The promoter sets the price. The promoter goes to the band and offers them a certain amount to play. The band agree and then just have nothing else to do with it except practicing and doing some PR. The promoter then gets a ticket agency to sell the tickets, or a venue if its a smaller act. The promoter is looking to make a huge profit, the band will get an agreed amount and potentially a percentage. The promoter sets all the parameters.
The whole setup was manipulated so that the ticket price would jump. I’m fuming as a young family member bought a ticket at a vastly increased price. Basically after queuing in a system that either couldn’t cope or was deliberately throttled to a snails pace resulting in fans being told that you are either walk away after queuing for hours or pay a rip off price. That is not how you should treat your fans. It is utterly shameful and blatant profiteering. Shame on you Gallaghers and Ticketmaster. The cost of living crisis isn’t obviously a thing in Notting Hill or Maida Vale.
They should also be made to have a totally separate section for the accessibility tickets! There is only a select amount as it is & after waiting 5 hours in a queue there was none left, it then tells you to check another date or venue but when you click it, it sends you back to the start🤬 It’s so annoying as we can’t just grab any for anywhere in the stadium as we have specific needs! More needs done to make it easier for people like me who have special/specific needs! Wish they would do a different site altogether for accessibility tickets, it’s 2024 you’d think by now changes would’ve made to make life easier for disabled people! I didn’t realise how bad it actually was until I found myself with severe health issues that caused mobility problems! Something needs to change!
@@bennykelz that’s another issue, some venues hold all the tickets and some ticket master do but you have no idea! It’s so confusing🫤 Would be so much easier if ALL the accessibility tickets were handled by ONE site so we know where to wait in line! We aren’t going to be queue jumping or anything as the section we get put are specific for us anyway so would make no difference to other buyers. It’s just so frustrating and deflating when your told ring venue directly to wait hours and be told its ticket master(and vice versa). I’m now left with no tickets! I did get the opportunity to buy normal tickets in the main standing area at £155 and then again at £355 when I got through on the next date. The system isn’t user friendly for us at all and we wait in line the same as everyone else yet can’t check other dates or other venues for accessibility tickets if that one has none left without being thrown back to the start😢
They always claimed they were the greatest band in the world but time has shown us they were a band at the top of their game in the 90s with 2 great albums - big difference, they are no Stones.

Been waiting for five hours, finally got in only to not be able to select any tickets due to "errors" on the website. Got kicked out after an hour of trying to select two tickets. Frustrating as f! In the evening I checked again to see if anything was left only to see the ticket prices were twice as high as before. Other platforms even sold them for over £700. I love Oasis, but that's just ludicrous! Are people with a normal income these days really expected to be able to pay for that? What about families who would have loved to go? I'm sorry, but I'm really starting to wonder who these shows are even for.... :(
They should be made publish their ticket prices in advance of the sale. It's just obviously wrong to move the goalposts and present people with an immenent decision of whether to accept exorbitant prices on the spot. Its fundamentaly obvious that the prices shouldn't be alllowed to change as the sale proceeds.
I got tickets before the dynamic pricing started today, however it has still left a bad taste in mouth that Oasis, and indeed any musicians would choose dynamic pricing strategy when fans are desperate for a ticket.
Its not the bands fault, its the fault of unscrupulous merchants and poor regulation bodies. From utility companies, water companies and every private sheister they are allowed to rip us off.
I had two tickets in the basket then got kicked out for having a tab open on safari. I had started there but realised I wasn’t logged in there, so I went to the app where I was. Apparently that was enough reason for them to chuck me to the back after 5 hours of waiting. Didn’t bother after that
Hours to have people spend hundreds for the tickets. These platforms need to go My uncle paid 700 for 2 standing fuckin tickets at Murrayfield I’ll wait and people will sell in the next year
There it is. The reason tucketmaster will never adopt finger prints to buy tickets and finger prints on the doors in order to sto the touts. Touts drive up prices.
My plan is to let all these people pay silly amounts for tickets then when they are still doing gigs in 2026 because they obviously will I will go watch them for £50
They will do more gigs in the next few years. Noel has £20mil to pay his ex. Stone Roses did a few years of gigging, I can see the same with oasis. Maybe a new album.
In the US, if you live in the city where the venue is located, you can go to the box office to avoid some of Ticketmaster fees. My biggest issue with Ticketmaster is when people buy out tickets just to resell them on secondary sites and get some profit out of fans. I believe they should do a better job when it comes to resale.

