Literally bought this vehicle 2 hours ago after test driving 5 different vehicles and after watching your video, it sold me on the purchase and it's the first time I haven't had buyers remorse. Great video.

Owned it for a month and still enjoy it. Biggest issue and problem I faced is the brake pads are garbage. For whatever reason they decided to put awesome calipers and rotors and then put generic Kia pads. I took it on the track and after lap 1 they were smoking and I had brake fade and needed to stop. After looking at all the message boards, reddit pages etc, it's been an ongoing issue for a few years now. Other than the brake pads, I've had no other major issues. Minor gripes are the lane assist/collision avoidance is terrible and feels like its 10 years old compared to what it's capable of in today's current cars.

I’ve had my 2019 Stinger GT since December 2020 used with 29k miles, and I’ve had nothing but a great experience with it. Tuned it with LAP3 since summer ‘21 and I’ve pulled a 10.97s 1/4 mile with a 3.05s 0-60.
Sad to see 23 is the last year, it’s a great car! I’m definitely jealous of all the great tech in this one compared to my base GT model but it was only $33k out the door so I can’t complain; the twin turbo engine was what I really wanted.

@@dewfall56 yeah, the main power mods are lap3 stage 2.5 ecu, stage 3+ tcu, and 100% methanol injection. velossa tech wide mouth air scoops, bms cold air intakes with carbon fiber covers, hks plugs at stock gap, ark catless secondary downpipes and a thermal r&d catback exhaust, on 4 gallons e85 and the rest 93, enkei wheels and continental dws06 sport plus 18+ tires.

@@kontrakontraversy6449 There’s maybe $6-7k with the LAP3 tcu / ecu tunes and all the other fbo hardware (downpipes, catback, intakes, methanol injection, etc.).
It’s been worth it for driving enjoyment for sure. Plus the car is still running great. It’s my daily driver. Nothing besides oil changes and routine maintenance and it just hit 50k miles a month or so ago. 29k miles when I got it.
Great video, thank you for the amazing review! As a guy who is buying a Stinger GT2 soon, one of the biggest selling points for me was the features that you get as standard with the GT2. The Stinger is fully maxed out with HUD, ventilated seats, all driver assistance features, and the special edition at $56,800. You can get the BMW M340i, Audi S4, or Mercedes AMG C43 for within earshot of that but you need to dish out thousands more for those features I mentioned before. That is what sold me on the Stinger!

Getting this exact car in two days. Trading my red 2018 GT2 because I had to have the last model year and love the changes they’ve made since release - nice to have the better exhaust note too. Favorite car I’ve ever owned!

@@waynetobey6589 Congrats! I just got mine a few hours ago. It feels and looks incredible even as a previous GT2 owner. Bringing it home reminded me of some things I needed to keep in mind the last time. So FYI - look at properly bedding the brake pads. I think it’s in the manual. Also, break in your sound system by keeping songs at lower volumes for a while and slowly easing them into louder volumes.

I never dreamed of owning a car like this but I fell in love with the 2020 back when i bought wife a Kia Forte and saw one on the showfloor.
I inherited her Forte a year after that because she decided she wanted a Sant Fe.
Went to trade in the 20 Forte on a new 23 Forte and somehow ended up buying my new 23 Gt2 twin turbo Stinger. It has thoroughly impressed me not only in its power but the level of refinement put into the build is amazing as is the comfort and pure joy of driving this car. We done KIA

Saving up for one of these bad boys. Idc that it’s a Kia. When I test drove the 2022 model last year it was one of the best driving experiences I’ve had out of a v6. Absolutely smooth and fast.

Very cool video Anthony. The one Kia I would consider. I was surprised to find some just a couple years old low miles and only 30-35k. It is to bad everyone seems to be killing off the sedan. Everything goes full circle. I'm guessing the mighty four-door will rise again. Sooner or later people will tire of driving cargo boxes on wheels and return to having fun.

Took order of my GT2 9 months ago same trim in dark grey metallic paint, and am not looking back. This is a great car and the performance is a steal for the price, comparable German badges cost thousands more. That said, some minor corners were cut (soundproofing), but who cares with the HK premium sound! #NoRegrets

GREAT REVIEW! Completely unbiased and to the point. The fact that we can put this car in the conversation with the M340i, S5, and C43 with a straight face shows that Kia is dead serious.
One question: How was the overall ride quality? I believe the GT2s have the electronic dampers, and I was wondering do they aide tremendously in the quality.
The drive is more dynamic then the base but it is still smooth for a sports sedan 👍

Great review. I have a GT2 22. I adore the car. I spent months reviewing at the best sports sedans deal for the price and the Stinger kept coming up as the winner. It doesn't have the Audi or Mercedes badge but if you price in all the amenities the Stinger offers the purchase of a Stinger it is a no brainer. Go to a dealer quick as the Stinger is out of production. Do not pay more than SMRP and don't fall for their hype.

Kia is so underrated expecially these stingers. Both me and my cousins are car guys and he just recently got his first car. A 230 hp 2007 328i in decent condition that weights 3500 when he couldve leased one of these for a lot more and a brand new one with more power and features.
The Stinger is a good overall value and performance, 🎉 on the Bimmer 👍
My favorite part along everything was the heads up display and the seat that adjust to your body.

What material did they use for the internal seats on 2023 model? My 2020 Stinger GT2 is all leather inside, I think I like the leather a bit more but not a big deal.

I am looking at getting a GT2 with the red leather vs the suede. I have concerns with the up keep on the suede. I’ve heard it is hard to keep clean. Also concerned if these seats will feel hot. Do you have any concerns with the suede?
Buy a Suede/Nubuck cleaner it will make it easy, the GT2 has ventilation seats; that takes care of the hot feel 😁 👍
They're gonna get rid of the stinger soon sadly. Wish they wouldn't I think the best option is to make a hybrid. V6 naturally aspirated (get rid of turbos to lower price point), with an electric motor in the front (just like the new corvette e-ray). Power could still be around 400 hp if they want.

Thinking about trading in my GT Line model for this but don’t know how i I feel about the Swede interior. Mine is all leather interior.

Good and Informative Stinger review, those black wheels look nice, might be from the Scorpion edition, I own a Stinger GT here in Australia, I would love a Scorpion rear spoiler, I'm going to check my Stinger for the passenger seat controls, I'm sure they are also powered here on our top of the range GT model.

I just got one these in red with the Grand Tourer special edition extras. Amazing car! However, how concerned should I be about resale value knowing that the Stinger is discontinued and everyone seems to be looking toward EVs?
It can go either way, full ev’s are being pushed but most buyers still wait a hybrid or gas engine. Congratulations they are awesome 👍

@@evenheller209it's hard the tell. Could get either way. It's different than the G8 and SS that it's a TTv6 which is less sought after than say a V8 for enthusiasts. The stinger didn't sell well so there are not many of them which could help. I went with a CT4 blackwing cause I wanted a manual but I heavily considered this and the G70. At the end of the day it's a car which most of the time is a terrible investment so I'd just enjoy it and not worry about the resell value.

Why wouldn’t a buyer just go with the Acura Tlx Type S at this price point?
The Type S is about 4-5k more at base price, with a twin scrolled turbo and ranching 60 about .2 seconds slower. Great vehicle but this almost fully loaded with a twin turbo, more hp and torque is at base price TLX Type S. Kia really made a sweet spot vehicle but this is the last of it unfortunately 👍

I just test drove this car and quickly came to realize what I considered a major safety flaw. When driving you can just barely move the stick shift into neutral without having to press a button. I found myself in neutral during my test drive without even knowing it. I refused to buy it because of that.
