'Pop! Pop! Pop! "let me see your hand!?!"... Good job, Officer - this time, you done right. Respect
Feel bad for the drivers that got rammed at the red light.
Yea and insurance is going to do everything they can to not pay for it, I assume
@@thunderben haha true that I bet
@@XiLL3NT not sure what's funny about that.
@Skankhunt36 yes car insurance can be a joke get over it.
stupid cop thinks that a boxed car cannot ram its way out or that a verbal instruction to "Get out of the car" will actually be obeyed. smh
I'm old enough to remember the old T.V. westerns, when the town marshal would yell, "Stop! Or I'll shoot.".
Well done LEO's. Thanks for sharing.
Totally justified. Good job officers.
“He did survive” … damnit
as soon as the siren stopped, the motorcycle stopped 😂
He scared the crap out of his partner when the gun went off
Get some stop sticks out under the tires when you first approach the vehicle.
The officer next to him was shocked that he started shooting 😂
Involved in multiple armed robberies? Putting many others lives at risk? 100% Justified. This Psycho had to be stopped at all cost!
Even his partner was like damn that was a good shot.
The other officer looked freaked out that his partner fired.
I really appreciate your analysis on this case. I don’t always agree with you guys but in this case your explanation makes the justification very clear
No problems with this one.
Dude has already demonstrated he's willing to put anyone in danger in a bid to get away.
Kudos to all the LEOs involved in this.
Some problems I see with this:
1. The light is going to turn green shortly, thinking you can run up and get him in custody by yourself, while the guy is still in the car is less that probable.
2. Running up on the car and breaking out the window is incredibly dangerous! The suspect could have easily pulled the gun and shot you through the window and the cop didn’t even have his gun out to return fire. In the end, this was an impulsive move, not clearly thought through.
If the set up dictates the outcome, this could have been set up much better, with less risk to the public and the officers.
3. Copper just ruined a lot of people's day & car unnecessarily. Some of whom are barely going to have the money to cover deductible if insurance pays out at all. You obviously had help on the way, why not follow til you can safely ambush.
John and Mike supporting cops chasing down robbers! I love it. Props to this cop for solving the problem at hand through determination and marksmanship. I don't know what planet you guys are on. I have no problems putting 8 and 9 ring hits on target with my Amish 686 and numerous Amish 1911s at 65 yards. I'm sure the red dot helped in this case as the target was moving. I'm tempted to get one but then I have to find a holster and I'm just not there yet. Maybe Phlster makes one...
Good job all.
This happened just down the road from us, never thought it would be on the channel, crazy!
Violent car jacker gets the lead every time. 💯💯💯💯💯
Justified!
Sad to hear he survived.
All right with that. Guy was a threat to everyone.
Pretty good shots there.
One recently out of Richland/Kennewick WA also where the car jacker stole multiple cars. Wild
Other officer at 2:18: “Yeah, I’m gonna let my coworker take _his_ chances with a jury.”
Even though it’s justified considering his previous actions, can’t fault that second officer for thinking of his own future.
Would it also be justified for a citizen to "stop" this "violent felon" like the Officer did ?
I wouldn't recommend it. Tennessee vs vs Garner doesn't apply to you.
Morally - that's a question for people much more wise than myself to discuss.
Legally - no. A private citizen is authorized to use force only as a matter of protection for themself, and for someone else only when they're in immediate danger. In this scenario, the guy is no longer an immediate danger to you when he starts to flee, and while he is certainly a theoretical danger to anyone he might come across, it's not technically immediate and you don't technically know that if you personally aren't witness to him attacking someone else.
Again, that's the legal side. Whether one agrees that it should be that way or not, isn't relevant to legality
@@parker2121 appreciate your comment. 👍🏻
That guy should be facing a pine board.
Every active self protection ends with “covered their own ass” 😂😂😂
He could’ve shot when he was a bigger threat driving through cars hitting others, than taking off on a bike with his back towards them.
Great shooting skills!
Lol this started on Canyon Road and 160th in between Puyallup and Tacoma, Washington. Used to live right up the road on 176th. Not Surprised to see this on here. Heard all about it from an officer buddy of mine. 🙄😬😃
Mans did what I do in gta. Vehicle decommissioned? Steal another. My goodness. Glad he was stopped.
So, every thing he has was stolen? He’ll get a free pass.!
