Thank you for the videos. I'm 30. Locked up for a time in a psych ward in my teens because my aunt lied about me. If you ever end up locked up anywhere, you can recover so long as you don't lose hope. They took my clothes, drugged me, and locked me in a room with no windows. At first I was happy I was alone but I awoke after the drugging to find a much taller, stronger guy had been thrown in while I was knocked out. I'm very thankful that this guy wasn't a jerk. There were no bars or windows, just a solid door and no one would hear you scream or see you if you were attacked. That was a horrible time for me. I was barely still a minor so it didn t affect my adult life. There was 1 thing, the drugs messed me up. What they used was stronger than morphine, caused memory problems, and altered my health from then on. Of course that was illegal and they got what they had coming. Still, that place was shut down after abuse was discovered. One thing there that kept me from losing it was my mother, and the isolation room. In that room there are 10 straps, you are completely unable to move, drugged, and they even put a window there that allows everyone in the common area to see you. Fortunately though I was no longer able to go to school, my boss kept my job open and accepted, even believed me when I told him the truth. The truth? My dad had been dying, and my aunt moved in next door with her 30 year old kid and his kids. After dad died from cancer after a long 9 months, she told people my mom and I beat my dad often, that I was violent, even spread it to my uncles. When he was cremated, she took his ashes and his other things. My uncle's believed me, and took them back, then handed them to me at the beach. I guess that ticked her off. I wanted to ask her, honestly, why she did these things. I just knocked on her door, and said nothing aggressive, didn't force my way in or make threats... Age just called the police and played it out like some actor, like she was abused. I pity her, and I forgive her, but I doubt I'll ever see her again.

OMG, I'm DYING listening to this. How on earth can I simultaneously be scared out of my mind, but also LMFAO?! I just fell onto APS yesterday and m hooked. (Scared, but hooked). 👍🏼
hearing your experience of Getting processed in prison reminds me of my time when i arrived to Army reception and Basic combat training. Not too many diffrences!!!
This channel randomly popped up and I had to view. Spent 3 years in USP and this explains the intake process/experience quite well. Been paroled for over 10 years now, but this hits home. To this day, I can relive these experiences and emotions to the T. It never leaves you!
I've never been to prison but spent lots of time in jail from 17 to 21. The last time I was in jail was in 1992 in which I was locked up in Kansas City county for two months. And was waiting to be transported to my town for a hearing. Well they refused to come get me and they let me out one night at 9 PM and said to get off their property or be arrested again. They told me I had two days to get to my home town in southern Missouri for court. I had no car, no money, nothing. I ended up the next morning begging for work in which I got enough for a bus ticket. I went to court with no lawyer. I went up to a lawyer in court and told him the whole deal. We;ll when my name was called that lawyer stood up and helped me. Why? I don't know because he didn't know me and didn't have to, but the Judge told me this was the last time I will stand in front of him because if he sees me again I would do 3 years in prison. And that was the last time I ever got in trouble.

Demi Marcano thank you. there certainly isn't anything glamour worthy about where I have been. I just try to inspire the youth as much as possible to avoid the sort of lifestyle I lived for so long and do so in an entertaining way.
AfterPrisonShow that's awesome and I thank you for your work. I wish someone was out there like you for my brother who has been a jail/prison bird almost his whole life. Educating yourself is the best life medicine!
I'D SAY WHEN ITS NICE OUTSIDE, THE MENU THAT DAY ISN'T TERRIBLE, GETTING COMMISSARY, MAIL, AND GETTING A GOOD WORKOUT IN THE WEIGHT PIT. (I WAS NEVER A BIG FAN OF GETTING VISITS IN PRISON, BUT MOST PEOPLE WOULD PROBABLY SAY THAT TOO.)

