They can be very different people and not be compatible as friends when they are grown. Expect then to have respect for each other when they come together for something but don't just expect them to be close just because you gave birth to all of them. It stayed with me because all my children are very different in their personalities beliefs and morals even though I raised them all.

It has to be renewal of the MIND!! That helped healed me. I looked at my mom and finally " observed" her with different lenses . Thats when it hit ME. How can she pour into me as a woman and mother what was never given to her!! When I learned her story i really felt bad. But I desired healing and renewal of the mind and life. God is good

I wish my family were honest enough and real enough to do something like this because we are so broken and at this point, I'm numb, but I prefer not to be. I am the only brutally honest one in the bunch and after 20 years of trying, after getting near fatally sick from the life of pretense, lies and stress, I just think the family pathology of lying will just continue after I'm dead and gone. With what time I have left, I want to be stress and lie-free if I can't at least attain happiness, which means they are largely non-factors in my day to day life. I watch Iyanla to see that some families do actively try to get better, even though mine won't, but it helps to see that it's happening for other families.

I pray for this family. I pray that you cover them under the blood of Jesus. I pray that you demand your angels concerning them Lord. I break every generational curse in the name of Jesus. I pray for healing for every offence they had to encounter and to heal their pain in the name of Jesus. I rebuke and break any evil plan and attack of the enemy. I pray Lord that you surround them with the angels of warfare and protection and that you hold them in your palm of protection. I put on the full armor of God for them and pray that everything works together for their good. Please open doors for them God, please pour your blessings and favour over them so their cups overflow Jesus. We pray for your define intervention in the name of Jesus. Touch their hearts God and connect them to someone that helps to heal that inner child in Jesus Name i pray.