Appearantly, if I get rammed durring a chase, it's my problem that I'm left to deal with ....😮
Good job
FFs were the keys in the ignition on the motorcycle. No way he hotwired it that fast....
Very sad that the officers would risk all those innocent people's vehicles knowing full well that they'll never be reimbursed for the damages.
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Who cares about vehicles when human lives are in jeopardy?
@dihskursiv yeah skank hunt is delusional. looking at this feed right now and this bozo been crying and complaining about it
Insurance will cover it. I am glad this scumbag was taken out.
I literally set items for a specific local guy to steal, because he takes it into my pawn shop. This has been going on for a while. I am completely in control of his life at this point. I can stop paying him, i can lay out traps instead of just recording, stop leaving the stuff out...
Or just send him to prison! The item value is waaaay over felonious at this point.
Are you just like that guy? Living off the weird jollies of actual people that actually give a flying fuck, while none the wiser?
I discussed this with some anti-cop friends of mine. The conversation got to a point where they said Cops are never justified shooting some one in the back. I can admit its always horrible optics, but there are completely legitimate reasons to do so. Someone who has literally put people lives in danger already is more than likely to pose a serious deadly threat if they are running from cops. I'm totally okay with this and I know the law is as well
It's a shame he survived and didn't succumb to his injuries.
Based on the totality of circumstances I would submit that he would fall under the auspices of the "He needed killin'" law.
Nice shots
Kinda bad that the cop was willing to risk damage to civilian vehicles that he knows will not be reimbursed.
This turned out well despite the fact that there were no off-duty Brazillian officers nearby.
let me guess black dude!
Go to sleep
Got be because he's not shooting up schools
Justified but OMG Bang Bang Bang let me see your hands Haha haha police procedure?????
A motor vehicle is a deadly weapon. Glad he was stopped.
It’s a tough job being an officer, I think he did the right thing.
The only thing I gotta say is the cop had to be confident in his shots with the houses I front of him. Damn that’s a pucker factor… 😮
I'm usually one to call foul with most police shootings. This, however, was a perfect example of a just use of deadly force, albeit odd circumstances. The one message this guy conveyed to law enforcement: I am dangerous without any apparent pause in my future. The guy was a rolling menace show. Complete disregard for others, probably a lifelong resume of hurting others and narcissism. I hope he receives the maximum.
How in the freak did he get that bike started so fast..???.. i thought he made it home and it was his bike... idk much about motorcycles, but i didnt think they can be stolen so easily
When he endangered the lives of others he forfeited his own
Chalk one up for the good guys. No issue with the use of deadly force.
I'd vote for these two men as President and Vice President of the United States anytime anyday over anybody currently or previously in that seat. ASP👍🏾
Was that other cop stoned or what?
Totally unreactive and not engaged.
IMHO...
EVERY fleeing subject NEEDS to be chased and stopped. The fact they are fleeing is all the excuse an officer should need to chase them and stop them. Boggles my mind when a chase gets terminated when the reason for the stop was a busted tail light - the guy ain't running because he has a busted tail light. The guy is running because he's a criminal.
EVERY fleeing felon needs to be stopped by any force necessary. PERIOD!
Don't want any of this to happen to you? Don't run.
Within the first 5 seconds John talks about the video I already made up my mind it was justified
Maybe officers should have a mini stop stick they can place in front of the rear tire as they walk up to a car.
damn right ..officers did it right.. WELL DONE..
People are arguing that the shooting wasn’t justified when he was clearly driving like a wild man through the streets and some neighborhood, he could have easily maimed or killed any of the people inside the cars he ran into as well as hit any pedestrians that could have been in the way, if he had ran someone’s wife & children over it wouldn’t even be questioned over wether the shooting was justified would it? Luckily from what I can see nobody else was seriously injured and props to the officers for showing calm during the storm
Stolen car, bike, probably the uhaul, wouldn't be surprised if his own pants were stolen too
Since the cops were fully informed of the man’s violent tendencies they saved more victims so it’s justified IMO…but it’s a situation that 40%+ of folks are gonna have a problem with including the other officer as he stood and watched the guy ride off bc he too saw it was iffy to shoot and then he looked at the shooter like wtf
That looks exactly like my car, wluckily I dont live in detroit lol
Kinda shot toward a house tho from quite a distance....
To bad that the perp made it to commit more acts of foolishness. Like a sick dog.