Being on that bus as it pulled into the gate and seeing two fences topped with razor wire and the rolls of razor wire filling the space between the fences, I found out what it feels like to be on the wrong side of all that. Not to mention the guard towers at the corners which of course are manned by guards armed with high powered rifles who will not hesitate to shoot any prisoner fool enough to be outside the fences. The feeling cannot be explained to someone who has not experienced it. Freedom is precious!!!
Finally truth. This is one of my greatest fears in life. I've lost everything. Losing freedom and staring down the barrel of both physical and sexual assault possibly daily is just overwhelming. Thank you for your honesty.
Slick was the first person not only kind enough to give you amazing tips but most likely the first person to make you laugh cause everything he told you to stay away from was everything he was dealing with lol. I really love your channel
If you are a little bit clear to everybody and dont do too though than you survive. The rest is a lot of indian-storys to show how though they were or are. Dont believe everything.
I looked up LA Public Arrest records and saw that my dad was released a few months ago. I haven't had contact with him since 2012. I found my aunt's phone number and she says he lives near her. This weekend we're driving there and I'm going to go up to him acting like I'm a stranger and watch as he realises that he's in fact talking to his son. I'm so excited. I guess I say this because you kind of remind me of him, (as a compliment), you're both cool and just grind through to make things happen. So, thank you, Joe, because you inspired me to go through arrest records. 😂😂😂
Some Cheese I was one of those "prison rich" guys. Prison rich: Someone that has a good support system outside of prison (family, friends, maybe a good savings stocked up, etc). Someone that can make a single phone call and get money on your books, get money orders sent out, get phone money put on, and yada yada... 1) You don't EVER let anyone know what you have outside or what kind of support you have. 2) you hide your good fortune from everyone else like it's a huge secret or something. 3) be very, very, VERY particular in who you hang with, who you're friends with, and how you slender your money and how you get your money. The reasons for 1 through 3 listed above, is that 99.9% of those guys in there are living on "state pay". ($15 a month is what the state gives them for working, to buy their necessities). So, the 0.01% of the guys "with money" in prison, basically control/makeup the 'prison economy'. (the amount of extra money flosting around that people buy illicit contraband with and etc).... So, you don't want anyone knowing you're set. Otherwise, you instantly become the biggest, most desired, #1 target for gangs to try and extort, fuck with, and taken advantage of. So, yeah, nothing says prison is awesome like a pack of 40 Gangster Deciples rolling up on you ready to kill you unless you pay $500/mo to the gang. lol (that never happened to me, but I know plenty of dudes that shit like that happened to over pennies... literally over litreral-fuckinngggg-pennies dude... Like, dudes getting stabbed up because the had $40 worth of commissary on them. (that's like walking around with $4k on you in prison). So, yeah... Any questions, feel free to ask.
the kidd Prison was absolutely scary. You pull up to the gates and you have this huge rush of adrenaline hit you like, "Fuck... I'm really here, it's really going down..." lol. But, I'm a pretty decent built 6'3" dude with tattoos from head to toe, sleeved out, neck/throat all tattooed, and etc... So, the first few weeks no one really tried me, but you best believe they watched the fuck out of me trying to "figure me out" and "feel me out" to see if I'd be an easy target worth going after or if I was hell on wheels and wouldn't be worth the level of violence I'd reign down on them. After my 3rd week, a group of "heartless felons" tried stealing my shit while I was on the yard. My bunkie was the head pic the compound's "Netas" gang, so he agreed to have my back and make sure the gang didn't jump me when I went to get my shit back AS LONG AS I beat the living fuck out of the first punk to step to me. So, I went and found one of the dudes that took my stuff and then instantly swung on site and it was on from there. lol. I ended up straight up mopping the floor with this dude by time the C.O.'s got to us, and I was elbowing him in the face repetitively when the CO's got to me, so they yoked me up and full-nelsoned me, then proceeded to empty an entire can of tear gas into my mouth, in my ears, up my nose, down my throat, and all in my face... Yes, it sucked HORRIBLY... lol I spent 3 weeks in the hole, came back to the same block, and then the Neta's (vicious spanish gang) had my back out of respect from there on out. Being a whiteboy in prison and refusing to join up with any bs gangs instantly makes you an easy target bc you have no backup. But, they respected the fact I just wanted to do my 4 years and go home without catching any outside cases or getting into the bullshit prison politics, so they kinda acted as my silent guardian angels from there on out. But mainly, they were impressed with how quick I was to run into a group of gang members and just start flying off the cuff on one of them, so I earned a lot of respect and didn't become known as "just another pussy ass whiteboy who wouldn't stand up for himself". Even if you were to lose miserably, you'll still earn TONS of respect for at least TRYING to stand up for yourself. Then, you'll have a lot of the 'quiet gangsters' (the TRULY baddest motherfuckers that everyone has to go through first before "picking a shot" on someone) start looking out for you and declining to allow gangs and newbies to fuck with you. ("Picking shots" means: robbing, beating up, fucking with an individual that you singled out because they seemed like an easy target.) Other than that, yes, prison can be extremely scary. Little mini block Riots sometimes pop off and you'll be included in it regardless because "Mob mentality" takes over and all the wreckless inmates just start going chaotic on random people during the scuffles. There's an immense amount of "hush hush violence" that goes on behind the C.O.'s backs, and you're often wondering when are YOU going to be the guy that gets fucked up randomly in an area where you can't get any help or backup. And a lot of other gruesome and violent shit you will witness without a doubt.. Now, keep in mind: this is in a level 2 Medium Security joint in Ohio (Belmont). The higher security levels toy go up, the more nasty the violence becomes. But, I the flipside, some prisons are VERY laxed and the majority of guys aren't on crazy hoodlum type shit and just wanna do their time and go home, so there's a lot less BS inn these types of places. But, there's wayyyy more really shitty, violent, and chaotic prisons, than there are laxed/chill prisons. But, yes, it is scary. Never, EVER let your guard down, and never think that you're "safe". and remember: NONE of those guys are truly your friends... Most everyone is there for being an absolute piece off shit in society, so just because they're being "cool" with you doesn't mean they've instantly found Jesus or something. They're still inherently dangerous deep down, and since everyone starts looking the same, sounding the same, and acting the same like robots after a while, never forget the fact that you have NO IDEA what each one of them are capable of. Stay away from gambling, never accept "gifts" from others, and never, ever, EVER borrow something... Just keep your chin up, but your head down, and do your time by flying under the radar and staying out if the bullshit and you'll end up fine. Violate any of these rules, and you'll find out REAL QUICK how the show "Oz" got its storylines. lol
AfterPrisonShow a moment of stupidity destroyed my reputation and i let my family down having straight B's and A's helped reduce my sentence i also had no past criminal history
Been to jail a lot and to prison once .2 rules if you want to keep breathing...keep your mouth shut and mind your own business. A couple more I can think of is ALWAYS SAY EXCUSE ME if you come within a foot of anybody, don't accept anything you can't give back on store day .

