    When does your tutorial come on I’m a new comer n absolutely love your lessons, I’m a well advanced guitar player but I love learning new stuff n I play a lot of quartet styles but trying to incorporate contemporary gospel. Respond when you have a chance cuz I love how you break everything down

    How do you set up your guitar? What pickup? How much tone? What settings on the amp?

    • @stevespicer7185
      @stevespicer7185 5 лет назад

      Sounds like a gentle scoop in the high-mids, a nice warm long-tail reverb and an extremely subtle touch of valve drive. And a perfectly tuned guitar. Can't speak for the pickups.

    Anyone know if you can play this style on like every kind of e guitar?

    • @ChristianLopez-di5ce
      @ChristianLopez-di5ce 5 лет назад +2

      You definitely can. If you're looking for this sound the amp is most important so just use whatever guitar you would like. Having a hollowbody with thicket strings running through a solid state will most likely give you the more "true" neo soul/jazz sound however it's marginal in my opinion. I've even played this style on a guitar with actives before and it sounded fine to me.

    What’s the lick you’re playing right after the E min at 1:07 ?? Sounds so good as an embellishment (high up the neck) is that based on a triad ?

    • @CaberraTV
      @CaberraTV  4 года назад

      its a minor 9 chord!

  • @GachaJay
    @GachaJay 11 месяцев назад

    But how do you know when you can actually play them? Is there any rules to when you can make a chord a minor 9 versus a minor 7?

    • @CaberraTV
      @CaberraTV  11 месяцев назад

      I wouldn't say so because both notes are involved in the aeolian scale. The minor9 chord is just more "modern" Neo-soul sounding in comparison to a traditional minor7 chord.

    How do you vibrate the chord with the way you shake the guitar?

    • @rchayes1996
      @rchayes1996 6 лет назад

      caleb crosby adainoo You can do it on any guitar. Another way is to bend the guitar neck towards your body after playing a chord. It adds a vibrato sound using the guitar body, instead of using your fingers while fretting the chord.