No question in my mind that was justified that guy had 0 regard for public safty and was definitely a threat to that public safty
Totally justified with taking the shot. The ONLY issue I have is the backstop. If he does not make that shot, that could be bad juju for anyone inside that trailer.
It’s interesting how cops always put others in danger too, but no one mentions that.
Please don't tell us you're one of those "Don't chase and get the guy later" people?
It depends on how dark the perp was as to whether or not the shooting was justified.
Damm everything he got is stolen
Absolutely justified.
A knife in the tires would have at least partially disabled the car.
In the breakdown we failed to congratulate the first officer for dropping his hand held flashlight when drawing his firearm in order to have two hands on the gun. We always point out when an officer fails to do this, which is surprisingly often, we should congratulate this one for getting it right.
Edit: most likes I've ever gotten, thanks everyone!
Or the officer that didn't fire his service pistol because his fellow officer did
Also would've been worth discussing "what if" that initial officer actually discharged his firearm for the same reason as the last officer
@@Flack55 I was wondering if the driver continued to crash into vehicles if the officer involved shooting was going to take place right there.
The first officer with the flashlight did not have a good backdrop, high possibility of injuring a civilian.
I liked your comment just because you said youve never gotten this many likes. Cheers my friend in hopes those likes maybe turn into business one day for you 😊
Guy doesn’t own a damn thing in his possession.
Might be the one time that age old line of “these aren’t even my pants” is true.
He now owns those Bullets though??
Lol. Good one. 😂
@@philippekosmas7567 lol doesn't own those either. Maybe they will let him keep some of the small fragments in him ha
Suspect already showed no concern for the safety of others in this event and when added to his history of violence ... the public owes these officers a big thank-you.
Hmmm.
If I was driving the chase camera car I would have just drove right into the perp while he was getting on the bike.
Your car is a GREAT weapon.
You can't do that in Washington anymore, especially here in Pierce County. I'm surprised these officers weren't told to let off this pursuit, it's baaaad over here nowadays. This was less than a mile from me!
Even though the perp is armed? I wouldn't want to get that close to him if I don't have to. You also damage your car and might need it to resume a pursuit.
Applying (at the time) unknown past criminal activity to justify a shooting in bad analysis. And the first officer could have easily stop him had he not just lazily walked up to a fleeing suspect.
Total disregard for others lives...absolutely justified.
Yeahhh… no!
@@kaloeaayeah… yeah
Looks at the expression from non-shooting officer. 6:00. Appears to be giving facial equivalent of ‘WTF are you doing’ to other officer. Just saying.
He should have aimed higher and put this POS out of service and sent him to his maker!!!
You love to say POS don't you lol
@@smilemore1997 yeah. You know how sensitive this country is now.
This guy stole EVERYTHING !!! And in my opinion he's stealing precious air
Totally justified. Fleeing violent felon. Good call.
Shooting somebody in the back while both hands are occupied.. not justified at all you can tell the surprise on the other cops face 🤡.
@@DeliciousQuack sorry but we need more capital punishment for these criminals. You keep defending them though. 🤷🏾♂️
@@DeliciousQuack Did you want the officers to wait until he car jacked another person violently? Maybe if he had killed someone you would be ok with it? Stop defending bad guys.
@@DeliciousQuack considering your profile picture, subscriptions, 1 playlist that's just a mix of Machine Gun Kelly, it's fair to say your opinion doesn't matter. Furthermore, the guy's a threat to the entire Community if he gets away. Maybe you'd realize that if he was sneaking around in your backyard with a stolen gun, desperate to get away from the law.
@@alphasheep99 Lol you've got playlists of Noah Cyrus and My Chemical Romance and your trying to say people's opinions don't matter because of their channel? I'll say this, those bullets will go through that house's walls pretty easily. It's funny that people say it's ok for cops to kill this guy because of the reckless endangerment to the community.
We need some horse drawn ambulances for situations like this.
Lmao! I agree or a skateboard 🛹
Dog sled ambulances, dispatched from Alaska..
@@acguru6495 from Russia 🇷🇺 would be nice and helpful as well!🤣😂🤣
Train some turtles to pull it
Fleeing felon.
"Where the officer has probable cause to believe that the suspect poses a threat of serious physical harm, either to the officer or to others, it is not constitutionally unreasonable to prevent escape by using deadly force."