So, I wasn't gonna post this but the more I thought about it the more reasons I had to post this. It's about my time in an INFAMOUS WEST TENNESSEE JAIL, called MAD COUNTY. It was called MAD COUNTY for 2 reasons. One reason is because it is located in MADISON COUNTY TENNESSEE. The 2nd reason is because it's the most brutal, unforgiving and one of the worst places on earth. I'm not going to go into much detail but give you a damn good idea of the living nightmare this place is. I say is because I assume it hasn't changed since I had my stay. I will start with the county blues. First you get a shitty pair of sandals followed by the trustee letting you try on different jump suits, county blues, until you have found one that fits or doesn't fit. Once in you can request blues that fit. You may get a pair that fits in 2 weeks to a month because not one of the deputies are in any hurry to help you no matter what the situation is. The living conditions were definitely different than my other 2 stays in the old jail, the jail before MAD COUNTY was built. There were three pods that contained 3 "cells." A pod, B pod and C pod. Each "cell" held 12 to 15 inmates so no one had any privacy at all!! There is a bathroom with no door and a shower with no door or curtain. So, if you had to shit or shower all of your cell mates could see you. Luckily all of the guys I was in with were cool except for one homo that I had to handle for watching me shower. Got 3 days in solitary but it was worth it because he was gone when I got back. This place had no TV, no radio or anything. Once a week a trustee brings a cart of books so you can pick some shitty book to read. There's absolutely no rec time or outside time. The only exercise you get is sit ups, push ups etc. If you got tired of sitting on your bunk you walk around the "cell" in circles. The cell is roughly 30' by 30' so it wasn't much of a walk. You can play card games but that, obviously, gets old. Your sleeping habits get ruined completely. This is due to never knowing what time it is except for when they bring you meals. If everyone in your cell lays down to rest at lights out, you won't be able to sleep for several different reasons. They might throw in a new guy sometime while you're sleeping and the new guy will most likely be fucked up on something and bother everybody talking and making noises. Other disruptions come from the other 2 cells in your pod or the guys in A pod and B pod will start making all sorts of noise. I remember one night the guys in B pod started freestylin over a beat someone was playing on one of the 2 table and chairs in the "cell" and that shit was loud!!! That beat that guy was playing was echoing throughout the building, I assume. They must have been directly under us because it was loud as shit!! And this went on for hours. The only thing that I found entertaining was watching the guys in my cell fish with the guys in other "cells" in C pod. Just watching them fish in general was fun to watch but that was it. I'm making this place sound better than it is but I assure you, IT IS HELL!!! Everybody that was spending 11/29 or more were begging to be took to prison. They were begging every deputy that passed by to get them out and on to prison, they were writing notes to the sheriff and other officials begging to get out of MAD COUNTY and on to prison. I witnessed 4 attempted suicides while there. I'm not sure what all of their reasons for doing that was but I do know that a couple of them were due to being in MAD COUNTY. Luckily they failed trying to kill themselves and they did get transported somewhere else that delt with mental issues. Im gonna try to think of a few more things to mention. They keep it colder than shittin there, you can trade certain items from each meal and you do get commissary. I know that this is not about prison and that's why I hesitated posting this. But, I decided to post this because MAD COUNTY was and is one of the WORST places on earth! I don't think it's possible to stress just how terrible this place is with words. Also, the reason I was writing cell like "cell" is because I can't remember what they called your "cell?" Anyway I apologize for any misspelled words or grammarical errors I made in this, I was writing this on my phone.
TAP. Studios jail is where they take you when you get arrested it's temporarily and prison is where you go after your sentence where you housed for permanent
JimmySyndrome182 Jail is when the case is in the court...kinda way for you to be out...Prison is when you are stuck after a decision is made.Though if you ve support enough or a good conduct you can plea in prisons ...but thats uncommon.