@@djgualtiermaldeCO by everyone
They dont need to worry about touts - they touted the tickets themselves.
Its a scam!
Pumped up by media, all in it to make money ticketmaster should be shut down why is there only one initial seller
Exactly bro. Viagogo was selling them from 9.08am and when you actually go to pay it sends you to ticketmaster and you pay them the money that’s how they can get away with it as they’re all in it together!! So it’s not paying a third party site so those tickets are all good and still on sale as I’m writing this at 8pm Saturday. Absolutely ridiculous situation.🤷✌️👍✌️
I dont think any REAL oasis fans love them because "it's like a soap opera" or because of the "juicy gossip" lol. They are good because their music is good
and see how long he keeps his hands behind his back
was good, after morning glory they got shit.

Give it up, GCHQ isn't mass surveillance, it's mass torture. They're making us all beg for death and raling children from birth to death. They're making every ody into homeless slaves. Liberalism is just eugenics, there never was any racism, it was just a lie. London isn't right, it's all a lie. They've all got something missing in their heads, their stare isn't right. They talk to voices
@@BobGnarley. they’re still good. Usual dafties who talk sh1t. There’s not been a band close to them since and their songs are timeless.
Every classic song of all time was good at the time. Then it’s up to the individual if u choose to listen years later as I do to songs from the 60s until music turned sh1t in about 2012. Actually everything in this world turned shit from about 2012!
Ticketmaster say they don't set the prices, then who does? It us a scam by artist and ticketmaster! The biggest ticket tout is Ticketmaster!!
Secondary sites should be illegal but make no mistake, artists can direct the promoter to not use dynamic pricing.
It’s a choice not mandatory
Ticketmaster must be stopped. They say they don't set prices, yet they charge a fee of over $40 a ticket.
Noel agreed to dynamic pricing instead of fixed.
It's on him
Does anyone remember the Ticketmaster V Pearl Jam scandal of the 90's.
Seem to remember a Pull Jem..Peal Jaw..Pill Jar..Plough Jen…
Nevermind, nobody I ever knew tried to actually get tickets for such drivel.
My pal asked me today if i was going to get tickets "i said maybe"
Was it definitely maybe?
garrrrrrr rrrrrrr rrrrr rrrraaaaaahhh gaaaaaaarrrrr yer ma wonda waaaaaaaaaall
Definitely maybe
I don't really wanna know
The whole setup was manipulated so that the ticket price would jump.
Been trying to get tickets all day with no luck .....absolute nightmare....shouldn't be this difficult
Same, haha can you imagine all the people who spent their Saturday like this, you're not alone
You had a result they were c*ap live in their hay day
They should also be made to have a totally separate section for the accessibility tickets!
There is only a select amount as it is & after waiting 5 hours in a queue there was none left, it then tells you to check another date or venue but when you click it, it sends you back to the start🤬
It’s so annoying as we can’t just grab any for anywhere in the stadium as we have specific needs!
I read somewhere that the wembley accessibility tickets are sold by wembley stadium themselves and you can buy them by phoning. Hope this helps!
@@bennykelz that’s another issue, some venues hold all the tickets and some ticket master do but you have no idea!
It’s so confusing🫤
Would be so much easier if ALL the accessibility tickets were handled by ONE site so we know where to wait in line!
Ticketmaster do set the price, they are lying.
@@ADHDIYuk they’re scum
Ticketmaster needs to be held accountable. This should be better regulated.
why an editor in a magazine/newspaper talks so disarticulated?
Can anyone explain how Ticketmaster can legally say they don't set the prices when they sell them on their site above the tickets face value?
They always claimed they were the greatest band in the world but time has shown us they were a band at the top of their game in the 90s with 2 great albums - big difference, they are no Stones.
1 good album. The first one.
You lot speaking about "must not mislead" people is top tier irony 😂
Whole country is a rip off
@@alternativelooney the only sensible comment in this entire thread is
Total utter rip off...
I love how the chattering classes detest Oasis, it's a feature of their snobbery.
Or maybe they just don't like the Gallaghers?!
Not everyone likes these annoying dickheads.
it might just be the music...but I do agree much of the music is reviewed by "the chattering classes" 😂
Or maybe they have realised how formulaic they were
BBC not reporting anything on the nottinghill carnival deaths is appalling, yet they have time for oasis tickets
Er, that is not true. A simple Google or RUclips search will shows many News and comment items on this. 2 deaths of lovely people is the largest deaths in 20 years. 2 MILLION people attended. 40, 000 volunteers and 9000 police.
Yawn

