Just found your channel and it's a delight to watch and inspiration,I grew up in 70s London on Airfix and later Monogram and AMT kits occasionally I'd see models in car magazines made by hand from card or wood and be amazed by these hand built wonders, life happened and I went on to full size cars as a hobby, now in my later 50s I can no longer afford my full size car hobby and rediscovered the joy of model making from scratch,I'd seen on Pathe film a model builder who made wooden car models in 50s,60s then the GM guild which annually ran competitions for budding designers years back also the American hobby of Pinewood derby,I purchased equipment a few years back to start wood working but yet to start but have been working with card and making my own plans as long as I know length, height, width, wheelbase of a car I'm ok then do thumbnail sketch on graph paper and thereafter scale accordingly,I'm working on a model of a Triumph 2000 car at the moment in card. I love your models and that you show the process, may I ask which wood you use as I researched and so far learnt Bass is ok. Best wishes to yourself, family, friends and fellow viewers. I