I could never sit in prison caged up. If I'm ever facing a long sentence it'll be suicide by cop cause I'll fight to the end.
Or don't commit crimes? It's a far out idea I know
Suicide by cop is selfish as fuck. That could mess up the cops life. Taking someone's life effects people in different ways
Is that what I said? No, it isn't. I wouldn't do anything to cause me to go to prison.
Andrew Davies You are dumb as fuck!
I’ve been through Boot Camp and spent one night in jail. That’s enough for me! LoL
What was it for.

I pity her, and I forgive her, but I doubt I'll ever see her again.

hearing your experience of Getting processed in prison reminds me of my time when i arrived to Army reception and Basic combat training.
Glad to hear somebody took a stand for you! Good people do exist. :)
He wasn't a public defendant. He was lawyer that just helped me.
I was in and out of jail from 17 to 25...the worst i had to do is when i did 90 days in wayne county jail/detroit metro... fucking shitshow.
its public defender. the defendant was xxxseether.

Thank you for your honesty.

isnt that good thing though🤔
They show you that because at least 80% of the staff doesn't want you to get raped so they make sure you know what the other 20% allowed
If you are a little bit clear to everybody and dont do too though than you survive. The rest is a lot of indian-storys to show how though they were or are. Dont believe everything.
Helps numb their expectations...
Better to expect hell and get a shitty Motel, than to expect a shitty flat and get your personal apocalypse

Hey joe were there any "rich" prisoners around you in prison
Some Cheese yah but they would act poor as fuck because if people knew they had money in the outside gangs would extort them.
OSP K9 was it scary fr ? and did they try u as in try to disrespect in any type of say .?
Some Cheese I've worked for the illinois department of corrections for 16 years, and everything K9 said is absolutely 100% accurate.
the kidd
Prison was absolutely scary.
Yes, it sucked HORRIBLY... lol
I spent 3 weeks in the hole, came back to the same block, and then the Neta's (vicious spanish gang) had my back out of respect from there on out.
("Picking shots" means: robbing, beating up, fucking with an individual that you singled out because they seemed like an easy target.)
Other than that, yes, prison can be extremely scary.
Violate any of these rules, and you'll find out REAL QUICK how the show "Oz" got its storylines. lol
“Killer...what a fine name that you have sir” 🤣🤣🤣

Been to jail a lot and to prison once .2 rules if you want to keep breathing...keep your mouth shut and mind your own business. A couple more I can think of is ALWAYS SAY EXCUSE ME if you come within a foot of anybody, don't accept anything you can't give back on store day .
Never, ever, EVER look in someone's cell as you walk by. And definitely don't stare at anyone. Don't 'parachute' into anyone's conversations either.

The last 2 days in prison feels like a year. My last week in prison felt like that lol. But I was lucky cause the co's let me out at 4:30am. I was in nc prisons so they are a little different, but most of what he said it on point.

Random question: do you watch any other youtubers and if yes which ones?
This brings back memories. My experience wasn't so terrible. I played pool, Dungeons and Dragons, kept a garden outside and was part of a class where we got to use computers. But then again, that was Federal Prison. ;)

Jail is when the case is in the court...kinda way for you to be out...Prison is when you are stuck after a decision is made.Though if you ve support enough or a good conduct you can plea in prisons ...but thats uncommon.