- Justice Byron White, Tennessee v. Garner
There are other cases that go against it also, but I don't think you're wrong. They have the "fleeing felon doctrine" for a reason. There are many cases though in which the supreme court ruled that people cannot be shot just for fleeing.
@MIMS919 This is the way!
@@davidrisenhoover1693 He shoved a gun in someone's face to take their car, multiple times.
Great marksmanship on behalf of the Officer.
Not an easy shot.
Gotta to stop him. Showed violent actions, armed robber, take him out totally.
I like to keep my car in my possession, that is why I stay out of Pierce County. LOL keep up the good work guys!
lock your car doors then they cant car jack you so easy
Me too. I try to stay out of King as much as possible too.
Let’s just say we should all stay out of USA. Safest option.
Pierce County isnt as bad as King County! At Least the police in Pierce will do something.
@@HaggisPowerlol where are you from?
Of all times where Tennessee vs Garner being applied…… THIS IS IT. Dude was clearly gonna continue his reign of terror until he seriously hurt or killed someone. 100% back the officer taking shots here.
The shooting is completely justified. If a person has proved that they are a deadly threat to you and they start fleeing, at that point they are a deadly threat to EVERYONE out there.
Shooting someone in the back while both hands are occupied? Come on now. This guy was a POS yeah no contest but lethal force is only justifiable in preservation of life. This guy just wanted to get away not take a life he didn’t even take his gun with him
I don't disagree. I'm just surprised that only one cop shot, while the other cop was nowhere even remotely ready for the shooting to start. The supreme court did rule that cops can NOT shoot people for fleeing.
says you, goofy ass
Nonsense
@@mediatool9596 This isnt california lol. They dont get a pat on the back and an apology for stealing and endangering/violently threatening other peoples lives.
The calmest “he ran over my foot” I’ve ever heard
That was funny. But I have had my foot run over before and surprisingly it didn't hurt. I'm sure it is due to how the weight transfers from one side of the foot to the other so quickly.
@@mrEofPlanetEarth most cops don’t wear steel toe. Not enough flexibility and also not very comfortable for long hour duty use. Most LEO wear boots that only have a reinforced toe, if anything.
Hmm...happened in Pierce Co. WA state, that dude is probably already back on the streets. Probably was same day. They don't actually prosecute real criminals around here.
Sounds like Los Angeles....lol
I think it was justified. One pos taken out at a time. The part of repeated violent criminal is enough to call it justified in my eyes.
He said he survived
How’d he have that motorcycle ready to go, no way people are so dumb to leave keys in
Yes they are.
Happens all the time in rural America.
“Is the juice worth the squeeze” is always the key question in these types of scenarios.
😂😂
Violent repeat offenders have no place in society good work officers thank you for doing society a favor
Hmm guy did multiple armed robberies, armed carjacking...so we let them go? No. Always take the shot when you can. Surprised the cop didnt just ram the motorcycle from behind as he got on it
Odd as it sounds if you do this put stop sticks in before you show so if they go ahead the tires are pre popped, same can be done in traffic stops for at risk runners
The only problem i have with this situation is that the perp wasnt shot in the head or heart. Other than that, great work!
Given the context of him car jacking several people at gun point then ramming vehicles to get away it seems reasonable to use lethal force to stop him, I agree with ASP.
It’s a shame he survived
With all the previous violent felonies committed by the perp, he could easily take someone's life in his continuing efforts to escape. That said, I don't see a legal problem with an officer using deadly force to end the perp's violent rampage.
"Fleeing felon doctrine". I know there are cases/rulings where cops cannot shoot people just for fleeing... but I do know that a person can be shot if they are a proven danger to society... but it's usually on private people to shoot in those situations, whereas government is actually more restricted. I think this would be ruled justified, but I'm not 100% of that, because of other cases I've seen just like this where it was ruled unjustified to shoot the suspect.
@@deucedeuce1572 This doctrine comes from common law and has been refined in case law. Police officers are held to a higher standard than civilians. If police officers reasonably believe the perp is an immediate danger to them or the public, deadly force may be lawful. I believe in the subject case because so many dangerous felonies were committed on the public in a serial manner and contemporaneous in time with each other, deadly force could be justified to protect the public from further danger. Of course, if the police could articulate a reasonable belief that they were in immediate danger of death or great bodily harm, that would likely suffice as a legal defense for the use of deadly force.
@@robertjanicki5906 Yeah, I doubt they're going to be getting into any trouble. (and I doubt they have to worry about being sued either).