Most unproductive day of my life trying to get tickets..gluer in front of multiple screens all for nothing..fuck Ticketmaster
Ticketmaster doesn’t set the prices but they happily cash in on the price hikes!
They are heavily OVER RATED!The ONLY reason got back together is the huge bag of cash!Like untalented swiftee it is ALWAYS about the massive bags of 💰😬😡
Oasis blaming ticket master is one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard. Mugs.

So how exactly should we submit a complaint with ASA?
Any advice anyone?

Oasis we love you but this ticket sham is a joke
Been waiting for five hours, finally got in only to not be able to select any tickets due to "errors" on the website. Got kicked out after an hour of trying to select two tickets. Frustrating as f! In the evening I checked again to see if anything was left only to see the ticket prices were twice as high as before.
Other platforms even sold them for over £700. I love Oasis, but that's just ludicrous!
Are people with a normal income these days really expected to be able to pay for that? What about families who would have loved to go? I'm sorry, but I'm really starting to wonder who these shows are even for.... :(
Embarrassing all the middle aged blokes who think they're a Gallagher. Yeah like their music but you don't have to mirror them you wollies.

Stubhub need to give tickets back to the fans!!!
Was never going to spend 400 pound for a standing room. Also I was promised a ballot number, never got one. And Ticketmaster thought I was a bot.
Ticketmaster thought I was a bot 🤖

10s of thousands. Prob millions. Get it right honey
The Cure managed to stop this and even secured a refund for fans who had paid too much.Paul Heaton fixes ticket prices at £35,00. It can be done.
I had two tickets in the basket then got kicked out for having a tab open on safari. I had started there but realised I wasn’t logged in there, so I went to the app where I was. Apparently that was enough reason for them to chuck me to the back after 5 hours of waiting. Didn’t bother after that
Turns out the touts this time are the band themselves? According to Ticketmaster trying to divert blame on their "on demand" pricing
Hours to have people spend hundreds for the tickets. These platforms need to go
My uncle paid 700 for 2 standing fuckin tickets at Murrayfield
I’ll wait and people will sell in the next year
There it is. The reason tucketmaster will never adopt finger prints to buy tickets and finger prints on the doors in order to sto the touts. Touts drive up prices.
Why is there a monopoly for ticket sales?
If you did buy a ticket today, what additional costs were added onto the ticket price?
My plan is to let all these people pay silly amounts for tickets then when they are still doing gigs in 2026 because they obviously will I will go watch them for £50
And then after paying all that money, you can't see a shit cause everyone will be blocking the view with their phones.
I thought they had cracked down on ticket bots and touts, with people going to prison. Pure greed 💵 💵
